It seems a lot of people here are having a really hard time. I know I don't know any of you that well yet, but really, I just want to help. If anyone needs an impartial person to talk to, I'm willing. Listening is kind of what I do. I can offer advice or I can just be a sounding board, whatever it is you need. I'm not here to judge, just lend an ear, so to speak.

Everyone keeps saying everyone finds a place to help out in this war. Well, I'm not exactly a fighter and I won't, not anymore I can't, not yet but sometimes fighters are the ones who need a friendly shoulder the most.

It isn't my favorite term, no.

That's great. Because your profession isn't really my favorite either.

They've tried to analyze you, haven't they?

I haven't gone near one of your kind since my early residency days when I was forced to take the required sessions after the first patient I lost. I'm sure you'd have a ball trying to analyze me, if only I'd let you. That will be your real trick. No one's going to court-order a Jedi to anger management sessions.

"My kind"? I didn't realize we were a species all our own or something. However, sorry to disappoint, but I don't just analyze people for the hell of it. And I don't force myself on anyone. Usually I just pester till they have no ch

Jedi don't allow anger. That's the Sith. Stfu Claire, your nerd is showing

Yes, well, glad I got you all caught up, there. Then why do you analyze people at all? You're not so disconnected that it's all for the money. Psychologists have to care. You don't mean to tell me you never use those head-shrinker tricks in your daily life outside the office. That's good. I'm sure it's already abundantly clear I would not be a willing participant. But it begs the question...if you're not one of those over-aggressive types, then you must be the underhanded type that sneaks it in without most people realizing it. Am I wrong?

Do you always correct ridiculous examples with no real meaning or am I a special case?

No, of course it's not about the money. But I'm a professional. I can still have a life without constantly thinking of how to look at my friends. Is that really all you think we do? Just psychoanalyze people while we hang out with them? Believe it or not, we're not quite that ridiculous.

Is it really such a ridiculous example with no real meaning when we do have Jedi here and apparently a Sith who is going through a difficult time and thereby might, as you put it, have anger management issues? Nice try, though.

What makes you so much different than the majority of the rest of the population who have such a hard time separating work life and daily life? You really compartmentalize that well? I don't believe that.

So, you just have a need to always be right. Good to know.

The majority of the rest of my profession isn't me. And I don't take kindly to being lumped in with other people. How do you think people in the psychological field have friends? I mean, I'm guessing from your demeanor and your very cheerful attitude not to mention your show that you don't have a great deal of them. But I'm actually a very friendly person who doesn't have to live my life looking at every single motion of someone's hand as a clue to their inner demons.

Only with people who presume to know me and use stupid examples without checking into them to make sure the people here wouldn't be offended first.

I don't think about it much, really. And if that's supposed to be a shot at me, it's not a very good one. I don't need a ton of people around me to validate my existence.

I don't know if you've picked up on it or not, but I'll spell it out for you just in case: I don't care if I offend people.
