Filtered against evil
Things I have learned about your holidays:

--You guys really like beards on your mythological figures. Like, to an unhealthy degree. What's up with that?
--Never try to snake the last shopping cart from a woman surrounded by three kids.
--It is a Bad Idea to ask a woman in a black dress (a habit, I came to find out) if red and green were the beard guy's favorite colors. You won't get an answer, but you will lose 45 minutes of your life.
--It is way too fucking cold to be celebrating anything.
--Most importantly, your universe seems to approve my mocking Zell. All of the things I could have wished for, and stealing the last Balamb Garden hotdog right out from under his deeply obsessed nose is still the most satisfying thing I could have asked for.

Two questions: 1.) Are we done with the holidays until it's actually properly warm?
2.) Who does a guy talk to about getting a legal ID here? I'd really like it if I could make some money that your stores would actually take. I managed to charm my way into some groceries, but I'm pretty sure that only works the one time.

Not quite. Nice try, though, mate.

See, this is one of those cases where I'm right and you're extra wrong not just because you're wrong in the first place, but because you're disagreeing with me. After all, I said "close enough," and that in no way translates to "it is exactly that and in no way different at all."

But it's not quite close enough to write it off. Apples to oranges, mate. Now, which one of us is actually from the world and can conjure one? You're fun to argue with, though, I'll give you that.

Apples to oranges, huh? Well, apples and oranges are both fruits, therefor both similar in that respect, because there are similar attributes to them. They're in the same general family, thus, "close enough." And what can I say? I like a good argument every once in a while.

They fall into the same category, but are not the same thing! They have some similarities, but I don't know anyone that would substitute oranges for apples in a pie, mate. Not close enough, or not quite, anyway. Though, both make tasty juice. And you're not the only one that enjoys a good argument.

You should have said apples to beef or something. But then if you had used the pie thing I would have brought up shepherds pie, in which beef is pretty damn tasty. But I still stand by my "close enough" statement. Both are fruits of different flavors, both are spirit animals of different flavors.

I mention pie and you get off on a shepherds pie tangent? Really? And you've had shepherds pie? And they're close, but not close enough. I stand by that. And that spirit animal and patronus are not the same thing.

Actually, you mention pie, then I mention beef, and I just put the two together and came up with shepherds pie. And yeah, I've had it before. What, do you think it doesn't exist anywhere in America? It's one of those really easy things to make and I've been trying to get my dad to eat better, so I have to trick him into eating veggies sometimes by hiding them under potatoes and meat. And hey, that "close enough?" It's still right by where I'm standing.

Well, I assumed good shepherds pie doesn't exist in the states, if I'm being honest. My grandmum makes it sometimes and it's ace. You do the cooking for your dad that is slightly sweet. That still doesn't make your 'close enough' quite close enough to count.
