...you know, you've succeeded in one thing at least. I seriously pity you. Because you are very similar to who I used to be not so long ago. I hid myself away, watched other people fight for their lives from a safe distance, and used my own sad little life as an excuse for not helping. The difference between us is that I turned myself around before it was too late. So I may not know the details, but don't fucking think that I don't understand.

And for the record, pity does not equal either acceptance or forgiveness.
