How do I ask
This is very awkward
Why am I even asking this?

You both are women, so perhaps you can help me with something? Sunday is my and Svetlana's wedding anniversary and I need ideas for what to do. I want to take her somewhere nice, but I don't know where. Any ideas would be appreciated and helpful.

I would also appreciate it if neither of you said anything about this to Svetlana. I have all ready told her I'm taking her somewhere, but nothing beyond that.

Candlelight is really romantic. If you want to go out, make sure it's somewhere quiet that doesn't have a kids menu. Also? Flowers are nice.

Oh, you know what's really romantic? If you guys get spaghetti and you give her your last meatball. That's true love.

It is? I admit I did not know that, but I will keep it in mind now. Do you happen to know any restaurants that don't have a children's menu?

I think chain restaurants are the ones with kids' menus. They are kind of handy because it's cheaper, but it's cheaper, you know?

An anniversary! Obviously you need to make it special. Go all out. Make sure there's no doubt how much you love her. Really pile on the emotional stuff. And if there's a band of musicians wherever you go? Get them to play a special song for her at dinner.

You're getting her a gift, too, right?

I am thinking of getting her something, yes. I just do not know what yet. I may make her something.

Musicians playing is a good idea, I do like it. Svetlana loves classical music.

Making something is a great idea! And if you can't find classical musicians, a mariachi band is definitely the right route for you.
