Really hoping the curses stay.. well, not life threatening. Thankfully I didn't get a mistletoe. Not yet anyway I'd purposely went under a mistletoe multiple times in school but this is so different and Where I'm from, cursed objects? Serious, serious consequences. I'd studied a few at home. Just ones safely locked in glass cases, of course.

Maybe I'm just being paranoid? Maybe. It's not just that what I know of home, but also mostly the fact that I was cursed with a death-causing illness for a brief time during the Apocalypse, I'd rather not have that again, nor for anyone else to. Especially since I still remember almost not making it that time, but fortunately good prevailed in that instance. The one good thing then was having friends who cared, and someone who was to be a professor in my era in school, that helped me through that.

But rational thinking here, logic would dictate a pattern of harmless curses, so I'll choose to believe that it'll be fine. Even though magic and our lives back home sometimes runs in the opposite of logic Unless it ups the stakes a bit but I can't dwell on It could turn me into a ferret like my dad did, though truth compulsion isn't really a bad thing in itself Maybe I'll go watch some more movies or do broom flying, that'd be a good distraction now. Ohh, or Chaser practice just for fun.
