Who: Marian and Robin
What: Reunion of sorts
When: Early Afternoon
Where: The Library
Rating: TBD
Status: Complete

Marian brushed a curl back from her face, the loose bun not really keeping a hold of the curls all that well. She finished soon, that she was a little glad of. She had to come in rather early that morning and as fantastic as this place could be, it had been a little too quiet. Until five minutes ago, of course, when one of the girls who worked there with her realised Marian was leaving in twenty minutes so thought now would be a good time to pile her with the books that had to get put away. At least she didn't have to carry them, these little trolley things really were fantastic. She could get this done in no time, if she could just get to the right aisle.

She only had a couple more to put back, so she stopped next to where they kept the computers to fix the cream blouse she had on, the silk making her grin. Clothes were so easy to get now, and she rather appreciated the money she got from working here that allowed her to buy such nice things. Just as she was about to start pushing the trolley again a rather familiar face caught her attention from the corner of her eye. A grin split across her face as she found it difficult to breathe for a second.

"Robin?" she said quiet enough that it wouldn't bother others here, but loud enough that he wouls hear.

"You did not have to say it; it was plain on your face," he declared, enjoying her laughter.

To her question, he replied, "Trousers, I suppose." He really did like these ones, which were actually more comfortable than those he had had before; but, they stood out a bit, compared to the blue ones a majority of the people outside had been wearing.

"Oh was it?" she said with a raised eyebrow.

She nodded then led him over to the clothes, glancing around at all the various type of trousers they had. Taking his hand, she leaned against him a little as she looked.

"Any you like?"

Glancing around, he chose a dark pair, remembering the numbers the assistant had suggested he try. "What do you think about these?" Seeing a shirt over her shoulder that he rather fancied, he pointed it out. "And that?" It was a deep blue, with a lighter band around the chest. After having to blend into the forest the past few years, it was nice to be able to select something a bit brighter.

Marian stayed against him, her head dropping to his shoulder as she smiled when he chose something. Then he was pointing over her shoulder and she had no choice but to move away from his side to look. Nodding, she took a loot at the jeans then the shirt, smiling when she realised it would be quite nice.

"They're nice. Are there any other shirts you like? You need a couple."

He went to smile down at her, the way she was leant on him making him content all over again. After five years at war, two years outlawed in the forest, and nearly half a year bordering on insanity from grief and anger, he was amazed that such a small gesture could relax him so instantly.

But she was already moving to see the shirt he had indicated, and he wished he had not noticed it. Soon, he had picked another that she also approved, and, holding the bundle, he asked, "What now?"

She let him take what he wanted, knowing they would get more things tomorrow. He just needed the basics right now, and the basics included something for him to sleep in. Leading him to the softer trousers and the t-shirts, she nodded for him to go ahead.

"Something for you to sleep in tonight."

"Are you certain this is not too dear?" he asked quietly. He had not had the luxury of sleepwear in so long, he would not miss it. If she was working to support herself, he was not about to have her spend any more of her wages on him than he could help.

"Of course," she said with a smile.

Working for as long as she did each day she had more than enough. After all, she didn't need much for herself so most of the money just sat there, waiting for her to use it whenever the need arised.

"Go on then," she said with a smile.

He selected a pair of brown patterned "pajama pants," according to the sign, and a dark green top. As he did, he laughed at himself somewhat; he had just been enjoying the opportunity to select non-foresty colors, but still found that he was most comfortable with something that would have let him disappear into Sherwood whilst he was sleeping.

The assistant had shown them the dressing rooms, where Robin could make sure everything fit. It all did, although the fastening on the trousers took him a second (how clever was that?), and soon, they were on their way out the door, and he had learned a little about the substance called "plastic," which seemed to be everywhere.

Marian took him to one more store after that, and if he had thought the clothing store was large, he was astounded at how many and varied things were offered for sale. When they left, he had another bag in hand, this one containing myriad bottles and other small objects he would apparently need. He was strangely excited to try it all out; but at the same time, he was also looking forward to just having a chance to sit and talk with Marian.
