Who: Phoebe, Clark, and Good!Wyatt
Where: A park in San Francisco
What: Phoebe attempts to strip Clark's powers, and is interrupted by Wyatt
When: After this and this
Rating: TBD
Status: Complete; Closed

Phoebe told Cal and Needy to wait for her, then headed for a nearby park. She could handle this on her own. Finding a small, empty clearing, she mentally prepared, then whispered a small, altered spell to bring the Book of Shadows to her. The spell she wanted wasn't one she'd memorized, and she would need the Book.

"I call upon the Ancient Power, to help me in this bright hour. Let the Book come to this place, take refuge from its current place." A smile lit her lips as it appeared a few seconds later amidst gold sparkles. She settled down lightly onto the grass and began to flip through to find the spell she was looking for as she waited for Clark to show up.

She planned for this to take only a few minutes before she could rejoin her two new friends.

Once he got the exact address that he needed in order to find the witch who was going to help him, Clark immediately pulled a jacket on and took off for San Francisco. It would have taken most people several hours to get from Lawrence to there, but with the help of his superspeed Clark managed to get to the city within a few short minutes. He didn't know this Phoebe woman very well, but if she was the only one who could help him, then why would Clark hesitate? Lois wanted him to be normal. She needed for him to be normal. And Clark? He planned on giving Lois Lane exactly what she wanted.

Spotting the somewhat familiar figure of the woman in question, Clark shoved his hands into his pockets and moved to approach her with a determined look plastered across his face. The only experience that Clark really had with witches in the past were bad. His ex-girlfriend had gotten possessed by a long lost ancestor who had been burned at the stake - one that had been looking to get both revenge and power upon her appearance to the future. Unlike most things on earth, magic was capable of making a difference when it came to Clark. It could hurt him, it could control him - Clark Kent may have been the Man of Steel, but not even he could resist magic. It was why he was certain that this would work. It had to.

"Hello?" Clark waved off at Phoebe a little sheepishly.

Wyatt had been sitting back allowing his Aunt to make a fool of herself because he realized this wasn't who she normally was, but the way she was acting about taking Clark's powers, and what he sensed from her told him she was actually planning on doing it. She couldn't take Clark's powers. He hadn't met him yet, but he had heard the he was Superman, like Clark Kent, comic book, Superman, and taking his powers couldn't be done. He figured if he needed to he could bind them for him so he would be happy and then when all this was over un bind them, but only if he absolutely had to.

He closed his eyes to sense his Aunt, trying to see where she had gone to, and he smiled when he recognized it. She was in San Francisco. He missed his San Francisco, and after he figured out what was going on in this world, he might move back there, but he needed to help here in any way he could, so he placed the chrystals in his apartment so when he brought her back all he would have to do was to place the last one, and she wouldn't be able to leave the circle until whatever was wrong with her was done.

He orbed to the very familiar park, in which he had battled many demons, though it looked a little different. The trees were smaller, he was right in front of his Aunt and Clark. He was hopefully in time, but then he noticed something else. She had the book. How did it even exist in this reatlity? But at least they would have the book now when she got better. "Aunt Phoebe, what do you say we go back to Lawrence now?"

He stuck out his hands and mentally orbed the book away from her and into his own arms, so she wouldn't be able to use any of the spells in she hadn't memorized against him.

When she heard the voice, Phoebe's dark head raised, and she smiled slowly, looking him over. "Hello, Clark. So nice to see you." She was practically licking her lips. Moving to her feet, she held the book carefully.

"Glad you could make it. I'm nearly done finding the spell I think will work." She had no problem with doing something that normally she wouldn't even attempt alone.

Before she could even think of telling him what might happen or begin the spell, she heard an oh-so familiar sound accompanied by a bright flash of blue and white light. Looking to her right, she saw that it wasn't who she had expected. "Wyatt. You really are your parents' son." She pouted. "They're so good at ruining the fun, too."

The book disappeared in her hands and she shook her head in disappointment. "Didn't we raise you in the future to help people? Clearly, Clark here has something that he doesn't want anymore. So why don't you be a good little boy and run along, letting your aunt deal with this?" While the words may have made sense, her tone wasn't quite as sweet as it could've been.

Clark greeted Phoebe with a warmer smile when she verified that he was approaching the right person. He was on the verge of expressing his gratitude for her offer when someone else appeared, interrupting them. Clark turned to look at the other man, brows rising curiously. He didn't know him either. From the sounds of it, he was related to Phoebe. Was this the family of witches that he had heard so much about? Hands sliding out of his pockets, Clark looked between the two individuals in confusion.

"Is there a problem here?" He was being as polite as possible about the situation, but Clark didn't know how much longer he could do so. Lois needed for him to be normal. He could only deprive her of that for but so long. If Phoebe was the one that could help him get what he wanted, then he didn't much like the idea of this other guy getting in the way. Didn't he realize that Clark was on an important mission? "Because she's trying to help me with something important. It really can't wait. So maybe you should give her that book back and let us finish. Then you could talk afterward?"

Clark looked back to Phoebe uncertainly. In doing so, he spotted a flash of something hanging around her neck. Something red; something familiar. If Clark didn't know any better, he'd almost think that it was...his eyes widened slightly and, for a moment, Clark almost forgot as to why he was standing in the middle of that park in the first place. "Where did you get that necklace?"

Wyatt shook his head at his Aunt Phoebe. She would have never said something like that to him if she was feeling like herself. He had heard stories of the times where the sisters had been under the influence of spells, and this definitely seemed like one of those times. Then Clark spoke to him about his powers and that brought him back into what he was trying to do. He looked over at Clark, making sure he kept a good grip on the book, not sure what Phoebe would try when he took his eyes off her, and spoke. "Listen Clark, I know you want to get rid of your powers, but if you really want to, I'll bind them for you, but only bind them. I won't strip them. Phoebe's not feeling herself, and I know she might not say it, but she isn't so just let me get her back to Lawrence, and then we can figure that out."

He then turned back to Phoebe, trying to speak to her, and if she tried to get away, he would have to orb her back to the crystal cage without her consent, but he needed to get her under control. "I am going to help him, but you aren't. You're in no position to be using any magic right now." That was definitely his mother coming out in the way he said that, as well.

Her dark gaze shifted to Clark for a moment and she shook her head. "There's no problem. Wyatt here was just leaving." She was momentarily distracted as Wyatt explained about binding his powers. "That could be done, sure, but it's so easy to unbind them that you don't want it to happen at the...wrong moment." Meaning, from what she could tell, you didn't want his powers coming back while he was in the middle of sex with his girlfriend.

That was when Clark asked about the necklace. She glanced down to it, then gave a light half shrug. "Picked it up the other day while shopping. Does it really matter?" As Wyatt tried to actually lecture her, she turned towards him with a smirk.

"You can't stop me, Wyatt. I'll use magic when and however I like."

Oh, no. Clark definitely did not want to have his powers unbind themselves while he was with Lois. What if he hurt her? Clark couldn't risk that. He had to find another way - no, he had to go with Phoebe's way. It was the safest, wasn't it? "No, she's right about this. They have to be taken away completely. I can't risk hurting Lois." Clark was rather set on his opinion as far as that was concerned. He would not stand for any accidents happening. He had seen the bad end of his powers going wrong before and he never wanted to see Lois end up on the wrong side of them like that. Not if he could help it.

"Please." Clark looked to Wyatt insistently. "Let her do this for me." He didn't want to get in between the two of them and their conflicts, but he would do so if he had to. There was no way that Clark was going to disappoint Lois.

Phoebe merely shrugged off Clark's question. Clark, however, didn't seem to be so certain about the necklace. He couldn't stop staring at it. It looked so familiar. "It does matter," he pressed, stepping forward a little bit. "In fact, I think you should take it off. Let me see it up close." As much as he wanted to get Phoebe to help him, Clark couldn't forget what Wyatt had said either. She wasn't herself. If that was true..."There's something wrong with that necklace."

Wyatt rolled his eyes at his Aunt. She was actually trying to get Clark to completely strip his powers, and Wyatt couldn't allow it, so he did the only thing he knew how, which played on his arrogance a bit. "Clark, If I'm the one to bind your powers, they won't unbind, unless I unbind them." He knew he could do that too, because with his projection powers, he could almost put a lock on his spells, to make sure they don't wear off or can't be reversed by anyone but him, so Phoebe didn't try anything like that after he had done it.

The talk about the necklace wasn't really taken notice by Wyatt. He thought that the entire town was under some kind of spell, and one necklace couldn't be doing this to everyone, so he didn't think that it could have been the necklace so he ignored that part of the conversation.

He laughed at Phoebe's statement that he couldn't stop her, because that was exactly what he planned on doing. With a firm grasp on the book and quick look over at Clark. "I promise I'll fix you up back in Lawrence. Contact me there." He reached out and grabbed his Aunt's arm and orbed back to his apartment into the center of the circle, and then stepping out of it quickly as he orbed the last crystal into place. "I think I can keep you under control if I have to."

Phoebe glared at her nephew. She could've done the binding, but it was obvious Clark didn't want that. Why not give him what he was asking for? Again Clark was talking about the necklace, and her dark gaze shifted back to him. "There's nothing wrong with it. If you want one for your little girlfriend, I might remember where I got it." She waved a hand dismissively.

As her hand was in the air, Wyatt caught her arm. "Hey!" But before she could focus on trying to break free, Clark stepped forward and yanked the necklace from around her neck. "Ow, hey! Give that ba-" In mid exclamation, she and Wyatt disappeared in a swirl of blue and white orbs.

When she rematerialized, Phoebe fell to her knees as soon as Wyatt let her go, blinking in confusion and looking up just as the cage went up. "Wha-?" She raised a hand to it without thinking, and the blast, combined with the sudden influx of her thoughts returning to normality, caused her to collapse, unconscious.

Clark didn't like the way that this was all going. He didn't like that Wyatt was complicating the situation and he certainly didn't like that Phoebe was wearing what he was almost a hundred percent certain to be red kryptonite. So, right when Wyatt grabbed Phoebe, Clark reached forward and wrapped his fingers around the chain of her necklace. He didn't waste any time in ripping it from her neck. As soon as he did so, the pair that Clark had been talking to vanished into thin air, leaving him with nothing more than the red kryptonite to keep him company.

It was only quick thinking that kept the kryptonite from hitting Clark. He had it in the palm of his hand one second, in which his eyes immediately began to flash red, and then the next Clark dropped it onto the ground in a hurry. In that moment, a dozen different emotions flashed through him: rage, hate, envy, desire. All the emotions that Clark Kent bottled away and rarely let out, each leaping up to the surface eager to break free. But he wouldn't have it. No, red kryptonite was bad news. So Clark stared down at the rock that he had dropped to the ground. With Phoebe and Wyatt gone, he had nothing more to do than begin contemplating an alternate path to take in order to please Lois.

At the same time, he also had another curiosity to consider: what kryptonite was doing here, within this alternate universe, in the first place.
