It was too early to hunt, last night she had only played, and by luck, her target had won, game over, and so she had left him alone. Tonight she'd try again. But not until later. It was too early right now. Not enough people to choose from. Still, there was no harm in just a little fun before hand. She hadn't gone back to her apartment the other day, choosing to put herself up at a hotel. She'd called into work sick, and turned off her cellphone just in case Adam tried to track her down. She had a feeling he'd show up eventually, but with any luck it wouldn't be for a while. Adam? He was no fun.

But the Medical Student that she was sitting beside? He was fun. He smelled of old spice, alcohol and a little sweat. He was clean, he was smart, but he was also drunk, and a male. They all wanted the same thing in the end. She had no problem with making that happen, at least for a little while.

She was close to the guy, Josh...Drew, something like that. It wasn't important, really. The friend he came here with was less attractive, and not having any luck with the girl he was trying to hit on. And he wouldn't either. The smell of him alone was enough to turn anyone off, even if they didn't have Kate's sense of smell. "Lets dance." she said, speaking softly over his shoulder, before nudging him gently out of the chairs and toward the floor.

As she slid off the seat, she looked over her shoulder toward the door, blue eyes scanning the crowed, just in case.

Ever since Kate's post on the message boards, Adam had been unable to shake the sinking feeling in his stomach that something was very, very wrong. It hadn't sounded like her at all and playing cat and mouse? Yeah, that wasn't good. All attempts to reach her by phone had ended in going straight to voicemail and she wasn't home.

His first thought had been possession, but then perfectly nice people were starting to act like perfect assholes and he wasn't so sure anymore. Still, there was a bottle of holy water in one coat pocket and a crumpled piece of paper with the exorcism written out in the other. He really hoped the devil's trap thing wasn't going to be a neccessity. If it was even possession, which he was starting to doubt.

So where did suddenly evil-like people go? Hell if he knew. After a brief debate, he decided to go with bars and clubs. Somehow, Wal-Mart and IHOP didn't exactly scream gathering place for the suddenly mean, evil, or asshole-ish crowd.

It was later in the evening and a few places later when he finally found her. First it was spotting the blond, then some dude with her. When she turned to look towards the door, he knew he'd found her. Adam started shouldering his way through the crowd, giving a few people a little extra 'nudge' with his abilities to get them to move faster. "Kate!"

Her head spun back around when she heard her name over the crowed of people. She knew that voice. Blue eyes narrowed as she glared over a Adam, before the frowned melted and turned into a smile. What was he going to do, start a fire in the bar to get her out? Not likely.

Instead she simply waved over her shoulder before nudging the boy further into the crowed of people, her hands never leaving his side. It didn't take long to become swallowed by the crowed. She knew Adam could part people pretty quickly, but that was about as all as he could do.

Once on the floor she spun around the guy, and placed him between herself and Adam, so Kate could keep a close eye on the crowed, to see if Adam was going to insist on this. Her med student was talking to her, and she vaguely listened to make the appropriate responses when needed, but mostly her eyes were on the area Adam should come through, a smirk on her face.

She was faster and stronger, with not doubt. If she wanted, Kate could be a threat. She was a threat, she was a predator in a room full of potential pray who didn't even know better. The question was how would this play out and affect her mood?

She'd seen him and just blown him off to go with...well, whoever the hell he was. He'd understand if he was interrupting a date because hey, who wants their date interrupted? But he had a gut feeling that this wasn't a date situation. He pushed his shoulder into the back of some guy talking loudly to be heard over the music. Truth was, he might have anyway. Guy was way to self-absorbed to be holding court.

Then she was gone. Adam paused by the bar, rising up on his toes to try and see over the crowd. It would have been nice to be a few inches taller. It didn't even occur to him until now what he was going to do when he caught up with her. Her werewolf, him half-demon. That package didn't come with a nice little strength and speed upgrade that hers did.

He stood up on the lower rung of a nearby bar stool, giving him a few more inches over the crowd. There...or at least he thought it was her beause if not, he was about to start stalking a random blond. Hopping down, he started pushing through the crowd again, a little less careful this time. He pushed his way over, past a necking couple that took great offense to him coming between them. Finally, he got a glimpse of his target.

"So hey, that was fun, only not," he said, raising his voice to be heard. "Stay. Put."

Kates amusement was easily read on her face as Adam finally came into view. Well, looks like it was time to move on. Pulling back just a little she wrapped her arms around the medical student and titled her head just a little to look up at him. "I'll be right back. Why don't you see if you can lend your friend a hand. He's dying over there." she said, before flashing him a suggestive look and then slipping away.

Time to split. She glanced at Adam again, and then darted into the crowed in another direction. Kate wasn't against using her strength it just push right through the crowed, getting a few glares from other girls which she ignored. Let them bitch, it wasn't like they could do anything.

Adam coming after her would get old, fast. Where was the other were? The the kitty? He could be entertaining.

Glancing over her shoulder, the blonde did her best to move as quickly through the people as she good, heading for the door. If she managed to get out into the street, she'd probably be able to ditch him easily. Open space was her friend, once she started running she didn't slow down easily.

What part of stay put did she not understand? And to make matters worse, the love struck idiot she'd lured out onto the floor was standing right in his way, watching her go. "Ok, seriously dude, move," Adam said finally, elbowing him out of the way as he ran past. This time, he really didn't refrain from pushing and shoving. His first priority was getting to her.

Unfortunately, that made him look like the bad guy. A couple people noticed that he was persuing the blond that had just passed through in a hurry and jumped to conclusions. Hands reached out to grab his arms and Adam slapped them away, followed by shouts for security. Shit, shit, shit!

A little hot touch turned out to be motivational. People pulled back as if they'd been stung, shaking hands and rubbing arms. "KAT!" Adam shouted, for all the good it was going to do him. Wait, was that the door? Not good. Really not good. He pushed faster.

The blonde glanced over her shoulder, a smirk on her face. She thought for sure she was in the clear. Until she nearly collided with another body. Kate looked back around, and then looked up. He was big, he was tall, he was security. He was also shit out of luck and putting himself in danger. But apparently the crowed hadn't taken too kindly to Kate shoving her way though so easily.

"Whoa." said the security guard, placing one hand on Kate's shoulder. "So down there, sweetheart, you can just push people like that." Kate's hands flew up and pushed the guards hands away, hers narrowing. What could only be a threatening growl came from her, sounding entirely not human. Any other mammal would have smelled and heard wolf. They'd see trouble, and they'd run.

But the guard was stupid, and held his ground. It slowed her down, no doubt Adam would get to her, but she wasn't thinking about that now. He'd managed to piss her off, so maybe he needed to find out why he shouldn't touch just anyone.

[ooc: SORRY. I got caught up in work and then spaced!]

Right now, he could have hugged that security guard. He'd slowed down Kate enough that he at least stood a chance of closing the distance between him and her to...oh. It took a moment for the realization of how not good it was with her in the state she was and him doing what he was doing. That was really bad.

He was pushing through the crowd full out now, getting less complaints as people moved quicker now that one person had pushed through them. At this rate, he might be able to grab her and with some quick excuse, drag her outside. Then maybe tie her up until she came to her senses. If he could find strong enough rope.

"Whoa, hey!" he shouted, holding up a hand as he pushed through the crowd. "Just a minor misunderstanding here. You know." He mimed taking a drink. "A few misunderstandings, get what I mean? But we will leave and there will be no more misunderstandings." His laugh was awkward and strained. "All right? Good. Let's go," he stated, aiming the remark with emphasis at Kate.

((No worries!))

He was lucky. Oh so very lucky. If Kate had actually been feeling the alcohol she drank, she'd have had to drink probably triple the amount, if not more. Rolling her eyes, she allowed Adam to get away with the excuse.

When the security guard allowed them to walk by, kept her eyes up at him for as long as she could, her teeth almost bared in a more than creepy way before she walked out of the building, Adam no doubt hot on her heals in more than one way. She just wanted to have fun. To run, to be free, to let her out of her constant cage. They were just humans. Just normal, everyday humans. A class below them. They were weak, and they wee large in number. One or two deaths wouldn't be missed.

The street held a various amount of people, none that Kate paid any attention to as she turned on her heals, glaring to look at Adam. "You just had to follow me, didn't you?" she stated. "What's the matter with you? Why are you being such a pain in the ass? You're supposed to be the fun one."

There was that tense moment where he was actually praying to anyone interested in fielding a half-demon's prayers that things went smoothly, even though they rarely did. When the bouncer moved and Kate walked by, he sighed in relief, shoulders sagging just slightly. All right, so that wasn't the hard part but it was one less thing to deal with the aftermath of.

He followed her out of the club, staying close but back just far enough to be out of arm's reach. Probably wouldn't have done him a damn bit of good but he wasn't going to make it easy. "Yes, I did," he replied, crossing his arms over his chest, realizing in that moment that he sounded a lot like Paige when she was shutting down his ideas of fun.

"I'm being such a pain in the ass because you're acting weird. Because cat and mouse? Really?" he said, refusing to back down on that glare. Even if it was a little on the scary side. She was Daddy's Little Girl. "I am the fun one but that doesn't involve terrorizing Lawrence for my enjoyment. We're the people that keep that from happening, remember?"
