She'd seen him and just blown him off to go with...well, whoever the hell he was. He'd understand if he was interrupting a date because hey, who wants their date interrupted? But he had a gut feeling that this wasn't a date situation. He pushed his shoulder into the back of some guy talking loudly to be heard over the music. Truth was, he might have anyway. Guy was way to self-absorbed to be holding court.
Then she was gone. Adam paused by the bar, rising up on his toes to try and see over the crowd. It would have been nice to be a few inches taller. It didn't even occur to him until now what he was going to do when he caught up with her. Her werewolf, him half-demon. That package didn't come with a nice little strength and speed upgrade that hers did.
He stood up on the lower rung of a nearby bar stool, giving him a few more inches over the crowd. There...or at least he thought it was her beause if not, he was about to start stalking a random blond. Hopping down, he started pushing through the crowd again, a little less careful this time. He pushed his way over, past a necking couple that took great offense to him coming between them. Finally, he got a glimpse of his target.
"So hey, that was fun, only not," he said, raising his voice to be heard. "Stay. Put."
