Who: Needy and OPEN
What: Being somewhere aside from the apartments.
Where: Out for a walk.
When: Night time, a couple hours after her post.

The only thing Needy cared about as she walked down the street was being anywhere but the apartments. She had to get as far away from that girl as she could, or at least as far as she could walk, because just bolting would probably look really freaking bad considering the face that had just showed up.

And yes, The Face. Because it wasn't the girl that bothered her, it was the fact that she looked like Jennifer. Thanks to Danny showing up looking like Sam she had already come to accept that sometimes people showed up that looked like other people. But she didn't want anyone showing up looking like Jennifer, she would have taken anyone but her. And Needy didn't want to end up snapping and attacking Shay if she saw her. Sometimes she saw people that weren't really there, and Jennifer was almost always in the bunch. Most of the time Needy could ignore them, but other times... not so much. She didn't want to end up being around Shay when she thought she was just seeing things again.

And that was what took her down the street that night. She wasn't going anywhere in particular, and even though she had been snagged not too long ago being out there was preferable to being near Shay, even if she wasn't in the same room as her. But at least she knew to stick to somewhat populated areas and headed towards one of the areas with lots of bars and shops.

He laughed then, shaking his head, "Usually that's a pretty obvious observation. Moreso when you know what's out there, I guess." He rolled up his sleeve to show her the faint dimpled scars along his elbow, "Werewolf. Well, Kin, but most people call them werewolves, lucky he didn't get my whole arm."

"Ouch, yeah." Needy nodded, looking at Cal's scars. "Glad to see you've still got that arm. So I guess getting bit by a werewolf doesn't make you one of them in your world, huh?"

He shook his head, "Nope, they're sort of their own species. There's some cross-breeding, but it's rare." He shook his head again, "And wow that sounded gross, but yeah, I'm glad I've still got the arm too, it was ... not a good situation."

Needy couldn't help making a face at that description. She really couldn't. "Yeah, that did sound pretty bad, actually. And I would have guessed that it was a bad situation if you had to worry about losing your arm." And then a thought hit her and she chuckled a bit. "You're from a world where, weirdly enough, werewolf bites don't make you one of them, and I'm from one where a demon bite... well, it kinda does. I think we're from some ass backwards places."

He huffed a laugh at that, shaking his head, "And we're both off from the way things work here, which is a little freaky, but whatever, when in Rome and all that."

Needy nodded a little, the slightest of grins tugging at the corner of her mouth. "Hey, nothing would have happened to me if I got bit here. And the bite would actually heal I bet," she reached up to rub at her shoulder without thinking when she said that. "But if you got bit here you'd be turning all fuzzy on full moons. And the Winchesters would be after your ass."

"Dunno, human mouth's got some pretty nasty germs in it, you might've gotten infected. Other than that though, yeah, probably not much."

A head shake then, "And forget the Winchesters, I'd probably have half the people here after my fuzzy butt."

"True. But there's medicine and shit for infections, so that could be taken care of. Not that it matters anyway, because I'd probably be dead already if I didn't get bitten back home." She shrugged, chuckling a little. "True. I just saw them say they killed werewolves somewhere once, so they were the ones that jumped into my head first."

He nodded at that, "Yeah, not something I'd wish on my worst enemy... well, maybe them. The monthly fuzzies, that is." He shrugged, "Figure that'd be worse than just dead, but I don't know for sure."

"Actually, believe it or not, if someone let me pick between Jennifer getting the monthly fuzzies or needing to eat someone once a month? I would have probably picked fuzzies. If it was the typical legends kind, at least." Needy probably wouldn't have had to kill her in that case.

Okay, maybe she still would have, but still.

He shrugged, "I don't know, legends where I'm from are pretty brutal, whole lot of killing with the fuzzies. Dingos ate my baby kind of stuff."

"True," Needy nodded, thinking back. "Well, there's a bunch of different kinds where I'm from. Plus the stuff in books like Anita Blake and everything."

He shrugged, "Haven't read any of those, so I don't even know. But yeah, most of the stories back home don't even match up with the reality. Not many people know that though, if anybody. Hell, I've seen people chasing after changelings on the street thinking they were lost dogs."

"I read the first few. It's about a chick that's a vampire executioner, and she knows lots of vamps and werewolves and assassins and stuff." Needy shrugged some. "I started reading them before the weird stuff happened, and then I just sort of... lost interest when I found out that hey, at least demons actually are real."

"I mostly read science fiction." He shrugged, "Sometimes like, old-timey historical fiction, once in a while." And most of his books had scantily clad women on the covers. But he didn't feel the need to mention that part.

"Though now that I've been brought here I might stop doing that too, since this is about as science fictional as it gets." He shook his head, "Sounds like the premise for a bad sitcom, doesn't it?"

Chuckling, Needy shook her head. "God, I have no idea what to read or watch any more. Horror movies are out, science fiction, fantasy... Most of that is way too real here."

She thought about the idea of their lives being the premise of a tv show and nodded. "Oh yeah. It really does. Or at least a comic book or something. Where else would you find stories of Superman living in the same building as Ron Weasley?"

"Exactly!" He said, grinning again, "Just add a laugh track and it'd run for like, twelve seasons until it's well past it's shelf-life and people are just watching to see how badly it falls apart."

Needy laughed once more, shaking her head. "Nah, it'd never fall apart. A show like that, no character is too obscure to throw into the apartment! I mean, look at me?"

He shrugged, "Still think the movie's mostly hearsey." And he would stand by that conviction, really. Another faint smile, "But yeah, you're right. And even with all the armageddon, I still think it'd be a sitcom."

[info]hellisagirl

"Yeah, I sure as hell hope it is." Not that she planned on seeing it or anything. If she could she'd stay far away. Seeing it would just piss her off. And, you know, possibly make her a bit more unstable. "And of course it would be a sitcom. What wacky situation do the gang get into this week?"

He nodded, "Exactly, and c'mon, what else but a sitcom would have that kind of premise? It's like celebrity big brother and survivor all at once."

Needy chuckled. "Robot Chicken had some skits that were superheroes on The Real World. And that stupid cartoon that was on Comedy Central a couple years ago, Drawn Together? It was the same thing, but with knock off versions of characters."

"A lot of this is major cosmic bull if you ask me," Needy said simply, shrugging. "Including, but seriously not limited to, getting sucked here in the first place. But hey, at least I'm one of the few that can honestly say it's better for me here than back home.
