Spike & Buffy
Friday night, October 19, 2012; Lawrence cemetery
Patrolling, talking, things?
"Well, Slayer, looks like you've got to show me the ropes. I don't know a bloody thing about dealing with the evils here."
The last week had been, to put it quite simply, fucking nuts. Spike wasn't sure what to make of all of it. With so many familiar aspects to it, there was a rather large part of him that was mostly indifferent to it, but some of the newer aspects that Lawrence brought along with it? He was mostly trying to avoid it altogether. Landing in an alternate universe where you life becomes the fictitious work of someone else? Not exactly an everyday occurence, even where Sunnydale and all it's personal brand of crazy were concerned. This was a new one on him entirely. Throw in Xander from the days when Spike was evil and Tara here prior to her death and the week was basically one giant clusterfuck. So, when Buffy mentioned patrolling? Hell yes, he jumped at the opportunity. It'd give him something to do, to occupy his mind with, and it'd get him out of his flat for a bit. And he could see her, which was, honestly, never bad. Well. Mostly.
He tracked his way through the town, which he'd already taken the liberty of exploring a bit, and headed towards the cemetery where she said she'd be. He found her almost immediately. Whether that was the vampire-slayer sense, or just because he knew her so well, he wasn't sure. "Well, Slayer," he took drag from a cigarette he'd only lit a few moments ago, "looks like you've got to show me the ropes. I don't know a bloody thing about dealing with the evils here."
