Who:Jules and Rose
What:BFF time. ♥ ♥ ♥
When:sunday!
Where:Kansas City
Warnings: Jules + too many shoes?

Juliet had been a little bit disappointed she missed the karaoke party with paperwork. She'd also missed the Lexi Party. But the good news was there was shopping in her future. Much needed get the hell out of Kansas shopping, with Rose. Being around Rose always made her smile, no matter what mood she was in. She vaguely wondered if Rose was made out of puppies and rainbows and other things while she did the usual daily routines. She practically considered the blond her sister. She was always there, and Jules was looking forward to spending time with her alone.

It wasn't that she didn't like Elena, or Roses other friends but these were the types of things she cherished. She left a note for Dean and told him she'd be out in Kansas City for the day with Rose, she had her cell phone on her and the usual things. She was determined to go have fun. She didn't have work to worry about, or ghosts lurking about. Paris was still on the backburner until Death was taken care of so Jules desperately needed the day trip. She couldn't even remember the last time she'd been away from Lawrence. Picking up her purse and slipping out of Dean's apartment, she headed for the lobby to wait. Part of her still frequently missed home, but days like this made it suck a lot less.

She loved all the new friends and family she gained in Lawrence, but it was still hard sometimes. There were still times she felt so lost with all the hunting apocalypse things it was frustrating. Shopping was a rare thing these days. Jules needed the normalcy something fierce.

Rose was really, really glad she had Juliet. Her friend wasn't just a good friend, but an expert shopper. It reminded her of Anna, the very first person to come into her life in Lawrence. Well. In person, anyway. She'd been the one to tell her that it was okay to enjoy just living. That maybe the fight to the end of the Apocalypse didn't always have to be battles and exorcisms and Seal-related insanity. Sometimes it could just be coffee and shopping with friends and falling in love and going to parties and having fun. Being human, Lucifer's least favorite thing. And just then, that's what she wanted.

She felt guilty about turning down Sam's offer to go along on the hunt. Or not choosing to ask for another. But she was still angry with this world. It was fading over time, but now and again something happened to remind her just how badly life could hurt. And she just wasn't ready to fight for a Seal who couldn't be bothered to fight for her. So she worked herself to the bone, hung out with her friends, took care of not!her dog, and went shopping.

Before she knew it, they were in the shoes, because clearly, Jules needed an intervention. Rose was typically content in a pair of trainers but maybe it wouldn't hurt to dress up now and again. If she was really going to make an effort at moving on, it might be nice to be noticed once in a while. "What about these?" she asked, holding up the pumps and on instinct, checking the price. Thanks to her Bauble, it wasn't actually something she had to worry about, but once an Estate girl, always an Estate girl.

If all Juliet thought about was work and apocalypses, Kansas really would have been a miserable place to live. There was absolutely nothing wrong with getting out of the city and splurging once in a while and she was damn determined to make sure Rose enjoyed herself and found something strappy. Or possibly in her case ankle boots. Rose would look adorable in ankle boots, so she browsed the boxes until her attention was pulled toward the pumps. "Oooh. Try them! Then try these." She had a few boxes in her arms that she brought over to her.

"Ankle boots are a thing now. The slouchy ones are my favorite. I'm getting one with studs and one buckles. I missed fall." She grinned widely as she sat on one of the small benches made for trying on shoes and pulled one of the black pairs of ankle boots on with small silver studs. "You know what, there's actually a skirt over there that would look perfect with the ones you're holding..."She nudged toward an army green colored skirt hanging up on one of the walls.

"It's been way too long since we've done anything like this. It needs to happen more. Cause really, one more minute in Lawrence and I was going to lose my mind. No joke."

Juliet was so much better at putting outfits together than Rose was. She'd grown up in London and yet still was perfectly comfortable in denims, a t-shirt, and trainers. She could do amazing things in a secondhand store, though, picking out different pieces to make super hot club clothes. And that time in the TARDIS... Well, that closet was like a giant dress-up box. All the fun outfits in existence were there for the taking. But actually looking cute and fashionable on a day to day basis? That could be harder than planned.

She glanced at the boots in Juliet's hand and her eyes lit up a little. "Those actually look comfortable," she said excitedly, then blushed. "Look, when you run around with the Doctor for years, you learn to appreciate the joy of flats." And they were slouchy and fun and cute. "Denims?" she asked, eyeing the shoes in Jules' arms.

She sat on the bench across from her friend, hating this part. This was why she didn't like shoes. All the trying on, trying to pick the best ones. Oh, she loved how they looked on other people, on display, and even in the box. But trying them on was just painful! "You know I'm always up for a Get Out of Lawrence Free Card. You know, unless we're under attack by the freak of the week or whatever." Hell, she felt guilty just being there then with Death hanging around. But now that she was pretty sure the Horseman was somehow on their side, she wasn't too worried.

Sure she might have grown up with brothers, but she was still a girl at heart. Especially when it came to shopping. Shopping was her time. A thing she excelled in away from her brothers when they started getting too obnoxious to deal with. "You know, I don't think I've actually seen the entire TARDIS." She'd seen bits when going to pick Rose up for things or meet her, but she'd never really explored it. Or pushed any buttons or anything like that. She gave Rose a facial shrug. "I doubt your new not-quite-Doctor will let me see it now though." She shifted her eyes a bit and handed Rose the box of shoes.

"Of course. I know you and your Denim love." She changed the subject and put the box down infront of her as she tried on her own boots opposite of Rose. "I can chase bad guys in heels Rose, don't you use that." She grinned and zipped up a pair of black ankle boots. "..The one thing I do love about this place is my unlimited credit card. Not even going to lie."

The blond nodded and laughed. "Reasons I love you. Freak of the Week. We should really start making a chart of these things at some point." Part of Jules felt guilty about being away too while he was still lurking about but the other get the fuck out need told the former part to shut up and enjoy it. "This needs to happen more often. Oh, and you need to tell me about your date with Mr.Pansexual. Details." God even saying that she felt like she was back in high school again.

Rose grinned widely. "No one's seen the entire thing, Jules," she pointed out with a laugh. "I'm not even sure the Doctor has. You should still come by, though." Her eyes narrowed a little at the 'not-quite-Doctor' comment. "It's not really his choice," she pointed out. "It's not his TARDIS, really. It's Eleven's and he's not here so...it's kind of everyone's now." Her face darkened a bit. "And he doesn't get a say in whether or not my friends come over." She sounded like a rebellious teenager and she knew it but she was still somewhat irritated with Mr. Kind of a Clone.

The little shoes on her feet were cute. Really cute. And they actually weren't terribly uncomfortable. "Somehow I think running for your life from an alien species is a bit different than chasing down a bad guy." Her voice was teasing, though, as she pulled off the little boots and reached for a pair of wedges. Those she liked, those were easy to wear. For heels.

"It isn't really a date," Rose replied with a roll of her eyes. "It's Jack. I love him, but like the older brother I can legally flirt with." Oh, she'd wanted him at one point. Desperately. But even then they'd known it was always about her and the Doctor. Jack was welcome to flirt with them both, but that's where it ended. And the thought just broke her heart a little all over again. "He's fairly new around still and we hadn't really gotten a lot of one on one time. Not much more to it than that."
