Rose Tyler Will Defend the Earth ([info]plusone) wrote in [info]wariscoming,
Juliet was so much better at putting outfits together than Rose was. She'd grown up in London and yet still was perfectly comfortable in denims, a t-shirt, and trainers. She could do amazing things in a secondhand store, though, picking out different pieces to make super hot club clothes. And that time in the TARDIS... Well, that closet was like a giant dress-up box. All the fun outfits in existence were there for the taking. But actually looking cute and fashionable on a day to day basis? That could be harder than planned.

She glanced at the boots in Juliet's hand and her eyes lit up a little. "Those actually look comfortable," she said excitedly, then blushed. "Look, when you run around with the Doctor for years, you learn to appreciate the joy of flats." And they were slouchy and fun and cute. "Denims?" she asked, eyeing the shoes in Jules' arms.

She sat on the bench across from her friend, hating this part. This was why she didn't like shoes. All the trying on, trying to pick the best ones. Oh, she loved how they looked on other people, on display, and even in the box. But trying them on was just painful! "You know I'm always up for a Get Out of Lawrence Free Card. You know, unless we're under attack by the freak of the week or whatever." Hell, she felt guilty just being there then with Death hanging around. But now that she was pretty sure the Horseman was somehow on their side, she wasn't too worried.
