WHO: Tony & Felicia
WHAT: Getting away from Lawrence.
WHEN: Backdated a bit!
WHERE: Starting in Tony's private jet and onward to fun places.
RATING: TBD.
Typically, it was in Lawrence - home of all things bizarre and headache inducing - where a soap opera decided to evolve into reality. When Tony had found out that Peter Parker was actually Peter Parker's evil clone (or formerly evil clone?), he knew that Felicia was going to fall into a very bad and painful place. Even though a part of Tony was secretly glad that it wasn't the actual Peter that they were dealing with (he was reluctant to admit it, but the idea of Felicia's ex running around Lawrence made him moody), the thought of Felicia getting burned because of all of this wasn't one that sat well with him.
He hadn't been terribly surprised when Felicia agreed to take off with him. Skipping town and getting the hell away from the problem was infinitely better than staying behind and dealing with it. Tony knew that. He was the King of Avoidance. He avoided business meetings, he avoided work that he didn't want to do, he avoided people that he didn't want to see, events that he didn't want to go to, and essentially everything and anything that he just flat out had no interest in being involved in. If there was a problem in Lawrence that he didn't want to be anywhere near, he took two steps back and turned in the opposite direction as quickly as he could. Unless the city was caught up in a deadly crisis or someone personally needed help on a serious level, Tony really wasn't going to get buried in anything he didn't want to have to dig his way out of. As far he could tell, Felicia didn't either, and so the two of them decided to happily take advantage of the private jet that Tony had to his name.
The jet had taken off a while ago. Tony had settled up on one of the leather couches in the back corner, where he was comfortably sipping at a glass of expensive wine. Initially, Tony had debated on taking them out to New York, but the idea of Felicia getting even more caught up on this not-Peter business by showing up in the city Spider-Man belonged to didn't seem like such a great idea. L.A. was his second choice. Big city, lots of fun places to visit. The perfect distraction. That was what Felicia needed.
"I don't think you and I travel nearly as much as we should," Tony declared, tipping his glass upward. "We should change that."
