Who: Rose Tyler and The Tenth Doctor
What: He wants to have a serious talk, who wouldn't be nervous?
When: Some time Monday afternoon/evening
Where: The TARDIS
Warnings: Um. Excessive sap, I'm sure. Beware of Rose's mouth?
Getting to the TARDIS was easy enough. Frankly, Rose didn't worry much about getting around Lawrence alone. She was pretty much always armed, of course, which is something she knew none of the Doctors would like much, but she did what she had to. And after what had been done to those kids? And Kimberly? No, she wasn't taking any chances. He'd get over it in time. She'd spent too long the last few years defending herself to take any chances now.
Getting to the archived console room? That was a whole other party. When he'd first mentioned it, it sounded easy enough. But it took her three wrong turns and a time out in the kitchen to actually get there. The good news was, she had a steaming thermos of tea with her by the time she reached him. The bad news was, she nearly dropped it when she slipped inside.
It was a little much to take in, really. She'd gotten used to the new console room, with its glass floors and practically steampunk design. She trusted the TARDIS, knew the old girl knew her Doctor and what he'd want. But that didn't mean she didn't miss this one. The flood of memories hit her hard as soon as she saw the familiar glowing light. She was so caught off guard that she almost missed the Time Lord she was so in love with, standing near the railing as he always had. "Sorry, I'm late," she offered, looking apologetic instead of worried. What did he expect, he'd wanted a serious conversation. Those more often than not led to bad things. He was breaking up with her for her safety or he was going to try and leave or...or...something. Needing to talk in person rarely led to anything good.
