WHO: Kitty Pryde and Tina Cohen-Chang
WHEN: February 2 Nightime
WHERE: Tina's apartment.
WHAT: Kitty is being a bad influence. She's going to get Tina drunk because they've both been dumped.
STATUS: Incomplete
RATING: TBA

Kitty wasn't sure what she felt or what she was thinking. Well, maybe it wasn't true. She did know that she didn't want to see Mike for a while. The wound was way too fresh. She didn't want to be anywhere near him. She wanted to cry, maybe, but crying wouldn't get her anywhere, probably. Crying over a guy was probably stupid. She was sure that a lot of people would tell her that, but then again it didn't change the way that she felt. She loved Mike. It wasn't going to go away that easy. Sure, she knew that she wanted to have him in her life in some capacity over nothing at all, but right now she couldn't stand the sight of him. Right now she just wanted to drown her sorrows. Right now she just needed to not care about anything else.

She had let herself get completely torn up over a guy. Not only had she been torn up emotionally, but she had let him affect her powers. She had let all of that get to her to the point that she had been distracted enough to get kidnapped. Kitty was better than that. She knew that she was better than that. People back home would have been disappointed in her. That thought really didn't make her feel better. In fact she felt pretty shitty. It was hard to be herself at the moment when she felt so down. She'd been dumped and not because the guy didn't love her. Because he loved her and someone else. How bizarre was that? Was it really possible to love more than one person? Kitty had no freaking clue. She had never had the issue before.

Kitty had decided to drink. Sure, it wasn't the best way of dealing with a problem, but she deserved a damn break. Jealousy, sins, acting like an idiot, getting kidnapped, and getting dumped tended to compound on you. The small woman just missed home so much. She was tired of the demons and the angels and the freaky shit that was going on. That didn't mean that it was going to change anything, though. So, she was going to drink. It had been all to easy to go and get a few bottles of whatever she could find. Even though she was upset now she was getting her clamp back down on things, her phasing for example. She paid for it, so there shouldn't be an issue.

After she'd gotten one bottle open she made a mistake, though. She looked at the comm boards and saw Tina's post. It was pretty obvious that the two women were feeling a lot of the same things. Kitty wished that her friends were here, the ones she had back home. It was because she had that thought after responding to Tina that she gathered her bottles and marched out of her apartment. Kitty didn't even hesitate. She phased through the floor just outside her door until she reached the floor under her's where she solidified. She paused a moment wondering if this was stupid before she knocked, holding several bottles in her arm. The girl was talented.

Tina didn't know why she had posted. It had been rash and stupid and she had just... needed to get it out so she didn't bottle it up inside so that it ate her alive. That had been what had attracted Sloth to her. Made her so depressed that she had been convinced that killing herself was the answer. And now she had scars on her wrists to prove the fact that she had lost her mind and tried to kill herself. As if she needed the physical reminder.

But it hurt. The one person who made her feel special... who loved her and she loved... He broke up with her. And it was because of him loving two people and wanting to be fair. Oh, she knew her suicide attempt had probably sealed the deal for her, even if it hadn't been her who had done it. But it didn't matter. Mike had broken up with her and there was nothing she could do to change that fact. Oh. She had been brave and said she'd still be his friend. And she would. They had been friends before this had happened, and like hell would she lose that as well. It just hurt. Like a bitch.

After her post, Tina had gone to shower and wash her face of the tears that had been falling ever since Mike had left her apartment. She hadn't let him see her cry, but she was crying now. It just mixed with the spray of the shower. Or it had been until she had gotten out and dried off, changing into a long sleeved top and jeans.

Hearing the knock at the door though, Tina could help but think maybe Mike had changed his mind. But she knew that was foolish. So even though she really hadn't wanted to see anyone, the petite Asian went and opened the door. To see Kitty Pryde standing there with alcohol.

"K... Kitty?" Well that was unexpected. Startled, Tina stood there for a moment before her mind kicked back into gear and she stepped aside, "Come in..."

Crying wasn't helping. Sure, Kitty had done some of it already, but she didn't want to be that girl. She didn't want to be the girl sitting and crying because the guy she loved broke up with her. Or at least for the moment she didn't want to be that girl. Maybe she hadn't thought this whole....bringing alcohol to Tina's room thing, though. Sure they were both feeling a lot at the moment, but did that mean that they should be talking? Did it really matter?

Standing there awkwardly, Kitty looked up when the door opened. She didn't try to smile but instead noticed the other girl. They were both short. While Tina was in jeans and a long sleeved shirt, Kitty was in yoga pants and a t-shirt at the moment. What did he see in the both of them that allowed him to love them both at the same time? Nodding a bit Kitty swallowed. "Hi, Tina." That was lame, but it was better than saying nothing. Saying nothing would probably show how hard this was. Kitty didn't want or need that right now. She just kind of wanted to forget about things and figured Tina would too.

"Thanks." Kitty stepped inside and looked around before turning back to look at the Asian girl. "I thought...." Kitty stopped and looked at Tina again. "I thought maybe since we might be feeling some of the same stuff maybe we could drown it out together?" Wow that sounded lame. "I mean, crying will only get us so far, you know.....and it just seemed like you could use it too from that post on the comms." Kitty felt like she wasn't making sense, but she was still here, she hadn't run away as of yet.

No, crying wasn't helping matters, but it was still better than bottling everything in. At least, that was Tina's theory. That and she was sensitive and emotional and Mike had been her everything and now he was gone. Well, not gone-gone, but gone in the sense that he didn't want to be with her anymore. Who knew if that would change, but she knew she shouldn't hold her breath. It wasn't healthy to do. But that wasn't the issue at hand, now was it?

Closing the door behind Kitty, Tina blinked at the explanation. She wanted to get drunk with her? Well... again with the unexpected. It hadn't been Tina's intention to get drunk that night. No, she had been planning on curling up and hugging her pillow. But this was a good alternative as well.

"Oh..." Shifting her weight, Tina brushed her hair out of her face and bit her lower lip in thought then nodded. "Sure. What can it hurt? Because yeah, crying only gets you so far... and yeah." Now she wasn't making sense, but this entire night was just... it was really strange. Was it even night? Technically it was morning after all.

One thing that Kitty could say....having Mike break up with her wasn't as painful as him having died on her. As long as he didn't go and do that on her again she'd be okay. Kitty'd probably always care about Mike no matter what, but for the moment it was kind of difficult anyway. Kitty was going to move on, she had to. It wasn't healthy to focus on Mike and to want him back and worry about that. She had to move on, though it was going to be slow. Kitty was going to move on, though.

Kitty took the moment, now that she was in Tina's apartment to move a bit further in, sitting down some of the bottles that she had in her arms, keeping one with her. Sure this was a little strange. She and Tina weren't friends. They weren't even really acquaintances. They had been dating the same guy and Kitty knew that they both loved him. Kitty really did know how Tina felt in this situation. She wasn't just saying it to make Tina feel better. Hell, if Kitty weren't as nice a person she probably wouldn't have cared what Tina was feeling in the first place.

Kitty managed a small nod at Tina's words before holding out the bottle that was in her hand to Tina. "I know we didn't hit it off well, but...I think a lot of that had to do with not being sure what to say or do around one another." Kitty said tentatively. "I never took the chance to get to know you, but he always said a lot of good things about you." Kitty commented as she looked around a moment. This was a little awkward, but they had some things in common. Not only that, but they didn't have to dislike one another or avoid one another.

"No time like the present to start, right?" Kitty said with a small nod.

Tina didn't know how she'd respond if Mike died on her. It would crush her, so thankfully she had never had to deal with that. But moving on? That was going to be something that was hard to do. The two had been destined to marry back home. At least in Mike's mother's mind. But still... Tina had contemplated the idea and she had liked it. Had dreamed about it. And now? Well, who knew what would happen now. But Tina wasn't about to hang on to false hope. It wasn't fair to Mike and could ruin their friendship. Not to mention it wasn't fair to her.

Taking the bottle, Tina started to move to the kitchen but stopped as Kitty started to talk. It wouldn't be polite to walk away while Kitty was talking, and it was something that needed to be said, apparently. Kitty seemed to have a good idea on why they hadn't really spoken. The whole.. you're dating my boyfriend.. thing tended to make such situations awkward.

"He never really spoke of you to me, but then again, he was trying to find himself, then the Sins... so I guess it makes sense... But yes. No time like the present." Smiling weakly, Tina placed the bottle down on the table and went to the kitchen, getting two glasses and then she returned to the living room and then poured them both a glass and raised it up.

"To new beginnings. Or something." It was a weak attempt to lighten the mood, but it was an attempt all the same.

Kitty could not stand the thought of Mike dying on her again. She needed him to be alive even if they weren't together. She would never wish death on anyone that was for sure. The thought of losing him again completely....well, it was not going to happen period. She and Tina weren't going to have to go through that. Though Tina had never gone through it at all. Kitty was kind of glad that she hadn't gotten to go through that. She shouldn't ever have to go through it.

Kitty didn't know if Tina was used to drinking or anything, but this was a solution for the moment...sort of. Drinking was better than crying. Kitty was kind of looking forward to drinking. The company she would get used to. She was sure that the two of them would get over the awkwardness. They weren't dating the same guy anymore, which should help things.

"Definitely everything that was happening, I bet. He had time to bring you up and everything." Kitty said honestly, standing there a bit awkwardly. The booze would probably help the tension. When Tina returned, Kitty gave a light smile and after the glasses were poured Kitty took her's.

"To new beginnings definitely." Kitty said before bringing her glass down and taking a drink herself. After swallowing the alcohol, the small mutant moved to sit down. "Other than dancing and glee, do you have any other hobbies?" Kitty asked curiously. She didn't know Tina yet, it seemed like a good idea to get to know her.

Tina didn't drink much, but this was a situation where it was definitely necessary. After all, Tina wasn't used to this whole.. heart shattering sensation. She'd been upset when Artie had been mad at her for faking the stutter and had thought they were done. She had been upset when he never contacted her. But it didn't compare to what she was feeling now. And that someone else was feeling the same pain? Yes, drinking was definitely a situation where it was necessary.

Sipping her own drink, Tina sat down and stared into the glass before she was asked the question.

"Performing is part of my life, so it's mostly singing and dancing, though I want to pick up the electric violin as well... Though in non-performing, I will alter clothing to make it my own. Though it can also fall into the performing arena if I ever got into costuming."

Sipping her drink again, Tina suppressed the wince of the burn of alcohol going down her throat before looking to Kitty.

"What about you? What sort of hobbies do you have?" Might as well get to know Kitty. She was there and it was better than brooding. And who knew, maybe they could be friends. Not that Tina was looking for that at the moment. She was just looking for a distraction and this seemed to be working.

Drinking wasn't the solution to every problem, but that didn't mean that it couldn't be used to help for a little while either. Kitty felt that she was completely justified in drinking at the moment. She'd never drank with Tina before, she didn't even know the other girl's opinion on drinking, but honestly they were both going through a break up and they were both in the same situation as far as Kitty was concerned. It sucked that the both of them were feeling this because of the same guy. Kitty could hardly believe that Mike hadn't chosen to spare one person's feelings. He'd, instead, broken both of their hearts. Kitty had honestly thought that he would pick Tina. Maybe that gave Kitty a little bit of an edge on Tina. She had thought it was coming.

Kitty took a nice gulp of her drink and looked over at Tina curiously.

"Guess it's good that you know what you want and what you like for sure. The electric violin would be cool, though. I'm not a real musical person other than dance. I can't alter clothes either." Kitty snorted a little bit trying to imagine herself with a needle and thread or at a sewing machine. That was definitely not something that she could do. There were plenty of other things that she was good at though. Kitty could kind of understand how Tina and Mike had gotten along and fit so well, though. She was good at much different things that Kitty. Kitty couldn't even cook.

Taking another sip, Kitty blinked at the question. "Oh, well....I run, I work on computers, dance, krav maga, and I read..." The small girl shrugged a little bit, realizing how different the two of them were even though they had similarities. "Ever heard of krav maga?"

Nodding, Tina thought back to when Bryan Ryan had shown up. How he had told them that all of their dreams would never come true, how devastated she had been. She had always wanted to be a performer so to hear that it would never happen had crushed her. Just like when Principle Figgins had decided she couldn't wear her gothic clothing because he was convinced that vampires were real. That had also hurt, even though it had led to the Lady GaGa assignment, which had been fun.

"It is I guess. Some people," re:Rachel Berry, "take it too far, but I've always known. It's competitive, sure and hard to get into, but I feel the most alive when performing. As for the electric violin, it's just something that interests me."

And then Kitty was talking about her own interests. They really were different, but they both loved to dance and they both loved Mike Chang. It was strange how they had both gotten his attention, but of course, Tina was still shocked that Mike loved her, so she really couldn't judge. She had always just assume he'd go with a cheerleader, but she was wrong.

Sipping her drink, Tina blinked and canted her head to the side at the question.

"No, I haven't. What is it?"

Kitty had never been all that gung ho about performing. Sure, she loved to dance, but it wasn't about putting a show on for other people. Honestly, her love for dance was because dancing made her feel good, not that she needed to showcase that to people. She'd never wanted to be a superhero either, but that had happened somehow. Kitty liked how her life had ended up. She didn't even mind being transported to some strange alternate universe because she had found someone that she loved. Even if he had broken things off, it was still worth it.

Kitty tilted her head and found herself grinning a little at Tina. "Well, I think that can happen no matter what area you're talking about. There's always a person out there that has to take it further than it has to go to compete or whatever." Kitty shrugged a little bit and then nodded. "I never liked dancing for the performative aspect, I like it because it's moving and how I feel when I move. That's just me, though." Kitty told the other girl honestly.

The two of them were so different. Tina had much more conventional interests, her's were much more girly than Kitty's. Not that Kitty wasn't definitely girly because someone would have to be nuts if they said she wasn't. It was just strange how different they were, but they had both fallen in love and been loved by the same guy.

Sitting up, Kitty downed a bit more of her alcohol.

"Oh, it's a kind of hand-to-hand combat that is mostly grappling, with other things thrown in. It's by far my favorite hand-to-hand technique." Kitty told the other girl honestly. "Have you thought about any of the self defense classes here, for while you're stuck here? Or even learning to shoot a gun?" Kitty felt it was a good thing to be prepared....

Nodding at the comment about liking how it felt to move, Tina sipped her drink before speaking.

"I like giving people an escape, which is why I love to perform. I remember watching performances and being transported to another place where my problems didn't matter and I want to give that back if that makes sense." It wasn't something she really talked about, her love of performance. She had told Mike, of course, but she didn't really open up about why she loved to perform. She just did and anyone who said she couldn't would probably make her cry. Well, depending on how they did it.

And then Kitty was explaining krav maga and Tina listened intently. She wasn't a confrontational sort so the idea of having to fight wasn't something Tina was looking forward to. But it was going to be necessary and she knew it. So she just had to get over it. Sipping her drink, the Asian gave a small nod.

"I've taken some of the classes, but I haven't learned to shoot a gun." That was something Tina didn't know if she'd ever be prepared for. Though it was probably a good thing she hadn't learned to shoot a gun during her Sins phase otherwise she might actually have died and not just lost a lot of blood and scared Mike and been put on suicide watch.

Kitty smiled just lightly at Tina and gave a nod. Part of her could understand where Tina was coming from. Kitty wasn't the same in that respect, but....she understood it and that was the important bit.

"That's always a nice feeling. I can definitely understand that." Kitty told the other girl honestly. It was somewhat strange that they were getting along at the moment. They were different, they had a guy in common, there were so many things that had stacked against them both. They both had a reason to be upset considering the fact that Mike dumped them both. She couldn't help but feel as if Tina didn't get a fair chance. Kitty wanted to give her that chance, actually.

They had the time to get to know one another now. Mike wasn't between them making things worse, not that he had done it on purpose or anything. Taking a sip of her own drink, Kitty looked at the Asian girl. "I learned how to shoot, I'm much better at the hand to hand. I knew a lot of it back home before I even got here." Kitty stated, honestly.

Fighting was new for a lot of people. Kitty just wasn't one of them. "Do you plan on learning?" She asked curiously.
