Tina didn't know how she'd respond if Mike died on her. It would crush her, so thankfully she had never had to deal with that. But moving on? That was going to be something that was hard to do. The two had been destined to marry back home. At least in Mike's mother's mind. But still... Tina had contemplated the idea and she had liked it. Had dreamed about it. And now? Well, who knew what would happen now. But Tina wasn't about to hang on to false hope. It wasn't fair to Mike and could ruin their friendship. Not to mention it wasn't fair to her.
Taking the bottle, Tina started to move to the kitchen but stopped as Kitty started to talk. It wouldn't be polite to walk away while Kitty was talking, and it was something that needed to be said, apparently. Kitty seemed to have a good idea on why they hadn't really spoken. The whole.. you're dating my boyfriend.. thing tended to make such situations awkward.
"He never really spoke of you to me, but then again, he was trying to find himself, then the Sins... so I guess it makes sense... But yes. No time like the present." Smiling weakly, Tina placed the bottle down on the table and went to the kitchen, getting two glasses and then she returned to the living room and then poured them both a glass and raised it up.
"To new beginnings. Or something." It was a weak attempt to lighten the mood, but it was an attempt all the same.
