Who: Jessia Drew and Danny Ketch
What: Too much chaos and stress leads to one thing. Beer.
Where: Jessica's apartment.
When: Evening. November 1st.
Rating: TBD. But they're bound to end up doing something stupid.

If nothing else, Jessica had to admit that having her body switched with the body of that woman actually was a better option than most any other in Lawrence. She would still look the same to everyone else, but she would still know the difference. And she was hoping that it would end soon and she'd have her useless birthmark on her thigh back.

And even though hers was one of the most minor of body swaps, if you can call any body swap minor, she still felt like she needed a drink, but not in the way that she felt she needed to get drunk. So on her way back to her apartment from the complex that the other out of towners had set up, she stopped at a gas station and picked up a twelve-pack of beer, plus a bottle of liquor just in case she ever did feel the need for something stronger. That was more than enough for her, really, and any leftovers could hang out in her fridge until she was in the mood for more. Plus, Danny was going to be stopping by and she wouldn't be bothered by letting him have a couple. After all, he seemed quite responsible enough to have some beer without doing something idiotic that would get him in trouble.

Checking the clock once she stepped into the apartment, Jessica had noticed that she was right. It had only taken her a few minutes to get from the complex to her own building. First thing she did was put the beer in the fridge, then headed back to change into some of her own clothes. She'd return the others to Morgan Le Fay's doorstep at some other point.

Danny already had a pretty good idea about avoiding him just from Jessica's description. Still, a little harmless internet searching couldn't hurt, especially when it was about someone else. After those comics and that movie, he was damn sure never searching for himself again. Yeah, Felicia had been right about the song, but other than that Danny had pretty much hated everything else about himself he'd seen. Searching this Deadpool guy would at least be a way to kill the boredom sometimes, between beating up street thugs and tearing across town looking for a Hellgod that he couldn't even fight.

"Insane, huh?" He chuckled. "Well, if we're throwing insane people at them, might as well get Castle to do it." Danny smirked. "Maybe I'm biased because of the whole 'shot me in the chest' thing, but I think we could all do with a little less of that guy for awhile." He grinned and took another pull from his beer.

"Very," Jessica laughed a bit. "Lets put it this way. He's so unpopular due to his crazy that I'm on the party invite list long before anyone would even consider him." There was never any telling what that guy would do. Jessica thought she'd even heard that he was carrying around his own zombified head from another dimension wherever he went lately. But, then again, she could have just read that on the internet or something, even though she tended to try and avoid anything that was related to the so-called Marvel Universe.

God, she hated the idea of a Marvel Universe, or any sort of universe that was fictional in this world. She hated that people here could simply type her name into Google and find out anything about her that they could possibly want to know, not to mention things that they probably didn't want to know. "And now I drink to being fictional. Or, well, really to being against being fictional," she added with a nod before taking another couple sips of her beer. It really was a good thing that she hadn't gone straight for the liquor.

Danny snorted at her description of Deadpool. "Yeah, that guy sounds like truckloads of fun." He chuckled a little. "Although I'd probably invite you to a party before half the lecture-happy thrill-jockies that run around our universe." Plus, Thor was a viking god. There wasn't enough beer in the world to supply that party. At least not outside of Tony Stark's personal supply chain.

Either he didn't realize the comment could come out flirty, or he didn't care.

At her impromptu toast, Danny winced, grunted in agreement, pulled the beer to his lips, and just tilted his head back. Three long, deep gulps later and the beer went from maybe a little over half full to mostly gone. Danny felt pretty strongly about this one, too. He finally let his head fall forward, deftly moving the beer to keep from spilling a drop, not that it was full enough for that to really be a possibility. "Hi there, I hear you're looking for a choir," he quipped, just a hint of bitterness to it. For a second, he just sat forward, arms on his knees and the beer dangling from one hand, his eyes focused on the bottle. After a moment, he added, "Tell you the truth?" He shrugged one shoulder slightly and glanced at her. "I'd half consider going dark if it meant I could wipe all those comics out of existence."

Okay, not really, but the sentiment was there. All that information, things he could have lived his entire life never knowing, and now he knew them. Danny could safely say he understood why prophets and others who saw the future almost inevitably went crazy. He really had no idea how he was still sane. Then again, the fact that he wasn't running screaming away from all this destiny, family curse, flaming skull crap probably didn't leave much chance of sanity.

Jessica couldn't help chuckling at his comment. "Well, that's because you don't see a genocidal maniac when you look at me," she said simply, shrugging. Obviously she didn't actually take it as flirting, but she still smiled none the less. The truth was, Jessica just didn't really think about dating all that much, which was a bit odd for someone with the mental (and physical) age of a woman in their early-to-mid twenties. Plus, she just flat out didn't expect people to flirt with her in the first place. She was much too used to people looking at her with what pretty much amounted to disgust.

But at the second bit, she was a bit less jovial. Not that she was jovial in the first place, but she had been just about as close as she ever manages to get. "I might consider it, too," she started before shaking her head. "If I hadn't already jumped back and forth over that line several times before. I've got a feeling that if I jump the line again I'll officially be listed as one of the bad guys for all time. Working with HYDRA sometimes gives you that stigma, after all." And that was enough to get Jessica to finish off that first beer of hers.
