It was really starting to freak her out. Three that day including the Slutty Slayer's Boyfriend and still, still she could feel them crawling all inside her like parasites, she could feel how much she didn't belong here, it was tugging at her, telling her home, home quickly to where its warm and safe and hers. Hers and no one elses.

"Mine" she muttered a few times under her breath, finally pausing in a shop window and glancing at her hair. The image shocked her. No it wouldn't do at all, it was out of place, straggly, got that way sometimes when she had to deal with... With...Oh no, no he wasn't getting out till she was satisfied, till all the crazy had been pushed down, all the displaced God wanted was a way home, a way home where she and Ben could finally get out of each others hair and...Yes!. He was in her hair? THAT was why it was so straggly.

"He's in my...in my hair" she told a random passer by, grabbing her by the arm insistantly. "In my freakin HAIR"

The woman was being exceptionally rude and not listening and Glory thought she might repay her by making her think there were things crawling all over her too. She knew what taking their brains did. It transfered some of the crazy. It made them see things like she did and their fragile human minds couldn't handle it with the little she left them with, so they gibbered, like crazies. Like the witches little girlfriend had gibbered. Glory knew the girl was hiding from her too. It was only fair. It made so much sense that she would. But for now this woman would do. One more to add to the collection.

"Get him out of my hair y'know...only way"

Great. He hadn't just stepped in the middle of a cat fight, he'd stepped into the middle of a cat fight where there was a crazy woman involved. His eyes went wider as her stomp shook the ground. All right. Make that one crazy woman who probably wasn't human. The other woman had run off which meant he was standing on his own. That was what he'd meant to happen because he couldn't let an innocent woman get hurt but still, sucky position to be in.

Adam held up his hands and took a step back. "Hey, you not liking this place is no reason to throw a childish tantrum. It's not like any of us meant to be here," he said, trying to keep his voice calm and reasonable. Maybe that would help something...

Yeah, right.

If I survive? Getting out of this one wasn't going to be easy. That was fine. He'd been in tight spots before. "I didn't step up to anything," he said and made a turning motion with his finger. "So how about you saunter off that way?" He was starting to get an idea of who he was talking to and as much as he'd like to say he was fearless, a big knot o'fear was starting to settle into his stomach.

He was even ruder than the woman. He was gonna make a nice snack for her, maybe better than the woman. It was better when they'd be rude. So much better.

"Yeah but you're moral. It really doesn't matter what you want. And YOU do not get to call me a child little boy. What you can do is play nice and take the place of the woman that doesn't care what happens you. You don't get to say any of this to me. Not to me. I commanded armies. Huge badass armies and I was the best of the Gods. I was worshipped!! I had...temples and alters and now I'm HERE where heaven and hell and demons rule and I don't like it"

He was actually telling her to walk away. Telling her to what...saunter. "You think even if I wanted to I could saunter in these heels. Oh no. No no. I'm not going anywhere, neither are you. Thats how it works. I'm strong, I'm supposed to be worshipped, and you. You and your hero complex. You're gonna figure that out the hard way"

Then quit acting like one. The thought was wisely kept silent as he was already in trouble deep enough as it was. The last thing he needed to be doing was insulting the hell bitch that was sucking sanity dry around the place. God, he did not want to end up like that. No sanity, powerless, no control. He took another step back. Maybe the same steps that could be applied to getting away from rabid animals could apply to angry hell goddesses.

Step one: move very slowly as to not startle. Or in this case, piss off. "And I'm honestly sorry about that," he said, his hands slowly raising. "We're all stuck here with no way back and missing out on what's ours but really? Do you think going on a rampage and demanding people hand over kids is really the best way to go? No, that's not going to get you very far." He took another step back, nervous. If she attacked, there was no doubt he'd be going demon on her ass.

"I don't know. I've never walked in heels before. I'm too much of a klutz anyway. Probably turn an ankle." So it seemed like she really did intend to go for the head shot. Damn, damn, and damn it all to hell. "That's not a great idea. I'll give you indigestion."

"Not kids. Just one. One kid. Who isn't even real" WHY was no one understanding that. Just give her Dawnie and she'd go home and they could keep whatever was left of the world. "Look it won't be so bad, if you're clever, if you're smart you might even surrvive it, and if you do, you get all the world thats left, of course the dimensions will melt into each other and I'll be your God but I'm amazing, and no one else has to go mad. Cause...I'll be home y'know. I'll be back to what I was don't you see"

This place had taken her power just like Buffy's dimension. It had made her a tiny weak thing compared to what she was. No, she didn't like that at all and she wanted to be what she was again. And to do that she had to keep her mind, had to keep her focus, had to keep the creepy crawlies out of her head.

"You're going to hurt. Because thats how it has to be and you have to be a hero. Heroes never win."

Glory moved in for the attack, hands reaching quickly for his skull, needing to feed, needing to feel normal again. Needing to be in control, which meant the guy had to loose himself for that to happen

"Yeah...no." So he hadn't meant the kid in question but she was real enough to be posting on the message boards and real enough that people were protecting her. He knew that if it had been Savannah, he would have laid down his own life to make sure this woman didn't get her hands on her. "You know, that's debatable. If you asked a friend of mine, he'd probably tell you that you wouldn't get anything out of me."

She really wasn't convincing him. He did not want her for a god or have to get used to another dimension that was probably a lot worse than this one. Half-demon or not, he didn't want to make nice with the real thing. They probably had a lousy outlook on his kind anyway. "Wrong."

Her sudden movement took him off guard. Just as he felt her hands make contact with his head, he threw his hands up, hands hot enough to cause a painful burn, making the last ditch effort to get away.

"Nuh uh. Its not even a bit wrong. She's a fake person...like, like this...energy that got stuffed and mixed and twisted into a real girl. She's girl-pinnochio. And Buffy'll get over it. She's pretty badass even if she is the bitch that ruined everything last time"

She was about to push into his mind, take everything she needed when he burned her. Burned. Her. Ugh. She jumped back furiously and swung in for a pulled punch, not enough to kill, just to hurt. How dare he burn her. How could he? He had actually caused a burn. Caused hurt. No one got to HURT her.

"Oh that was a mistake. That was a big big mistake"

She pushed in again, ready to withstand the burning if he tried that trick again, she bet she lasted longer than he did. Better willpower, obviously. Brat, trying to go up against a god. Brat.

He didn't know Buffy all that well but right now, he was willing to start sporting a "Team Buffy" t-shirt. "You just called her fake and real in the same sentence," Adam pointed out. "So maybe she didn't start out life as a real girl but she is now. Got a life and a family and everything. So I really doubt anyone is going to turn her over to you." At least anyone with a speck of moral decency.

Later, he was going to berate himself for not running. Later when he was still sane. When he wasn't about to be attacked by a hell goddess...ow. With a nasty punch to her. Adam's head snapped sideways. "Screw you," he muttered. He rolled back just in time to see her coming again. Adam threw up his arm in a last ditch effort to block her, but if she hit like that, he was in trouble.

Huh...same sentence...

Oh he was getting all 'technical' and whatever now. That wasn't helping his case. Not at all. And he'd been rude again. "I don't care about her life, or her family. I care about the energy inside her blood thats gonna get me home. I care that some stupid STUPID monks made her human so people now want to protect the little brat. And I killed the monks, killed em all dead. But she's still all human shaped. It was just rude of them. Don't you think?"

He didn't agree. He didn't agree cause he was all moralistic about the fake-girl. And burning her. She really didn't like that one bit. He'd have to be taught a lesson. Pushing through the burning pain she pushed her hands to his skull again, only this time she dug in. Deep, deep enough so he'd shut up and let her take his mind.

And he wouldn't burn his Goddess again. Oh no. When the time came. He would learn. She'd make sure and teach him personally.

It was like arguing with a wall. She wasn't going to budge and he wasn't going to budge. "That makes you the rude one. You're the one going on and on about some girl who used to be a ball of energy and is not a real person. Which is actually more like obsession and you should really look into doing something about that."

He should have run. It would have been the smart idea but he'd had to fight. Not crawl away. He wasn't just mortal. For mere seconds, he thought he could fight her and win. The anger took over, tapping into his demonic heritage. He could win this. He would win th-

The feeling was unlike anything he'd ever felt before. A complete violation of his mind as he felt her fingers dig in, searching. His thoughts went haywire, uncontrolled. Nothing made sense anymore as he shouted out, grasping for whatever it was she was taking. But it was going, going, going...

Gone.

He slumped to the pavement.
