Everyone faces low points in their life when things are hard. Times when nothing is going right and there's just too much to do. Or times when it just seems like life should have more to it. When you're feeling overwhelmed, or longing for something new, or just unappreciated or misunderstood.

And you make a wish.

And the wish wings out, a tiny weakness in the walls between worlds. Under normal circumstances, it wouldn't mean anything, but there's magic out there now, poking through the cracks and crevices of the multiverse, looking for an opening. It finds you and pulls you into the world of Enchantia, which is slumbering under a curse that only people from other worlds can break.

If you ever want to see your home again, you'll have to go on a quest through this fantasy world. You'll be faced with wonders and perils, and challenge that will test your mettle. But you'll also have the help of others in the same situation. If you work together, you just might overcome the obstacles you face and reach the end of your journey -- and the final test.

In the year 2013, modern civilization came to a tumultuous end starting with the spread of a pandemic illness causing the dead to reanimate. Chaos spread worldwide as all attempts to stop the expansion of the virus failed. Fires began with no one to stop them, cities lost power, and the use of nuclear devices only crippled the world further. Millions of lives were lost and not one country was spared in this catastrophic global event.

Five years later... Reconstruction is the main focus world-wide. In North America, protective domes have been created to keep out zombies, radiation, and any other dangers that might lurk in the post-apocalyptic world. Those surviving have a chance to start again. But what happens when their safe haven traps them in? One dome, Delphi, goes into lockdown, and the things that happen within are unexplainable.

Everyone starts as human, but it won't stay that way!
ANYTHING can happen in the dome!

[info]higherlearning is set in the fictional town Salem Center in Westchester County, New York at the Jean Grey School For Higher Learning in the year 2040. There has been no peace, things just haven't been right since The Phoenix Force was destroyed and the Mutant Boom of 2013 'infected' the human race again.
