As the monopoly held by Old Money crumbles with the changing economy, new financial powerhouses are rising to try and take their place within the Fortune 500, and are willing to go to any lengths to prove themselves. The clashing of the markets means a constant shifting in power, finance and business alliances, and when money is the flow on which life is balanced, sometimes it becomes a dangerous struggle.

Welcome to Seattle, Wa., one of the most socially, and supernaturally progressive cities in the country. Front runner in some of the most controversial movements of the Supernatural Community, from Synth Blood in every bar to an All Supernatural Police Force, there's no better place for those seeking the freedom to be themselves. But it's not all sunshine and ponies, don't let that fool you. Seattle's got a dark side, and a bit of a weird side, too. But whatever side you're on, whatever you're looking for, you're sure to find something here... Or it might find you.

About us:

  • Urban fantasy/supernatural creature site, set in modern day Seattle.

  • A wide variety of playable races, from witches and necromancers to vampires and lycans, and several completely unique races like the Viri, (who are much more than -just- winged humans), the Idimmu, (refugees from other dimensions with colorful skin, wings, horns, and more) Shapeshifters, who come in several varieties; animals, reptiles, plants, and even a class who can shift their gender. And we just added Selkies, so check those out too!

  • A friendly and welcoming site, active but laid back.

  • Lots of great things for members, from a 'Searching For' section to a Player Adoptions section, writing challenges, IC diaries, and more.

  • Our plot is basically member driven and open, but we also have monthly, site wide storylines that anyone can get in on but are completely optional, featuring silly, absurd, or down right scary settings, like the characters being sucked into a movie, a hell dimension, swapping genders/being teenagers/turning into animals/etc on April Fools, getting a flower for Valentines Day that alters their personalities, etc. And we're always coming up with more ideas!

  • No word count; we have a variety of players who post anywhere from 120-2500 words on average.

  • Short Apps! Just basic info like height, age and weight, with a focus on the history.

  • We like to let people have choices, whether it's using a celeb/musician/stock model or none at all for their playby, or writing in 1st or 3rd person.

  • We also have the Sub Accounts mod, so we let players choose whether to use an accounts-per-player style or an accounts-per-character style linked to a main OOC account.

  • We're self hosted, but don't let that intimidate you; it's a very user friendly board software, and because it's self hosted, you won't have to worry about downtime or shutdowns.

[info]cityoangels is a played by city community, based in the City of Angels – known to most as Los Angeles, California. Not only will you get a city community, but we revolve around a major serial killer plot - a little something like what the new television show, The Following, is doing. While, [info]cityoangels doesn't revolve around Joe Carroll, and his crazy mass following of Edgar Allan Poe loving serial killers. It does revolve around a copy cat killer of the late, Ted Bundy. While your character will not have to participate in anything related to murders other than ocassional glimpses in our local news station, [info]nbcla. If you're interested in being apart of the murders than by all means you can be.

As mods, we don’t have the average activity requirements. We're a laidback group just wanting to write something new and interesting inside of a non-supernatural, realistic city community. Would anyone be interested in playing a storyline set in the Roaring Twenties centered around a mob boss and his infatuation with a local flapper? There'd be plenty of booze, boys, and jazz. What if the Mayans weren’t entirely wrong?
What if the way the world worked as we knew it ended?
And, what if we were powerless to stop it?

On the 21st December 2012, a massive electromagnetic pulse tore through the worlds electrical systems, brought on by a huge solar flare.
The disruption was instant. Power and communication systems shut down. Planes plunged from the sky, trains derailed and hospital equipment failed, resulting in the deaths of many. Others left stranded and trapped without any way to call for help. Along with many people injured by power surges and gas explosions. The banks crashed and people soon turned to looting and rioting.

The world was plunged into darkness and chaos, and uprisings and lawlessness rock this now dark new world.

Three years pass, the world has torn itself apart, with billions dying and systems of government and law and order broken, a part of memory. But the world lurches on, and in one part of North America, a new community is rising...and fighting.

This community of once floating Nomads now live without electricity. They are getting by in ways that had become close to obsolete in the pre blackout world, farming, bartering, trading and living in manageable tribal groups, plagued by hunger, bandits, religious zealots and illnesses, as well as the more mundane issues of finding your place, falling in love and generally getting by.

‘Nomads’ is an original character game set in a dystopian world where characters live within Tribes in Cascade Locks, Oregon.

As it has only been three years since the Pulse, everything is still pretty unstable and fractured - the world as well as the people. The tribes of Cascade Locks have an understanding with each other but hackles can easily rise as they work to rebuild and establish their own territories.

There is no warning, no way to know that when you lay your head down to sleep you would wake to find yourself in another place entirely.


The Nowhere is a panfandom, original friendly game which takes place in a world which is essentially a blank slate in the beginning. It is a world which will grow and develop as more characters are introduced. While the starting plot is the arrival of people from their original universes this is not the only plot which will take place in The Nowhere, in fact the goings on which surround the displaced will continually change as more characters are introduced and their worlds bleed into this one. Every month or two the displaced will find themselves in a new universe and facing different trials and challenges. Who is doing all of this? We're sure you will find out fairly soon but for now they have some trails to face - gender swaps, age changes, powers - sometimes they will be down right cruel and twisted, pushing people to their limits and beyond.

The only thing left to do is step out the door and see what is waiting for you...
