On a sandy beach stands a house that looks slightly out of place. Over the years, this house has changed, leading to jokes that it’s alive. After all, no one lives there. No handymen are ever seen around it. But the house never seems to look faded or old or in poor repair.

What if it isn’t a joke?

No one understands how, no one can explain it, but the house is quite alive. It can change itself at will, and within this house are doors to other worlds and other houses that exist there, though those houses are not alive.

With sentience, the house has discovered boredom, and loneliness. It has also discovered how to use its power to make not just the doors to its counterparts gateways, but every door in these worlds. Unconstrained by the trivialities of time, any door in any era can lead to this house … so look before you cross a threshold …

Something bad happened, didn’t it? Maybe you wanted it to, or maybe it cracked your world in two and left you standing there, watching what was left bleed out on the ground. Maybe you just got caught. That’s that first step to the Facility, your bad damned luck that got you put away.

How’d you like being a prisoner? Being forgotten? Don’t tell me you were one of the ‘famous’ ones. Maybe got a book or two about you and what you did? The internet loves you? That’s cute. You’re still in a pen, waiting for the clock to roll around and shave off the years the rest of the world says you owe.

So if they’d bothered to ask you to join, instead of blindfolding you and dragging you here, would you have said yes? Sure looks better than where you were, how many co-ed prisons do you hear about? Good food, private rooms, no guards, and every now and then the people watching you send word. Yeah, they’re watching you. Testing too.

Stay sharp, you’re not alone in here. Maybe you’ve heard of some of the others in that prison-famous way, maybe they’re just normal people who got lost. Maybe you shouldn’t ever give them your back. No one seems to know why you're all here yet, but someone might. And that's why you should be ready.

Some would say the curse being broken was a miracle and some would say it’s a curse, but what if there was no change at all or what if it changed your world completely. What if your friends couldn’t remember you or only remember the part of you that existed 28 years ago? This is what has happened in Storybrooke, when the purple smoke came flooding into town it instantly put everyone to sleep (some say the smoke even engulfed Fairytale Land). When everyone woke up they were in Storybrooke. Some remembered the town as well as their past lives and some just remembered their life in the Fairytale Land as if their life in Storybrooke never happened. Lastly, some found themselves in Storybrooke with no recollection of how they got there in the first place.
