On an over-populated street in downtown Los Angeles, an illuminated hot pink neon sign shines the words Famous Monsters. While the building itself is historic and common looking to the other surrounding establishments - neighboring a tattoo parlor and a modern art exhibit - this high-end fetishist strip club fits in well with the visions being offered. Why stop here and not at one of the other hot spots on the busy street? Why Famous Monsters before any other skin club? One step through the door and you'd have your answer.

This is a world where music and subculture, tattoos and piercings, fierce guys and girls with no modesty and the best of the absolute worst reigns supreme. Famous Monsters caters to the voyeurs who prefer thethe unorthodox to the mainstream. Those who would rather watch their fantasies played out to the themes of blaring punk, electronica, industrial and dance rather than that outplayed radio mess that pollutes the airways. Every gender is able to participate in this world of true hedonism; with a co-ed staff, multi-stories of indulgence, dance floors, two fully stocked bars, nightly stage shows and private rooms to fulfill your most debauched fantasy - your senses will surely be overwhelmed, and your appetite satisfied.

Eligere is a Magical Boarding School game set on the coast of Oregon at a school for the Pureblooded Elite. In an effort to ensure the old lines and customs continue, arranged marriages are encouraged, something which the school fully supports with special classes for those involved in arranged marriages as well as special accommodations for the engaged upperclassmen at the school.

Proper lineage must be proven to gain admission to Eligere Institute, but we are accepting characters of all political affiliations - both those who support the purist ideals of the school and those who do not. We're looking for an even mix and lots of diversity within the Pureblooded magical population. Students also are not required to be a part of the Arranged Marriage Programme and we'd like a good mix of both those involved and those not involved. Anything goes, so long as your character is either Pure or Faking It.

THE PREMISE
Have you ever dreamed you were someone else and it was so vivid that, for a moment, you were convinced you were that person. It couldn't be, of course. That person isn't even real and dreams are just dreams, right?

Or, maybe not.

A series of people, all around the world, are experiencing that very thing and, as it turns out, there's much more to it than it being just a dream. Those people are all reincarnations of fictional characters - imaginary people from literature, mythology, nursery rhymes, fairy tales, etc. They don't have conscious memories of their past lives, but, boy, do they dream about them. Some of them even have special abilities related to their former selves.

The dreams can be good or bad, but the one thing they all are is vivid. Those affected might feel like they're going crazy at first, at least until they begin to discover that there are more people like them, that these aren't just random, recurring dreams.

 The receiving room lights, a hot white halogen array, greet you when you wake up. The room is small, with only some dated medical monitoring equipment, a metal gurney, a cylindrical security camera, and a locker beside the door. All of it was a sterile white once upon a time, but has been aged with mildew and mold.

You are covered in a hospital gown and nothing else. That's alright, your clothing is waiting for you in the locker with a yellowed envelope on top of it.

Inside is a letter printed on old perforated printer paper with the side tabs still attached.

Welcome to The Lethe Project.

As a volunteer for our program, you have been transported to our subterranean laboratory facility for testing and monitoring. Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped to accommodate you during your stay with bunk space, a mess hall, gymnasium, and indoor garden. The non-invasive security system will monitor your activity and record your progress.

Please enjoy your stay and thank you for your donation to science.

Once you exit the room with your belongings, the door locks. There will be no way to return to that room, and there is no sign of a way out.

X-Project is an X-Men movieverse RPG on Livejournal. Set after X2, the game has been running since May 5, 2003 and uses a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. Everyone knows the government keeps secrets. What's really in Area 51? Who really shot JFK? Where is Hoffa really buried? In 2006, another secret, another source of conspiracy theories, was born.

Six scientists combined their ideas and expertise to create clones of real people. These clones were then implanted with memories and personalities, even abilities, of people from other dimensions, fictional characters to us, and then released for observation into an elaborate underground city.

The clones don't know that they're clones; their memories are altered to know only the things their scientist creators want them to know. Scientists and students from universities all over the world are welcomed to the secret facility on a strict recruitment basis to study the daily lives of these clones as family members, friends and associates.

Will you be a clone, forced to choose between ignorance and knowledge, or will you be a scientist, trying to study the clones while maintaining the secret of the city?

"April is the cruellest month, breeding Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing memory and desire."


The year is 2002. The fourth anniversary of the Second Wizarding War is fast approaching. The past three years have been filled with rebuilding and recovering from both the emotional and physical damage wrought by the war. The acting Minister, Kingsley Shacklebolt, has just come out on top in the most recent elections, the first ones held since the end of the war. He'll be staying in office another four years.

The public has been demanding that something be done to prevent events like the rise of Voldemort and the Second Wizarding War from ever happen again. Acting impetuously, the Minister of Magic proposes the first of what will come to be known as the Bones Laws. A seemingly innocent blood census is just the first step in an increasingly oppressive campaign against Purebloods...
