| Welcome to Avalonis, where superheroes and villains walk the streets and nothing is quite what it seems. The city of Avalonis was once dubbed the superpowered capital of the world and even today the city is filled with people who can do the most extraordinary things. Some can move things with their mind, others can read them and then there are some who have no powers at all but insist on fighting for justice nonetheless. As when you have a city filled with heroes, villains will follow and now the city is host to some of the most spectacular and epic show downs the world has ever seen. Beneath the shiny exterior of the city and the side that the tourists come to see in the hope of catching a glimpse of the city's famous heroes and villains is a layer of corruption. The Irish mob and Italian mafia control parts of the city, pushing prostitution and drugs onto the streets of Avalonis. If there's something you crave then there's always a way to get it, no matter how sordid your tastes. There's a reason why the city needs heroes. Avalonis Police Department is rife with corruption. The internal struggle within the department is probably why they have yet to pay full attention to the recent disappearances of young superpowered individuals, but how long can these disappearances remain unnoticed and who knows more than they're letting on? |

marvel_united and while we have several characters on our wanted list I in praticular would likelove to see Colleen's partners in non crime, Misty Knight, Danny Rand / Iron Fist and Luke Cage / Power Man in the game. I've alluded to Misty in Colleen's history, and it's been said in game that Colleen has a partner in her PI Business. However I am willing to amend /expand any backstory with any potential players! Drop me a line here, or PM the journal if you think you might like to take on one of those characters, and want to to talk backstory! :D

They kidnapped individuals and took them to an artificial island for the purpose of observing them. The Heads put their new subjects in rooms in a hotel, turned on their cameras, and settled down to wait. They were engaged in a social experiment, peppering their artificial island with rumors of a way back home, if only people could learn to work together. But the people weren't simply left to their own devices. The Heads create hazards on a weekly basis to keep the population on their toes and to observe the effects of various changes to the environment. They want to see the formation of bonds of friendship and love, of animosity and hatred, and then test those bonds. Is there an escape? Will it be found before it's too late? Methods and practices which were once considered archaic and barbaric yet again became common place. And along with it came the rebirth of Midian Asylum. Midian is a desolate and dreary place. By those that have been unfortunate enough to spend time here, it has been described as the loneliest place on Earth. In the time before Christ, there were two ethereal beings. One of light, who ruled over Leflore for more than a thousand years; one of dark, who envied her, and did everything in his power to take over. A battle of good and evil started, one that would see no end. The two beings, however, were not permitted to meet each other. The fighting was done from the miles that separated the two. If the two beings ever met they would bring destruction to the entire universe, little did they expect is love between Light and Dark. Many centuries of battle and death of their own kind and other races, they found a deep love for each other amidst the hate and despair. Centuries have passed and the war between both dark and light faded with time. Many creatures could rest with ease. Little did they know darkness crept back into all life forces, a new breed of darkness challenged the ancients of Leflore. Present day, the dark side of things had taken over the city of Leflore, and is being ruled by the new breed of darkness. But there was soon to be a war between good and evil again. Light and dark of the old Leflore would join forces to bring a stop to this new darkness. Will it be enough? Will these two ill fated lovers be able to finally see one another?
