The year is 1976, and the marauders have entered their sixth year. There has been talk in pureblood families of a 'Dark Lord', a man who's sole interest is purifying the wizarding world of muggles and muggleborns. He has enlisted the help of Hogwarts students, staff, and men living in Hogsmeade. With these minions, Lord Voldemort has already attacked many muggleborns, blood traitors, and Hogwarts. With the increasing attacks on Hogwarts, Headmaster Dumbledore has been given few options. After a muggleborn's death, the Headmaster has decided to lock the school. The Ministry of Magic has sent Hogwarts four aurors to help protect students and screen mail. No one gets in, and no one gets out. For now, Hogwarts has been at a lull - but how long will it last? Many students believe the attacks are coming from within Hogwarts, and fear the worst. What are the students to do? Headmaster Dumbledore has come up with the only possibly solution - he needs help. He needs a group of trusted people to fight back, and so begins the Order of the Phoenix. Slowly but surely these young witches and wizards will be trained to fight and protect themselves. Where does your path lie? |

And get to work the remaining members of Angel Investigations did. Four heroes against a city run rampant with monsters of all shapes and sizes. When it was all said and done, the dragon was slayed. The others followed suit or fled for their lives. Gunn perished but Angel, Spike, and Illyria survived. The Senior Partners fell silent and the battle for control of Los Angeles was declared over at long last. The city has begun to rebuild and people have returned to their daily lives since then. Yet, already plans are in motion to destroy the peace that has befallen the City of Angels. The Senior Partners are back, with a vengeance, and a plan they are certain will succeed. The Powers That Be have decided the time has come to mount a viable defense. Heroes and villains alike are arriving day and night. Some come with an understanding of what is to be expected. Some do not. And some are neither hero nor villain, but simply innocent pawns in a game where the rules are deadly and the winner, truly, can take it all. Now, only one question remains: On which side of the battle lines do you fall? Although Parabolical is a multi-fandom RPG set in the Angel-verse, knowledge of the show Angel the Series and/or Buffy the Vampire Slayer is not required. |

| eastempire is a panfandom pb-based alternate universe set in a semi-fictional modern day eastern coast of the United States, specifically New York City, New Jersey, and Washington DC. These three cities represent the three main aspects of the game for which the thrust of East Empire's larger story will depend: capitalism, crime, and government. These three separate, but not always independent, regimes of American power are far-reaching, and spread as widely as the corners of the continent, sometimes even curling around the necks of countries most and least expected. Such powers of domination are encompassed in the game by the seedy underbelly of the mafia in Jersey to the floor of Congress in Washington as well as the sky-scraping towers of high finance in New York. Yet it is not only the Americans who hold American power. Russian spies, for instance, the KGB, as well as the Italian and Russian mafia all have their bases somewhere along the east coast. The game is an interplay of many powerful existences, functioning as one of these three classes of empires. We welcome characters of all types from any fandom (game, movie, tv show, etc) and would love to see a variety of PBs. This game caters to all of the roleplayers out there who are curious about representing known characters and interacting them with others in a dramatic real-world-like setting. Being that this is heavily plot-based, the game will also encourage a great deal of out-of-character discussion. | |||

 Though the so-called Golden Age of King Char and Queen Ella is long over- so long ago now that few are still alive who can remember it- life continues on much as it ever did. Merchants travel the lands far and wide, finding new and exotic goods to bring back to Greenville, the town just outside the royal palace. Greenville's markets are thriving, and most of the town's inhabitants pay little mind to the castle looming in the distance. That is, of course, until The Gray Death appears. There is no known cure. Sufferers initially feel very weak, and are soon not even able to get out of bed. Overcome by fever, their complexions turn gray and they die. Still, Greenville believes it is safe- there are just rumors of the illness, and being so close to the castle, they're safe, right? The illness knows no boundaries, a fact that is brought starkly to light when the King of Frell contracts the disease and dies a short time later. The King leaves behind a land in limbo- his wife, the Queen, is trying her level best to keep power from the hands of their immature son. Heroes search for a cure, trying to avenge their fallen King. Life in Greenville continues on, if a bit more cautiously. Life in the court, however, is marked by ambition and intrigue. Courtiers' motives are far from pure, and ambitions are on the rise. No one is sure who will emerge victorious. Fair is an original character role playing game inspired by Ella Enchanted, Fairest, and The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine. The game takes place in the world created by those books, but no canon knowledge is required or expected. All fantasy characters welcomed! ☆ Moderator ☆ Threading Community ☆ |

| In September 1979, at the height of the first war, the Death Eaters assassinated the Minister of Magic and took over the wizarding government. Two years of terrorism followed, until that fateful Halloween night in 1981, when the Dark Lord vanished, Lily and James Potter died, and Harry Potter was left a scarred orphan. The war was over, but the consequences of those two years the Death Eaters spent in power were just beginning. After claiming to have been Imperiused, most of the Death Eaters retained their positions of power within the Ministry. They headed nearly every Department, from Magical Law Enforcement to International Cooperation to the Department of Mysteries. There was no escaping the arm of the Dark Lord, even after he was declared dead. The Death Eaters tried to retain the laws that had been passed during those two years, and the Order of the Phoenix tried to use its influence to push progression and equality. Neither side overtook the other, and even though the Wizarding World thought the war was over, the real battle raged as they fought for control of the government. But in June 1998, Voldemort returned to the world stage. His first act was to find the prophecy that had eluded him for so long, and he attacked the Ministry of Magic. The raid was a success, and in the chaos, Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge was killed. Ex-Auror Caradoc Dearborn was declared Minister of Magic. Finally the Order had what it wanted; power over the Ministry. But with the Death Eaters still running every Department, there is little they can do to help stop the war. It has been seventeen years since the last war, but the battle for England has only just begun. |
