CONNOTATION MORE THAN JUST A WAR GAME Premise | Available Characters | Who We'd Like To See The problem with most post-Hogwarts marauders' era games is that there's such a large focus on the war and how events affect the war. It's all dark, admittedly a little plotless the majority of the time, and can be a bit of drag. "Oh. More mass murders. I guess that'll be... interesting." At Connotation, we're going to change that. The war is going on, but it isn't the main focus, giving room for more potential plot-wise. And not just the mod's plot - yours. That's right. Here's your chance to get involved with shaping the plot. Muggles bumbling into the wizarding world, secret underground movements, kidnapping, and the search for the hallows - they're all being thrown around as potential pieces of the plot and you can be part of the discussion. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS JOIN. Wanted: Do you want us to have a Peter before a James and Lily? I didn't think so. Get on applying. Sirius needs his IDKBFF James. We could also use Death Eaters, who will actually have things to in this game! Carrows, Lestranges, and Malfoys - oh my! I suppose a Severus Snape might be nice, too. Or even Travers, Avery, and Yaxley. Molly and Andromeda could also desperately use their husbands and Fabian and Gideon would no love to have their step-brother around. And Amelia... well, she's not quite the same without Edgar. Oh, and who doesn't love a good Ministry official like the Longbottoms and Amos Diggory?

Hello my little darlings! Can you believe what the past few years have brought us? Here we are coming up on the fourth anniversary and so much has changed. Or maybe not. Cho is still being left by every boy in sight, Harry's still trying to right wrongs and triumph over evil and Ginny is still chasing after him. Angelina and Oliver are still fighting and making up and fighting and making up...honestly if it didn't help me sell papers, it would make me ill. But let's face it, I like nothing more then seeing Angelina angry and upset. Charlie still looks hot in....everything, George is still trying to be the joke king, and Kingsley is bossing everyone around. And I like it. Pansy, Daphne, Owyn and Marcus are doing what Slytherins do best: making babies cry, seducing everyone and trying to pretend that they aren't evil. But we all know the truth. Of course that's everything that hasn't changed. We have robberies and murder, suspicious characters creeping about in the night, growing annoyance with the current administration, possible Death Eaters in the shadows and a group of pranksters wreaking havoc! And that's just this week, I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow!

PROLOGUE

There's an elite boarding school an hour away from San Francisco that's dedicated to the education of children with superpowers: Veritas Academy. Veritas takes these children in and helps them control their gifts - trying to turn them into productive members of society. The lucky few become heroes and villains that are respected and feared the world over, but the rest also have real stories to tell. They are known as businesspeople, lawyers, doctors, academics, nurses, and teachers. They are the people you know, but never stop to truly wonder about. There are success stories and failures that are known everywhere, but not everyone can be Superman. The majority of the students remain virtually unknown to the majority of the public as they go about their everyday jobs and lead their everyday lives. The Veritas Alumni Association decided to follow the trend that had been set by Livejournal, Facebook and MySpace, and set up their own social networking site. It became known as something that old students use to keep in touch with friends, watch their enemies and complain about their everyday lives. Yet in between the complaints, arguments and laughs that the students are having, something is beginning to interrupt their lives: Someone is killing alumni, and no one knows who's going to be next.

They never meant for it to happen as they sat around the book of tales. All they wanted was for the stories to tell themselves. Four young students sat around the book experimenting with spells and taking notes. After trying for what seems like hours one of the four gave her final attempt. And that is when it happened. There was a resounding boom throughout the castle. There was an explosion of light and the pages flew through the room. Once the shaking stopped the girls gathered their things and made it back to their rooms before anyone noticed. After continuing the next few days as normal they decided the spell had backfired. But they couldn't be more wrong. The spirits of tales have taken over the students at Hogwarts. Strange things are happening and no one knows why. Some tales have managed to find students with a likeness to their characters; others weren't so fortunate.
