FAQ | Rules | Characters | Application BEGINNING MARCH 15TH It's 1980 and the first war is escalating. Voldemort is slowly taking over all aspects of magical life; he is systematically knocking out important ministry figures in his quest to deter Millicent Bagnold's campaign for Minister of Magic, and plotting the demise of key radicals in the Order of the Phoenix, Dumbledore's agitating, underground society. But something is changing. A new prophecy is being crafted by someone who has seen how Voldemort's campaign will tear the world apart and destroy the lives of those fighting against him. Will they re-shape the war to a better end, or simply delay what they are trying to prevent? Maybe an ill wind is blowing nobody any good. |
As children, we're expected not just to believe in fairy tales, but to embrace them. Boys can fly and live as children forever, girls can be rescued from their evil step-mothers and whisked away to castles in pumpkin coaches; the world is an endless stretch of possibility set against a backdrop of inherent freedom. It is only a fiction. The world eventually reveals itself to be an unkind place, the villains not easily defeated, no fairy godmother to come to the rescue. The loss of innocence is taken in stride by some, and those fortunate masses go on to become grown-ups, to live out their lives in some boring profession or another, to forget magic after passing it along to their own children. But what of those who grow older without growing up? What if Alice witnessed something so terrifying that she never wanted to leave Wonderland? What if Belle's beast was so cunning and so cruel that she could not bear to part from him, his murder of her father aside? For all of those who fell through the cracks, for the most unique and the least privileged, the untouchable and the uncared for, for the most heartbreaking and horrifying, there exists a refuge. The shelter? A deceptively quiet New England hospital; Cheshire Crossing. |
| MAIN COMM | MOD JOURNAL | OOC COMM | APPLICATION | CHARACTER LIST | FAQ | FANDOM LIST | PB LIST Five years after Sunnydale was swallowed by the earth, it's back. Or a reasonable facsimile at least. Built over the ruins of the old town, the newly named Prescott Valley has been billed as a shining oasis full of new houses and families. A mere two hour drive from LA, Prescott Valley has cinemas, schools, a mall, several Starbuckses... in short, all the amenities you would expect to find in a freshly built town. And one that you wouldn't. Deep below the town, something else has been rebuilt: the Hellmouth. Called to this portal between Earth and the Underworld is the Source, in the body of Cole Turner. In a last ditch effort to win his love back, Cole made a deal to take the Source into his body in exchange for actually getting a body. However, Cole was not as powerful as he thought and his plan to double cross the Source failed. Working with the First, the two Biggest Bads of all time are slowly but surely taking over the town of Prescott Valley, on their way to dominating the world. Tentative news of increased supernatural activity has reached the ears of the Good, however and protectors the likes of the Slayers, the Charmed Ones and others have begun trickling back into the area to investigate. Unbeknownst to most of the Prescott Valleyians, humans have been recruited, lured with promises of power and riches, and slowly the town is decaying again. In this epic battle of Good versus Evil, who's side will you be on? Opening March 28th! Characters from Buffy, Charmed, Supernatural & others still available!! |
Rules x Premise x Characters Application x PBS x Quidditch FAQs x Timelines x Friends/Contacts July, 1997, shortly after the death of Albus Dumbledore. The Department of Mysteries has made an unbelievable breakthrough in time travel technology, giving them the ability to send people back to any time in the past, and bring them back to the present only one hour after they left, no matter how long the travelers spend there. Naturally, the first question is how to use this to advance the war effort. A visit to Albus Dumbledore shortly before his death provides them with the answer, though they don't have the information to understand it: Albus advises them to send Harry Potter and his friends back to 1977, where they can search for and destroy Horcruxes at their leisure, without the war in the present taking the time to become too much worse. With that, the Trio - and Neville, Ginny, Luna, and Tonks - set off for the past. August, 1977, shortly before the Marauders begin their seventh year at Hogwarts. Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters are terrorising the wizarding world, with their attacks becoming progressively worse; Dumbledore's Order, newly formed, is attempting to combat them. The time travelers find themselves once again installed in the safe haven of Hogwarts, where they masquerade as students while trying to solve the mystery of the Horcruxes. But despite the fact that 1997 only progresses, for them, in leaps and jerks depending on when they return and how long they stay, it won't take long for Voldemort to realise that Harry Potter has vanished from the world as he knows it - and as more people join Harry in the past, wanting to help and wanting to hide, it becomes more and more obvious that the Ministry is involved. How long can the Ministry stand? And will it be long enough? |
