* The Fruitful Project is in no way possible affiliated with "The Eden Project" (eden_project) or "Neogenesis" (neogenesismod). The Fruitful Project is an independent game founded on November 2nd 2008. It has no prequels, sequels, or spin-offs. Similarities with any games that have come before it are purely coincidental.
Original Character. Future. Arranged Marriage. 17 & Up. In the year 2010 the world was plagued by the full effect of Global Warming. No country was spared, and no one could imagine the speed in which it came. Within months entire cities were underwater, drier than deserts, or completely leveled. Thousands died and there was no end in sight. Many lost hope until 2020 when the Eden Project was founded. The Eden Project was a last ditch effort by the human race. Surviving scientists came up with a chemical, a gas called 'Eden' that would hopefully cool the atmosphere enough to put a stop to the catastrophes happening around the world. Slowly but surely the temperature began to drop and the storms slowed. In the time between the beginning of the storms to the launch of the Eden Project, the world population had dropped from nearly seven billion to a little below five. It was another six years before the effect of the 'Eden' chemical was known. It began in 2028. There were suddenly less children being born and by the end of 2029, pregnancies stopped all together. The men and women of the world were now completely sterile. It was soon discovered that the Eden chemical was the cause of the sterilization, that the one thing that had saved the world had also doomed it to an inevitable ending, the population destined to dwindle down to nothing. Now in 2048, after the population has dropped to below three billion, a solution has been found. The same lab that came up with the Eden project has been working for the past nineteen years to reverse the devastating effects without destroying the clean and near perfect atmosphere of Earth. The Fruitful project was a serum, a cure that reversed the sterilization but only in people below the age of thirty. The Global Government is taking a drastic step to increase the population. The Governments of the world began to administer the serum by either offering it for people to take willingly or slipping it into the water. To further insure that the population will continue to grow, a global law has been put into place. A marriage law. The Fruitful Law. Every healthy, non-married person between the ages of nineteen and twenty-nine are to be married, whether by choice or by Government selection. The couple will have a one year period at the most after their marriage to conceive. The Fruitful project is for the betterment of our world. Who will be your match? A note about the mods: The mods at Fruitful are experienced players who have seen their fair share of fantastic games...and the not-so fantastic games. First and foremost, they are players who want to be a part of an active, successful game. They are here to listen to your opinions, and to create a community of players, not just a game for characters to be played in. The mods care about any player who is accepted or even just thinking about applying. Every character will have some sort of plot to participate in, and no entry a character makes will be ignored. The role play is set in a fictional town by the name of Innovo, California. It is the year 2048. newbies»» rules » application » played bys & holds » wanted characters » faqs »»information» full plot » the world in 2048 » innovo, california »communities»» the fruitful project » fruitful ooc profile layout » For the betterment of our world. |

The Premise |
It's the year 2004, six years after the war and life has moved on in peace since the defeat of Voldemort in the battle of Hogwarts. In this time of quiet, a sudden string of disappearances shakes the wizarding world. No one knows where the disappeared people are, what's happened to them, if they're alive or dead or even if they left by their own choice or not. Aurors stand without answers; newspapers and radio speculate wildly and the Ministry is in an internal uproar of power struggle and arguments. In these times, Aurors and hit-wizards are given more authority as more and more rules and laws are set aside as the Ministry tries to persuade people they're safe from harm. What is going on? What is happening to those who disappear? Why are some groups targeted more by the Ministry's new actions than others? Does the Ministry know something they're not letting on? And does perhaps the Minister himself have something to do with what is going on? Let your character help to sort out what is real from what is false... |

The town of Shelby, California has been around since the mid-18oo’s, back when Gold Rush fever was spreading like wildfire throughout the country. It’s relative closeness to the San Bernardino mountains made it a choice locale for miners and those seeking to start a new life. Twice it spat in the face of Fate. Twice it rose from complete destruction to become something great, something that would be a part of American history forever. |
Ever want to save the world? A re-opened RPG looking for members, Kapow! is a place full of crack-filled fun for the most part. Superheroes, supervillains, and even civilians are needed! With the Metahuman population expanding exponentially, they've taken to a new stand; no longer are they the unofficial vigilantes, dealing out justice by streetlamps and moonlight. Instead they work in broad daylight, with the people cheering (or cowering as appropriate). For several years, the law has been unable to keep up, although finally it's starting to get serious; things must be done about people, running about willy-nilly in jetpacks and twisting streetposts that the city paid for, to tie up supervillains. There are, after all, forms which need to be filled out. premise | rules | faq wanted | held | cast | application |

What happens to the old gods, once their temples have crumbled and their believers have abandoned them? Do they die, forsaken, alone? Or do they remain, still wandering the world, immortal, surviving off what little belief they can gather? Forgotten Gods follows the lives of these old deities, brought to America long ago by explorers or immigrants from their homelands and eventually abandoned or lost from memory. As their worshippers moved on to new religions, the gods' powers waned - for a god, at its most pure essence, is no more than an idea, and an idea is worthless if there is nobody to believe in it. Some have passed, forgotten, from the world, while others have fallen into madness. Some have simply tried to adapt, to make a life for themselves in this place without gods, getting by on what little scraps of worship and belief they can garner. Others are more radical, attempting to regain the power that was once theirs, to revive their followings. And then there are the New Gods. Gods of cars and computers, television and radio, cities and highways, all those things that modern Americans put their faith in. They are young, at the height of their power. These newcomers are regarded dismissively by some of the older gods, who have seen so many new deities rise and fall in their time; jealously by others, who wish to reclaim the power for their own; and by all with a deep wariness. Inspired by the world of Neil Gaiman's American Gods, this game invites players to step into the roles of deities, old and new, to create their own modern mythology. Wanted: |

The School was founded around 20 years ago by a young Erik Claudin, a visionary with a gift and a dream to teach kids with similar gifts, show them how to deal with their special abilities and help them find their footing in the world. Monsieur Claudin has eyes everywhere and many good connections, he'll seek out these rare children, or in some rare occasions the children or their parents will seek him out for help. They're invited to a safe environment where they can be themselves without shame. The school is an old rich mansion, Just outside of Addison, Maine. The small community is tucked up in the thick woods of pine trees and cedar, just a walk away from a small, charming community of Addison. Addison is occupied mostly by older folks who own small shops, and sea fares who bring back lobster and other shell fish. The town is a safe community with one synagogue, one Presbyterian church, and one Catholic church. The city of New York is about a three hour drive away from campus, and teachers often take students for field trips into the big city. For students flying in the school offers rides by our faculty from New York to the Clairmont campus, and back when it is time to go home. The children stay in dormitories, paired up or alone, often depending on power. They are not to leave the school grounds unless they have special permission. All in the name of safety. But one thing is for certain that they will always find kindred spirits, people like them who are struggling with new discoveries, and people to guide them along the path until they are ready for the real world. Ready for a gifted boarding school that's just starting out, has two highly active mods, and is ready to get into full swing? Well. I guess it's a good thing you're going to check us out then.

THE DAMSEL IN DISTRESS "The one being rescued doesn't get to complain! You just act the part and stand around trembling and say 'Oh, save me!'" Sweet, beautiful, not all that bright, a magnet for trouble and generally helpless, The Damsel is frequently in need of saving. Don't expect her to do anything to aid her own resue either. Quite the contrary: the existence of the Damsel In Distress often precipitates a Dulcinea Effect; the strange compulsion of heroes to champion, quest for, or even die for, girls they met five minutes ago. Examples: Princess Aurora in Sleeping Beauty. The female lead in Legend. Lana Lang in Smallville.
