the GAME

There are signs that warn people that something lurks out there; the icy feeling in your chest, the prickling of your hair, and the feeling of being watched. The only problem is, they may not just believe it, but they know that it is true. There is a darker side to the world that you thought you knew. So be fearful of the night, trust in what you feel - for evil does exist, and nightmares can be real. The story is simple: the night world does exist where there are many supernatural races or species that have secretly existed alongside humanity for thousands of years; vampires, witches, werewolves, demons. You were told there was nothing out there to fear in the dark, you were told wrong because they are all around us hidden in everyday life, whether it is morning or night. Your teacher could be one, so could your boyfriend or girlfriend. This is what happens when humans and the supernatural cross paths and identities are revealed and forbidden lines are crossed. While many search for that eternal love that they so desperately want, many others are looking for revenge. Tangled Skeins ... when fantasy meets reality ...

It is the summer of 1971 and all around Britain and new year
of students are receiving their Hogwarts letters- pureblood, halfbloods and
muggleborns alike. Follow these students through their summer and the coming
year at Hogwarts. What will happen to them? Will their choices impact their
already formed friendships? Will they bend to societies prejudices or tread
their own path? Only time will tell.

Tom Riddle, now known as Lord Voldemort to a select few, has
resurfaced and is gathering followers to fight a war of Blood Purity. Will your
character join him or fight for the ministry or Dumbledore? Perhaps they will
stay neutral. Only time will tell.

The Beginning is a Harry Potter Roleplay set in 1971, the
Marauders first year at Hogwarts. All characters who are alive in that year are
available to play even if they are no longer in Hogwarts, plenty of things are
going on in the rest of the Wizarding World. This is an AU game as you are not
expected to stick with canon. Severus can become friends with the Marauders,
Narcissa can like Amelia Bones... anything goes.

New York City, and Harbour, have been mysteriously transported back 80 million years to the Cretaceous period. A period where dinosaurs rule over the land, sea, and sky. With the appearance of bees, plants and angiosperms also start to flourish and the weather has settled on temperate. It's a crucial time in Earth's natural evolution history. Why and how, has NYC become the newest victim of time-travel field trips gone wrong? Well no one's really sure about that. Whoever did it covered their tracks and left nothing. As if relocating a city through time wasn't impressive enough; time travel itself seems to be prohibited. On top of that, they managed to gather all the heroes, villains, and anyone they ever associated with, and plop them into the city just before the "big move." Also? They've managed to raise the dead, in the non-zombie way. It's all rather impressive but the lack of answers make it terrifying. Outside the city it's beautiful, untouched, and primitive and dangerous. Nevermind facing your arch nemesis -- there's an allosaurus more than ready to gobble both of you up for lunch. So what happens when the heroes and villains start to lose their abilities as they start to uncover secrets about their major relocation?

The hundreds of magical lands and worlds that used to exist in the minds of children are now in a state of decay. As a result, the figures of legend have fled to this newly imagined land. Some are afraid Pentamerone will merely become a graveyard for the last of the fairy tales, others are determined to start a new life in their promised land. It's up to you, and them, to decide how they will survive.

Hi there! I'm trying to get some lines for my characters in a great game called Midnight Remedy, that just opened. I'm specifically looking for two of my characters:

The first is for my character Eva:
Her mother, Claire (middle name open) Turner--Eva hates her mother, largely because her mother is quite prominently a witch, while Eva is only a human. There's much more detail in her bio here. I would die for Claire to be filled, because I really want to play out that relationship and have Eva progress to a point where she realizes it's ridiculous to hate the mother who has tried to give her daughter everything.

There are four potential lines: her father (Asher), mother (Anastasia), older sister (Odelia), and younger brother (David). I'd love to have any of them filled, because my girl desperately needs her family, because they're all conduits! They're not the closest of families, but Cassia and her brother David are close. Her sister Odelia is a little more standoffish, while her parents largely don't interact with anyone other than their vampires, and other "important" people. For more, see her bio here.

In late spring of 1997, Albus Dumbledore was killed by Severus Snape, and the Wizarding World changed. Hallowed Ground is an RPG community for writers interested in exploring the intricacies of what followed, reaching deep beyond what's already known. Come discover where everyone who wasn't Ron, Harry, or Hermione went after the attack on Bill & Fleur's wedding, watch the DA reform and battle the Carrows reign, the Death Eaters plan attacks on Muggle and Wizarding societies from inside the Ministry of Magic, and members of the Order of the Phoenix strive to keep a light shining in the dark. Join us in our endeavor to develop the adventures unseen as time winds down to a final battle unlike any writing experience you've had. Hallowed Ground is searching for the absolute fullest compliment of cast possible. We accept any character mentioned in the seven Harry Potter books who is known to be alive on 1 July, 1997, and encourage insightful takes on both characters we already know and particularly ones we've barely met. The game is played in day-to-day time (with accommodations for holidays, etc.) and is set to end after the Battle of Hogwarts, with as much time as is needed after to properly finish threads. Applications are currently open; players are asked to work with canon to develop their own path through the known story lines as we go, as there is already so much available room to maneuver. Writers interested in applying should know that this is a community oriented game. Moderating is done by a combination of founding mods and player-elected mods, preventing power trips and encouraging player participation while still providing the necessary assistance and guidance to make a game run smoothly. Experience is not required; we firmly believe that a writer brand new to RPG can develop a character fabulously and fully. The Fruitful Project Original Character. Future. Arranged Marriage. 17 & Up. In the year 2010 the world was plagued by the full effect of Global Warming. No country was spared, and no one could imagine the speed in which it came. Within months entire cities were underwater, drier than deserts, or completely leveled. Thousands died and there was no end in sight. Many lost hope until 2020 when the Eden Project was founded. The Eden Project was a last ditch effort by the human race. Surviving scientists came up with a chemical, a gas called 'Eden' that would hopefully cool the atmosphere enough to put a stop to the catastrophes happening around the world. Slowly but surely the temperature began to drop and the storms slowed. In the time between the beginning of the storms to the launch of the Eden Project, the world population had dropped from nearly seven billion to a little below five. It was another six years before the effect of the 'Eden' chemical was known. It began in 2028. There were suddenly less children being born and by the end of 2029, pregnancies stopped all together. The men and women of the world were now completely sterile. It was soon discovered that the Eden chemical was the cause of the sterilization, that the one thing that had saved the world had also doomed it to an inevitable ending, the population destined to dwindle down to nothing. Now in 2048, after the population has dropped to below three billion, a solution has been found. The same lab that came up with the Eden project has been working for the past nineteen years to reverse the devastating effects without destroying the clean and near perfect atmosphere of Earth. The Fruitful project was a serum, a cure that reversed the sterilization but only in people below the age of thirty. The Global Government is taking a drastic step to increase the population. The Governments of the world began to administer the serum by either offering it for people to take willingly or slipping it into the water. To further insure that the population will continue to grow, a global law has been put into place. A marriage law. The Fruitful Law. Every healthy, non-married person between the ages of nineteen and twenty-nine are to be married, whether by choice or by Government selection. The couple will have a one year period at the most after their marriage to conceive. The Fruitful project is for the betterment of our world. Who will be your match?
