The incident with Xavier and the replica of a machine known as Cerebro, were immediately blamed as being a source of contention across the world. Assuming that it was a so-called act of mutant violence, the President of the United States began trying to pass the Mutant Registration Act (MRA), a system that would require a ` mark ` on many public files and outcast mutants in society. It would not pass through Congress. Senator Kelly, one of the major members of Congress was a stout defender of mutant rights. He also knew that Professor Xavier‘s School was indeed a haven for young, scared boys and girls to go and learn about these strange new abilities. He was the only true mediator for mutants and humans alike. But, the President was not impressed, and called in a favor by the Brotherhood of Evil. The Brotherhood accepted, and upon the next election in November, Senator Kelly was brutally assassinated. The death of the Senator caused not only anger among mutants but also humans as well. With looming anti-mutant rallies, the MRA was brought up to Congress once more and was quickly passed. Soon, 25% of the mutant population unemployed within three weeks, the percentage soon doubled as jobs became extinct to the mutant population, the humans had deemed them too dangerous. Organisations continue to provide Balamb Garden with a steady line of clientele, utilising their teams of elite mercenaries by pulling them across-continent as personal soldiers. Other cadets hang back within the academy, waiting their turn as they focus on schoolwork, training… and just a little more than before, having social lives. Life may not be all about fighting and war from here on, and the dangerous electricity in the air, lingering from the battles just months ago, does nothing to ruin the palpable feeling of relief and the promise for new beginnings. But the calms after storms are fickle things. Who knows how long this one will last? It’s a new age -- not perfect, but better. The triwizard had been banned for centuries, but this was not your standard triwizard game, Dumbledore had explained. Rather, a tournament of skill for students. "A magical obstacle course, Dumbeldore has finally flipped his rocker and taken his newest role as a muggle phys ed. teacher," The prophet had said. But despite its initial criticism from those on the outside, the excitement for the games concentrated on the young, and young at heart. Tournament, it was called. One weekend in May, a bona fide endurance test of all the skills the students had learned over the course of their School careers. Tournament is a Marauders Era, Hogwarts Private Story Line set during a Weekend tournament that tests the magical and moral skills of the participating students. LET THE GAMES BEGIN. Ever Wonder What The Lives Of The Chosen Ones Are Really Like?
Welcome To New York's Upper East Side, Where we live and go to school and play and sleep - sometimes with each other. We all live in huge apartments with our own bedrooms and bathrooms and phone lines. We have unlimited access to money and booze and whatever else we want, and our parents are rarely home, so we have tons of privacy. We're smart, we've inherited classic good looks, we wear fantastic clothes, and we know how to party. Our shit still stinks, but you can't smell it because the bathroom is sprayed hourly by the maid with a refreshing scent made exclusively for us by French perfumers.
It's a luxe life, but someone's got to live it.
