| When the Superhuman Registration Act was passed in July of 2008 things changed immediately. While some heroes stood for it, others were firmly against it, and as the two factions split down the middle those on the outside began to call it a Civil War. Iron Man stood for his government's policy, while for the first time, Captain America stood against it. The two men were friends, as most on either side were at the time, but all could see the sacrifices needed to be made for their cause. Registered and aligned with the government, Iron Man's strike force began working on systematically bringing in those heroes who stood in opposition to the new act. With the support and funding from Tony Stark's personal wealth they were near unstoppable. |

Looking for a home for a Britney Spears pb. I've written up a character profile/history for her, which can be publicly and temporarily found HERE. I'd appreciate it if it was at least skimmed over before just suggesting a place, as I'm trying to find somewhere to put her where I think she'd fit in. That said, if you know of a place that might appreciate her, please let me know, either here or there.

The incident with Xavier and the replica of a machine known as Cerebro, were immediately blamed as being a source of contention across the world. Assuming that it was a so-called act of mutant violence, the President of the United States began trying to pass the Mutant Registration Act (MRA), a system that would require a ` mark ` on many public files and outcast mutants in society. It would not pass through Congress. Senator Kelly, one of the major members of Congress was a stout defender of mutant rights. He also knew that Professor Xavier‘s School was indeed a haven for young, scared boys and girls to go and learn about these strange new abilities. He was the only true mediator for mutants and humans alike. But, the President was not impressed, and called in a favor by the Brotherhood of Evil. The Brotherhood accepted, and upon the next election in November, Senator Kelly was brutally assassinated. The death of the Senator caused not only anger among mutants but also humans as well. With looming anti-mutant rallies, the MRA was brought up to Congress once more and was quickly passed. Soon, 25% of the mutant population unemployed within three weeks, the percentage soon doubled as jobs became extinct to the mutant population, the humans had deemed them too dangerous. Like I really was marked for disaster. I’d escaped time and
time again, but it kept coming back for me.
Still this time was so different from the others.
You could run from someone you feared, you could try
to fight someone you hated. All my reactions were geared
toward those kinds of killers – the monsters, the enemies.
When you love the one who was killing you, it left
you no options. How could you run, how could you fight,
when doing so would hurt that beloved one? If your life
was all you had to give your beloved, how could you not
give it?

Humanity witnessed the pinnacle of its evolution. For a short span of time, Earth was a veritable paradise and the genius of man seemed untouchable. They say that history wields the greatest lessons of all; a saying that has always been proven true. As technologically brilliant as we had become, we did not learn from our mistakes. We did not learn to overcome our own hubris. Each country became lofty of its achievements, while simultaneously becoming greedy for those of others. Those caught in the middle were forced to chose sides. So began a war unlike any other and, when it all ended, the paradisiacal version of Earth was lost.
It has been thirty years since and the world has yet to recover. It lies mostly barren and uninhabitable, save for a few bleak cities scattered over the northern hemisphere. Human society has attempted to pick up the pieces but struggle to remain hopeful in the face of a despotic government that monitors and regulates their every move. Some flee the dictatorship to live on the outskirts, or even in the deserts – only to cope with the perpetual sand storms, lack of resources, and those mutated by the nuclear holocaust we unleashed to end the war.

Six years after the Battle of Hogwarts in which the Dark Lord Voldemort was defeated by the infamous Harry Potter, the lives of those affected by the war are returning to normalcy. The Ministry has been rebuilt, government restored to it's original status with security in place that most wouldn't have dreamed of more than half a decade ago. Loved ones were lost, but over the years the date of the victory had become a memorial, and those who had fought against the Dark Lord and his followers were recognized as heroes for everything they had done. Some of them returned to work at the Ministry, others got married and started families, and the elite returned to their places in the Quidditch League. Back to the pre-training seasons, practices, matches, semi-finals, finals, parties, and most importantly - the scandals, all has returned to normal in Wizarding Britain. It's the lives of the rich and the famous- the good, the bad, and the ugly. The idea is simple. Just create a character that is a celebrity in some way- an actor, singer, author, photographer, etc... You've seen a tabloid! You get the point! The year is 2025 and Chicago doesn’t sparkle as it once did. Everything is dirtier, grittier and more worn down than the pictures in the history books like to show. Glitz and glamour have no place here because a war is brewing in the shadows. Bullet holes and dried blood litter the city’s streets and no one thinks twice if a person is gunned down a few feet away. But it wasn't always like that. For years the Irish, Russians and Italians occupied the city on what could be considered "friendly" terms. Patrick O'Meara saw to it that the peace was kept and that each group saw to their own affairs. Each stayed out of the other's way and if someone stepped out of line, meetings between the heads of the families were called and it was settled quietly behind closed doors. Thanks to O'Meara, they were all able to coexist peacefully enough. Well, right up until someone decided to pull the trigger and open Pandora's box. Dante Morelli, son of the Italian crime boss Antonio "Tony" Morelli, was the one who decided to take matters into his own hands. A lifelong grudge held against O'Meara's son fueled his plan for revenge and without consulting any of the elders, took a few of his most trusted soldiers and put an end to Patrick O'Meara's life. It was only a matter of time before chaos ensued and more blood was shed. No one knows exactly who pulled the trigger, but then again, it really doesn't matter. Now, Conor O'Meara has been called back from Ireland to lead in his father's place and enact a little revenge of his own. All bets are off and both the Irish and Italians are gunning for each other while the Russian's, with a little meddling of their own mixed in of course, sit back and wait for the smoke to clear. So who will it be? The Italians who specialize in drug trading and follow a list of commandments? The Russians who are notorious for underground operations and clean transactions? Or the Irish who are perhaps the oldest and most organized crime group in the city? The choice is yours and without it, you might as well be dead. They had finally made it. Friends embraced each other, lovers kissed, and children bounced happily. The truce between the Cylons and Humans remained steady as each gazed upon the beautiful planet known as Earth. They had found their new home, and they were going to share it. The planet would help continue the existence of each race, or so they thought. The few that were given the chance to step foot on the ground soon found the planet not to be up to their expectations. There was nothing left; the planet was in ruin. Something had happened many years before their arrival. How could this desolate place be home of the Thirteenth Tribe? How could it be home to anyone? The group looked over the land, unable to comprehend what could possibly have done this to a planet. There was silence; everyone was too surprised to speak, and too downtrodden to suggest that it was only part of the planet. Before anyone had a chance to return to the Raptor, Dr. Gaius Balter stumbled across a piece of technology that was foreign to him. He stood in front of the DHD and peered over it, recognizing the shapes as constellations. In fact, he recognized quite a few of them, from this galaxy and their home galaxy. As he examined the device, Six appeared next to it, whispering in his ear and telling him to punch in a certain code. He listened to her, and did as he was told. Within moments, the watery-vortex that was the wormhole burst forth through the ring-like portal and the group was taken aback. The group cautiously approached the Stargate, curious as to what type of technological capabilities the 'Thirteenth Tribe' possessed. It was Kara Thrace, triggered by something in her memories, that passed through the Event Horizon first, followed shortly after by Lee and Sam. It wasn't long until the rest of the group made their way through. What awaited them on the other side was something that would surprise them even more: the past. A glitch in the system allowed the group to bypass Atlantis' precautionary measures, and they all arrived on the other side, guns pointed at them and Dr. Elizabeth Weir gazing down at them. And that is where the battle for humanity continued, for the groups all worked together to keep the Wraith and Ori from teaming up and destroying Earth together... The Event Horizon is a Battlestar Galactica/Stargate RP that allows for most characters from the series (New BSG, SG-1 & Atlantis) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place during the last season of SG-1/season 3 of Atlantis and the last season of BSG. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still.  | A PANFANDOM RPG Once upon a time, in a land closer than one might suspect, there was a prosperous kingdom ruled by a little king, King Leo. At the heart of this kingdom was the Castle Town, Padarak. It was a land that had once been affected by a miasma that caused many great and terrible monsters to cause havoc across the land. King Leo, with the help of Lady Chime, the ever-trusty knight, Hugh Yurgh, the townsfolk, and the fond memories they had of their old kingdom, rebuilt the kingdom to its former glory. It is a peaceful place, dusted by crystalline mists in the morning and blessed by warm sunshine during the day. The glowing crystal at the center of the Castle Town made sure of this. Under King Leo's reign and the protection of the crystal the kingdom thrived and grew, becoming even greater than it had been before. However this peace and bliss did not last. Under the dark cover of night King Leo disappeared without a trace. Saddened and frightened by this, the townspeople prayed to the crystal; that it would continue to protect them, and grant them the strength to bring their king back to them. There was an answer to their prayers, but it was not in a way that they had considered possible. The crystal summoned people from other worlds and dimensions, asking these strangers to help the troubled kingdom. Imagine a world where magic rules, where nine moons circle the sky and war has waged for centuries. Welcome to planet Trivald, a world unlike our own. Three species have been fighting for their right to survive, only to decimate over half the population in the process. With a treaty now in place, the people of Trivald put their faith in their children, sending those of 18 to 24 years of age to a compound where they will learn to live with each other, or risk repeating the mistakes of the past. With outside influences cut to a minimum, those within the compound will face trials that will force change, break traditions, and test the bonds between friends and enemies. The sun rises, then falls, the moons pass as night sinks deeper, and a new trial begins at half past midnight.

Half Past Midnight is an original fantasy roleplay, played via forum. The world includes humans, lykos, and vrykolas-- Trivald's versions of werewolves and vampires. Play takes place within the walls of the compound, where all three species are tested to their limits, both by the compound itself and by their peers. Characters range from ages 18 to 24.
