One moment in Reesyn, and you can tell why so many supernatural/paranormal beings live there. Not only are the people more accepting, but the town itself holds a deep history and power. (The power comes from the fact that Reesyn is build upon power leys, in fact, the center of town is where two power leys meet and cross.)

16 years ago, a terrible fire ravaged the city. Buildings and business alike were damaged, lives lost. The truth of how that fire started has long been hidden, and though there are many theories no one is sure what happened, or why and who hid the truth, at least no one telling. Most buildings were repaired and reopened not long after the fire, but some sat empty for years. One in particular, the old apartment, sat empty and rundown until just recently. It's been fully restored and reopened, which may have made a few of the not so lively natives a little restless.

Reesyn's your typical American town. With a few quirks.

Reesyn is strictly an Original Character game.

Reesyn is open to all things (slash, mature situations, incest, pregnancies, anything along those lines), so long as they're done realistically and you follow the games basic rules.

The game has a tentative start date of August 1st. Will be pushed back to August 8/9th if we need to generate more interest still.

If everyone knew 1984 was when everything was going to happen, why was no one prepared?
Hexennacht is an alternate universe MWPP game set in 1985; a world where Gellert Grindelwald is now the Minister of Magic for all of Europe, and Muggleborn wizards live in fear of the Black Caps, Grindelwald's personal army, charged with keeping the Muggles and wizards alike in line. Hexennacht begins with the latest decree restricting magic allowed by Muggleborn wizards to the simplest forms of magic, while the purebloods are allowed to get away with murder. With the Death Eaters on the run, Voldemort in Azkaban with no hope of getting out, and the Order in hiding, along with the remains of their single ally, a former terrorist organization, is there any hope of restoring Europe to a land of tolerance?

[ PLOT ]
Psychic abilities were something often explored in books and movies and on television, but always were held in the realm of science fiction and fantasy. Not so now, however. In the latter part of the 20th century, individuals began developing various ‘extra’ mental abilities that the bulk of the population did not have. The ability to hear the thoughts of others. The ability to dissociate their spirit from their body. Things that were often frightening and unnerving when they were unexplained and unexplored.

Slowly, some of these people began to find each other, to explore their abilities with others who would not think them freaks. And the idea was born to create a school to nurture the young minds coming with these abilities. And so the Zener School of the Mind was born - a place for young people with psychic abilities to come and learn how to control these abilities, while also continuing their secondary education. In 2000 the school was opened, with only a handful of students. Nearly a decade later and it has grown and flourished.

The Zener School operates as a private school, but without the usual academic requirement for admission - instead they are required to exhibit some psychic ability. There is a cost of attending, however, those students unable to pay are given scholarships. It is tucked away, out of the prying public eye. There, students are taught to understand their special skills, to get them under control so that they can fit in with normal society.

But the government knows its there. And a covert branch of the government wants the psychics, to train and use for their own means. In secret they have been training their own group of psychics to be their own personal weapons, and these psychics are about to emerge...

[ Not looking for x-men style characters - not mutant based, only psychic. Characters wanted for both Zener (Studens and Staff) and Project: Stargate (because you can never have enough bad guys.) Currently not accepting any more electrokinetic characters for Zener, although they're a-okay for ProjectL Stargate. Welcome to The Retreat, a rehabilitation center specializing in Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome for war victims. It is funded by Saint Mungo's hospital and set within the beautiful woodlands of the Kamchatka Peninsula. We proudly boast a well trained staff of nurses and doctors specializing in psychological counseling while, at the same time, providing a healthy and nurturing sense of community and family.

What our pretty brochure won't tell you, however, is that our head doctor is a bit of a bored masochist with a god-complex, magic within The Retreat has been nearly nullified, the grounds are charmed to heighten emotional responses, and there's hidden cameras set up everywhere, even behind the two-way mirrors.

So won't you join us in our pseudo-quest for mental wellness in a post-war world, where even though the Dark Lord is dead, the victims of the second war can't escape the fact that they'll always be someone else's pawn and plaything.

Welcome To New York's Upper East Side, Where we live and go to school and play and sleep - sometimes with each other. We all live in huge apartments with our own bedrooms and bathrooms and phone lines. We have unlimited access to money and booze and whatever else we want, and our parents are rarely home, so we have tons of privacy. We're smart, we've inherited classic good looks, we wear fantastic clothes, and we know how to party. Our shit still stinks, but you can't smell it because the bathroom is sprayed hourly by the maid with a refreshing scent made exclusively for us by French perfumers.

This whole mess began when some practicing Witches, in their ultimate wisdom, decided to try a rising spell. Now, a rising spell is supposed to summon the gods to transform those who cast it to the next level, igniting the powers within them... only the spell THOSE stupid fuckers cast didn't quite go that way. Whether it was a mistranslation, a wrong turn of phrase, a missed or added ingredient... it doesn't matter, as the next morning thousands upon thousands of humans had been changed.
The catch? They didn't know! The spell had ignited some kind of special gene which only resided in those humans so now they could play mind tricks, have whack agility, breathe fire, shit like that which made us Vamps sit up and take notice.

Our food was suddenly able to fight back and sometimes it was beyond our capabilities to stop them. There were some Vamps who wanted to reach out to them, to guide them and get them on our side, whereas the rest of us - the ones with their brains intact - realised the real problem.

If a Mutaint (like mutants in comics, 'cept they aint) was to be turned into a Vamp, or practice Witchcraft, without knowing of their own power they would be stronger than ten Vampires put together. That gene is like a trigger - once turned it would release a whoole motherfucking mixture of jazz into their veins. We couldn't have that. No fucking way.

We still can't. So what we gotta do is find the 'Taints, and make sure that every single last motherfucking one of them is put down. Our survival depends on it. Witches' survival depends on it. Because if a Taint gets Turned... all Hell will break loose.

Humanity witnessed the pinnacle of its evolution. For a short span of time, Earth was a veritable paradise and the genius of man seemed untouchable. They say that history wields the greatest lessons of all; a saying that has always been proven true. As technologically brilliant as we had become, we did not learn from our mistakes. We did not learn to overcome our own hubris. Each country became lofty of its achievements, while simultaneously becoming greedy for those of others. Those caught in the middle were forced to chose sides. So began a war unlike any other and, when it all ended, the paradisiacal version of Earth was lost.

It has been thirty years since and the world has yet to recover. It lies mostly barren and uninhabitable, save for a few bleak cities scattered over the northern hemisphere. Human society has attempted to pick up the pieces but struggle to remain hopeful in the face of a despotic government that monitors and regulates their every move. Some flee the dictatorship to live on the outskirts, or even in the deserts – only to cope with the perpetual sand storms, lack of resources, and those mutated by the nuclear holocaust we unleashed to end the war.

Ever since being created back in the seventies Polari has been one of the many consistent gay magazines in London, never being listed as one of the top ones but never being shut down either. For nearly forty years this has never changed. Until now. After having no choice but sell the magazine due its financial difficulties, Polari has ended up as a property of a huge publishing company whose plan is to change the magazine completely. Make it the gay man’s Cosmo and FHM both collided in one. New staff has been hired to ensure that the magazine reaches it potential. The only few rules upon hiring staff so far have been that they have to be young, stylish and gay.
