Humanity witnessed the pinnacle of its evolution. For a short span of time, Earth was a veritable paradise and the genius of man seemed untouchable. They say that history wields the greatest lessons of all; a saying that has always been proven true. As technologically brilliant as we had become, we did not learn from our mistakes. We did not learn to overcome our own hubris. Each country became lofty of its achievements, while simultaneously becoming greedy for the achievements of others. Those caught in the middle were forced to chose sides. So began a war unlike any other and, when it all ended, the paradisiacal version of Earth was lost. It has been thirty years since and the world has yet to recover. It lies mostly barren and uninhabitable, save for a few bleak cities scattered over the northern hemisphere. Human society has attempted to pick up the pieces but struggle to remain hopeful in the face of a despotic government that monitors and regulates their every move. Some flee the dictatorship to live on the outskirts, or even in the deserts – only to cope with the perpetual sand storms, lack of resources, and those mutated by the nuclear holocaust we unleashed to end the war. ______ Welcome to Bitter Season and all it encompasses, a world attempting to survive after a disastrous nuclear war but thirty years prior. We are a community for serious writers, those who wish to create unique and original characters to maneuver around a versatile but dark world. We allow in those characters who truly fit the game and those players mature enough to properly appreciate the themes. Phoebe is a prize winning column writer for The Bay Mirror, and has penned several best selling novels on love. Trouble begins brewing right under their noses, unbeknownst to the Halliwell family. A new Source of Evil is rising to power, organizing the once chaotic underworld. This new Source is planning on taking out the Halliwell line to clear the path for a worldly destruction and a takeover of evil. Betrayal is lurking in their midst, and together, this new generation will battle the inner threat and the Source along with the help of new allies. In a time of danger, the sisters decide it's time to pass on their Charmed heritage so three new witches in their family are chosen. Though the power of three rests on simply three, the whole of the new generation must band together and work as a team. It’s up to the Halliwell offspring to save the day and take on their parents charge of the Charmed destiny. We're in the midst of heavy plot at the moment, so this is a great time to introduce new characters! It was not too long after that World War III ignited. Nobody was taken by surprise, though the results were catastrophic. More than half the world was plunged into poverty. The rebuilding took years, but the effects of the warfare were still present. No one could escape the rising uncertainty. The richest nations in the country had been reduced to near third-world status. America was no exception. Having spent billions and billions of money on the war, America's economy was severely weakened.. Beautiful cities, once known around the world for their landscapes, national and historical monuments were now destroyed - but there was still hope, a light at the far end of a never ending tunnel. The American people kept it together and stayed optimistic despite their country's dilemma. Though the citizens stayed strong, America was vulnerable for the first time in a long time. The government decided to do something about it. A program named X-GENE was accepted in the year 2080. In a highly guarded facility, somewhere near Seattle, genetic testing commenced. Children were " donated " and created -- then exposed to the x-gene. They would be trained like agents. Knowledge of firearms, transportation, their mutation, and various martial arts were mandatory in the program. The children were built to be soldiers, plain and simple. Ever Wonder What The Lives Of The Chosen Ones Are Really Like?

Welcome To New York's Upper East Side, Where we live and go to school and play and sleep - sometimes with each other. We all live in huge apartments with our own bedrooms and bathrooms and phone lines. We have unlimited access to money and booze and whatever else we want, and our parents are rarely home, so we have tons of privacy. We're smart, we've inherited classic good looks, we wear fantastic clothes, and we know how to party. Our shit still stinks, but you can't smell it because the bathroom is sprayed hourly by the maid with a refreshing scent made exclusively for us by French perfumers.

It's a luxe life, but someone's got to live it.

It has been 21 years since Batman first appeared in Gotham.

17 years since he had a run in with Catwoman, an elegant and seductive criminal that turned out to be the love of his (and Bruce Wayne's) life. So much so that she gave up her life of crime to fight along side him (and be Bruce's wife).

And 11 years since he disappeared.

Following a long and gruesome war with the Joker (one the claimed the lives of not only many civilians but Catwoman as well), Bruce Wayne hung up his cape and cowl. With Selina gone, he was now the only person their six year old daughter had and he would not see her orphaned the way he had been. Let the Gotham Police handle the criminals. He was done. From that day forward he would concentrate on being Bruce Wayne -- Father, Philanthropist, and CEO of Wayne Enterprises.

The Joker escaped, off to lick his wounds in Metropolis or whatever city he choose to wreck havoc on next, but the police did manage to get their hands on Harley Quinn. Sent back to Arkham, she remained there for almost ten years before being declared legally sane and rehabilitated.

Now she's back on the streets, supposedly a new person. But then...why is she rounding up some of the Joker's old henchmen. Turns out she is about to declare her own war on the Bat...one that she hopes will bring him out of hiding. Because, you see, she wants to string him up as a welcome home present for her Mr. J who she knows will be coming home anyday.

The only problem with her plan is Huntress, Gotham's newest caped crusader. For the past six months she has been working to foil Harley's schemes. Who is she? What's her connection to Batman? And is she really the savior everyone thinks she is?

The battle for Gotham is about to begin.

forgotham is a different kind of Batman game set in the "Nolanverse" but borrowing from all other Batsources. My hope is that by combining all these elements with a unique plot and placing them in a grittier, less stylized world that it will give the players a new freedom with which to explore their favorite characters.

He was known as King Augusten, and his queen was called Violet.
Together they ruled for nearly thirty years and the people were happy, nothing was denied of them,
and as long as they continued to work together nothing could go wrong.

But, King Augusten was only one man,
he could not have eyes and ears in every part of his kingdom for it stretched on for thousands of miles in every direction,
