Some humans living in the city are fully aware about the creatures that come out at night. Others have no idea or simply choose not to believe in them. Naturally Vampires and Lycans can't go around killing each other left and right, it would cause chaos in the city. The vampires and werewovles came to an agreement centuries ago to remain civil for the sake of the others bloodline.  - Plot - Rules - Character List - Played-Bys - Team Info - Apply - - Contacts (F-Lock) - Advertise (F-Lock) - So we all know that Captain Jack Harkness runs Torchwood Three, that Torchwood One was destroyed in the Battle of Canary Wharf, that Torchwood Two is headed by "a very strange man" and that Torchwood Four is currently misplaced. Well that's all fine and dandy, but things are about to start changing. Torchwood One is reopening just outside of London and is now known as Torchwood 1.1 and Torchwood Two's leader has been replaced. Torchwood Three of course isn't any different, with the exception that Jack has been missing for a bit. The big thing is that Torchwood Four is back on the map, headed by the same person it had been before it was 'misplaced'. It seems Torchwood Four, headed by one Major Charlie Sheppard, had a minor malfunction involving Cardiff's rift. In fact, Torchwood Four is located right near Torchwood Three, or at least it was until it and its team got pulled into another universe. Which is where Lucian Devereaux comes in. It seems that he got a hold of a Time Agent's vortex manipulator in the far future and has been using it at his own pleasure. Well, until it backfired and he was sent to the present and made the rift flux, sucking Torchwood Four into it. Luckily, Major Sheppard wasn't there at the time. Now as for Lucian, he'd been jumping through time randomly and unwillingly as he tried to fix the vortex manipulator. During this time he realized that he'd jump from the present in Cardiff to some different point in time and then back. Along the way, he managed to bring back people with him who shouldn't be during that time, and that caused the rift to go haywire, also bringing people to the present that shouldn't be there: those that are dead, those who aren't born yet, and those in other dimensions. And so, Torchwood realized they needed to work extra hard to try and stop this and thus re-established Torchwood Four, somehow convincing Charlie to head it once more. And that is where we begin... Ever at the ready is a Torchwood/Doctor Who RP that allows for any character from either series (old and new) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place around the start of season two. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still, including The Doctor (any of them) and most of Torchwood Three. We're also looking for bad guys and aliens to be hunted down, as well as people to fill up the other Torchwood Teams. If you think you're ready, then we're ready to have you join the team! Approachable Yet Unattainable - Character A is a teenage boy who has fallen into a rather unsavory part-time job. He works in a brothel on the weekends, paying off a debt his junkie brother accrued. It is in this brothel that he meets Character B. ( Character B's status is negotiable. Rich and prominent. Middle-class and a nobody. We'll discuss ). Character B gets what he pays for and even more. He finds himself smitten with the boy, and when he sees the boy out, during the week, B can't help but approach him. But can a real relationship exist between a part-time whore and an older man? Can B save the boy? Does A even want to be saved?

At the northern reaches of the New York metropolitan area, nestled in the state's scenic Orange County, Mercury Falls was founded 1685. Traditional, the residents pride themselves on the peaceful normality of the town. However, not everyone sees this as a good thing. Children, growing and graduating, move on to what they see as bigger and better things. With nothing to bring in new blood, Mercury Falls, having celebrated its tricentennial and then some, seemed to have been given a "use-by" date.
Mercury Falls High, once the pride of the town, was now decidedly average. In sports, they were win some, lose some. In academics, they fell comfortably somewhere in the middle of the achievement continuum. At least, that had always been the status quo, until about a year ago. The election of the new mayor brought about change. In the high school, grades started rising steadily, new classes were introduced and the Panthers had never had a better season. Grant money is rolling in and with it, new families and life. The town is once again flourishing, but for a troubling trend among certain students. As much as the town would like to deny and ignore it, at a disturbing rate, students are disappearing - going missing, committing suicide, running away.

Located just four miles out of Napa, California, The Sutton Academy has become the place for the rich (and sometimes famous) to send their children. Boys and girls come from all over the country (and in a few cases, the world), to receive a first rate education. At least, that's what the brochures say. The truth is, The Sutton Academy has become more of a 24-7 babysitter for rich kids rather than a school. The price tag is high, but it's a rarity that kids fail out, or get kicked out of Sutton, something their parents know when they sign their checks each year.
There are many roles open at Sutton Academy.
Presently, females are not being admitted because of a severe shortage of males. Once the numbers start to even out, though, females will be welcome once more.
We are especially in need of staff members. Everything from professors to secretaries to security guards is available.

Initium is a new beginning. Lord Voldemort is dead and the wizarding world is picking up the pieces left in his wake. The muggle-born registration has ended and they no longer live in hiding. The ministry is no longer in turmoil. Hogwarts is reopening. All is right with the world?
In the wake of Lord Voldemorts demise, the death eaters have claimed to be Imperiused or otherwise coerced into service in his name. Some have been released into society, now better citizens. Among that group was Rodolphus Lestrange. He has become very active in the ministry and is considering a run for political office, standing up for the order, doing what is right in society. Things are not always as they appear. The death eaters have reformed underground and are quietly building their army again under Lestrange's guidance, unbeknownst to the world.
Meanwhile Hogwart's is flourishing. Due to the disasters of the last year, the students have been invited back for a proper 7th year and a proper education. It is a shortened year but it gives then the opportunity to make up what they missed and take the exams that will help them continue on into their careers. The parents think that it is a good idea, especially those of muggleborn children who had to leave the school last year. The DA is a welcome organization and the students may feel free to join. It isn't hidden but honored. Below the surface though, the DE children will also organize and will build again. Leading in the seventh year, they are now pushed underground but they never stay there for long.
Initium is an intricately woven game where spies for either side, run rampant as battle lines are again drawn. Each side, both in the wizarding world and at school are gearing up for yet another round. Who will win in the new world is anybody's guess.

Death; the end of life; the total and permanent cessation of all vital functions of an organisms. Each and every life ends as such, with one final breath but what if you could take that back? Take back that last breath, breathe life into someone long since past.. in the year 2023, it's not all that far fetched. From out of the Department of Mysteries finally came the veil. It was due for inspection as many odd things had been happening in the room containing it. It was thought that the removal of said object wouldn't upset much but it did. The very same day that the ancient object left the place it had resided for hundreds of years people began popping up. Normally, that wouldn't be a particularly terrible thing but the people whose faces started appearing at both the Ministry and Hogwarts were known to be dead. As it were, apparently, the dead were returning.
With death in a reverse cycle, the Ministry is in a panic. No one knows why they're here, how they've come to be, and what this means for their world. The dead and the living have always had a rather thick line between them and with people stepping over - with souls becoming flesh and blood once mnore - who's to say what will happen?
