What would happen in Wizarding society had Harry and He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named not faced each other on that fateful night in 1998? What would happen if things had not gone as smoothly as J.K Rowling had described? How would this continuing presence of darkness affect all those striving to survive? How far can the Wizarding world fall before it's broken beyond repair? Today, Tomorrow & Yesterday is an AU Harry Potter War game that incorporates the cannon through books one to six, but leaves the details of books seven and the years beyond open to the eager minds of it's players. This game takes place in 2002, 4 years after the Trio's seventh year and the war is still ragging. With the death of Dumbledore, Harry Potter was left with no one to look to for guidance. There was no one left who knew the information needed to locate and destroy the Horcruxes. No one to help him destroy Voldemort. He was finally alone. Ron and Hermione stood beside him, but they only knew what he could tell them. Everything else they would have to discover on their own. True to their word, the three of them did not return to Hogwarts for their final year, instead starting out on their journey to defeat the Dark Lord, but their journey has yet to be completed. With the little information they have, the journey has been slow going and the Death Eaters have not made it easy. The streets of Wizarding Societies across the Continent have been turned into battle zones, even going so far as to stretch into Muggle neighbourhoods. As the years pass Voldemort has only gained in strength and those fighting against him have had to all but disappear from society. Both dark and light tread carefully. Drawing too much attention to yourself could very well be the last thing that you do. How much longer can the light hold out against the forces of the Dark Lord? What will it take to finally be free? Things are tense at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Rumors of Voldemort's return are being whispered amongst the students, voices hushed and nervous as the latest bit of information makes the rounds. Fear has settled heavily on many shoulders, quickly bringing uncertainty and mistrust to an already divided school. Who belongs to which side? Are there spies amongst the students? What will happen next, who will die next? Can anything be done? The school may be safe from the outside wizarding world, but are the students safe from each other? The generations-long battle between the houses hasn't gotten better, and current tensions have done nothing but elevate the rivalries to a new level. To make matters worse, an anonymous group of four girls have stepped things up, creating a vicious gossip paper that periodically and sporadically details information about their fellow students. Details that only close friends would know. Details that no one is ever happy about having shared with the entire student body. It's called Bavardage. No one knows who publishes it, or how information is gathered for it. The only certain thing about it is that it is another source of trouble and uncertainty. With the teachers seemingly unable to stop new issues from going out and the issues getting progressively nastier and revealing more secrets, the last, thin threads of trust amongst the houses are fraying quickly. Friendships are being challenged and broken, and new, dangerous liaisons are being built. The general consensus is that the girls must be stopped: but how? The purebloods are getting snobbier every year, the halfbloods are losing recognition for their minds and intellect and the muggleborns are treated as welfare cases on scholarship from the British Prime Minister. The whole student body is stuck in a downward spiral, trapped by an endless ring of rumors and lies. Libel and slander are not punishable, but instead encouraged. There's nothing more important than bringing down anyone suspected of being responsible for Bavardage. People are getting hurt, and not just by the paper. With no one able to trust anyone else and constant fights breaking out, the search for the guilty is getting nowhere extremely fast. There's war brewing, and not just outside of Hogwarts. Somewhere within the castle that is supposed to be one of the few safe refuges left in the wizarding world, four girls are playing a dangerous game with their fellow students. Will the school collapse onto itself, or will the youth of the wizarding world be able to band together and overcome the fear, distrust, and rivalries that are threatening to tear Hogwarts apart? Her best friend obviously she'd know well, the cousin she probably hasn't seen since they were both little, but maybe talks to them online or something like that. I'd just like her to have a friendly face from her past to interact with (either can be male or female, again). The other line I'd like to see for her is her ex-boyfriend Jeff. The name is negotiable, however. He was a sports player (something that is at NYU) and was a Sports Management major. They didn't end on good terms, she hates him. premise! - Plot - Rules - Character List - Played-Bys - Team Info - Apply - - Contacts (F-Lock) - Advertise (F-Lock) - So we all know that Captain Jack Harkness runs Torchwood Three, that Torchwood One was destroyed in the Battle of Canary Wharf, that Torchwood Two is headed by "a very strange man" and that Torchwood Four is currently misplaced. Well that's all fine and dandy, but things are about to start changing. Torchwood One is reopening just outside of London and is now known as Torchwood 1.1 and Torchwood Two's leader has been replaced. Torchwood Three of course isn't any different, with the exception that Jack has been missing for a bit. The big thing is that Torchwood Four is back on the map, headed by the same person it had been before it was 'misplaced'. It seems Torchwood Four, headed by one Major Charlie Sheppard, had a minor malfunction involving Cardiff's rift. In fact, Torchwood Four is located right near Torchwood Three, or at least it was until it and its team got pulled into another universe. Which is where Lucian Devereaux comes in. It seems that he got a hold of a Time Agent's vortex manipulator in the far future and has been using it at his own pleasure. Well, until it backfired and he was sent to the present and made the rift flux, sucking Torchwood Four into it. Luckily, Major Sheppard wasn't there at the time. Now as for Lucian, he'd been jumping through time randomly and unwillingly as he tried to fix the vortex manipulator. During this time he realized that he'd jump from the present in Cardiff to some different point in time and then back. Along the way, he managed to bring back people with him who shouldn't be during that time, and that caused the rift to go haywire, also bringing people to the present that shouldn't be there: those that are dead, those who aren't born yet, and those in other dimensions. And so, Torchwood realized they needed to work extra hard to try and stop this and thus re-established Torchwood Four, somehow convincing Charlie to head it once more. And that is where we begin... Ever at the ready is a Torchwood/Doctor Who RP that allows for any character from either series (old and new) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place around the start of season two. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still, including The Doctor (any of them) and most of Torchwood Three. We're also looking for bad guys and aliens to be hunted down, as well as people to fill up the other Torchwood Teams. If you think you're ready, then we're ready to have you join the team!  For 40 years, representatives of the Colonial Fleet travelled to Armistice Station to meet with their Cylon enemies. For 40 years, the Cylons never showed. Over the years, the human representatives had come to believe that the Cylons would never arrive at Armistice Station, but they were wrong... It is now the year 21355. On the opposite side of Colonial space, a communications black out hit the Minerva Facility, a Cerberan Tylium Solutions outpost which branched out several years ago into Colonial Fleet salvage with the cooperation of the military. Light-years away from the home system, Minerva relied upon a network of communication relays, one of which was destroyed in the initial Cylon attack. As Voldemort fell in defeat before his adversary Harry James Potter, many believed the story to be over. What more could possibly happen now that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was finally gone from their lives? After everything, surely Harry Potter and the British Wizarding world deserved to live peacefully amongst each other, building careers, and raising families. Rowling even gave the world a glimpse of how it would end, sharing an image of a happy future ... but nineteen years is a long time. With the future generation still carrying the prejudice of the ones before them could the Wizarding world truly be at peace? It would be this very question that would lead to an all new adventure for both Light and Dark. On June 20th, 2003 an emergency declaration was sent to all former Hogwarts students who graduated from the school between the years of 1990 to 2003. Inside each envelope there was a simply crystal suspended on a silver chain, the crest for the Ministry of Magic engraved on the stone. Confused, the students who received the gift reached out to touch the crystal only to find themselves transported from their homes to a new location. Harry Potter and the rest of his generation are now facing life in an unfamiliar location without magic to help to them. Their wands are useless and many of them are horrified to find themselves trying to survive as Muggles. Each person was given a small package of supplies, which included clothing, a small amount of money, and a generous ration of food supplies. In order to be returned home the former students must work together to solve the vague and erratic clues being left for them, but given their previous history will this experiment be too much for them to handle? The Ministries ultimate goal? To build respect. |
