santacruzca would be wicked - Plot - Rules - Character List - Played-Bys - Team Info - Apply - - Contacts (F-Lock) - Advertise (F-Lock) - So we all know that Captain Jack Harkness runs Torchwood Three, that Torchwood One was destroyed in the Battle of Canary Wharf, that Torchwood Two is headed by "a very strange man" and that Torchwood Four is currently misplaced. Well that's all fine and dandy, but things are about to start changing. Torchwood One is reopening just outside of London and is now known as Torchwood 1.1 and Torchwood Two's leader has been replaced. Torchwood Three of course isn't any different, with the exception that Jack has been missing for a bit. The big thing is that Torchwood Four is back on the map, headed by the same person it had been before it was 'misplaced'. It seems Torchwood Four, headed by one Major Charlie Sheppard, had a minor malfunction involving Cardiff's rift. In fact, Torchwood Four is located right near Torchwood Three, or at least it was until it and its team got pulled into another universe. Which is where Lucian Devereaux comes in. It seems that he got a hold of a Time Agent's vortex manipulator in the far future and has been using it at his own pleasure. Well, until it backfired and he was sent to the present and made the rift flux, sucking Torchwood Four into it. Luckily, Major Sheppard wasn't there at the time. Now as for Lucian, he'd been jumping through time randomly and unwillingly as he tried to fix the vortex manipulator. During this time he realized that he'd jump from the present in Cardiff to some different point in time and then back. Along the way, he managed to bring back people with him who shouldn't be during that time, and that caused the rift to go haywire, also bringing people to the present that shouldn't be there: those that are dead, those who aren't born yet, and those in other dimensions. And so, Torchwood realized they needed to work extra hard to try and stop this and thus re-established Torchwood Four, somehow convincing Charlie to head it once more. And that is where we begin... Ever at the ready is a Torchwood/Doctor Who RP that allows for any character from either series (old and new) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place around the start of season two. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still, including The Doctor (any of them) and most of Torchwood Three. We're also looking for bad guys and aliens to be hunted down, as well as people to fill up the other Torchwood Teams. If you think you're ready, then we're ready to have you join the team! Albus Dumbledore is dead at the hands of Draco Malfoy. Severus Snape did nothing to stop it. Can he be trusted? Or is he really one of them? As Snape desperately tries to convince Voldemort he can still be his spy within the Order, the Order attempts to stabilise its position within the school. McGonagall becomes Headmistress; Snape (to Voldemort's delight) becomes Deputy Headmaster; Kingsley become DADA professor; Tonks decides to teach transfiguration?!?! And the Order, as whole, desperately tries to convince one Harry Potter that he can accomplish whatever it is he needs to accomplish and still attend school. September 1st approaches. The returning 7th years are that much closer to NEWTs. That much closer to adulthood. That much closer to war. Who will live? Who will die? Who will Terry Boot ask to go to the Weird Sisters concert with him before school starts?! |

originis It's 2006 and Alice is busy planning a wedding, Bella is busy trying to figure out if she's really ready for everything, Jacob is finally back home but hurting and still pinning over Bella, and Heidi is about to set up camp in Port Angeles. The Volturi are a lot more interested in Bella and the Cullens than the Cullens think. They have been debating how to go about making sure Bella is changed, and new hunting ground. The story starts a week or so before Heidi comes to America with two other Volturi members. Rachel Black comes home and everything appears to be calming down. That is until more vampires show up... Not just the three Volturi, but the Denali family come down from Alaska for a visit to the Cullen's. They want to know why they've heard rumors about the Volturi coming States side.... Meanwhile the humans are just caught in the middle of mythological battles. Bella has been kidnapped by Heidi on the day of her wedding, will she ever get married? The worst was finally behind them. Victoria and her army of newborn vampires were finally defeated. High school had officially come to a close and graduation had come and gone. Now what Bella Swan left to look forward to? Well there was the matter of her upcoming nuptials to Edward Cullen and, more importantly to her, her promised transformation once the wedding had gone through. Everything was falling into place, at least it seems. However, nothing involving Bella Swan ever goes that smoothly. But putting blind trust in one man, war-hero or not, isn't always a wise decision. Minister Shacklebolt has always had the best intentions for the wizarding world, but distrust is easily swayed to paranoia and in these uncertain days the war-hero Minister is more of a figure-head than anything else. |

[Rules] [FAQ] [Brief history] In the beginning of the 21st century people around the world started realizing the problems mankind had created for the planet we call our home and it wasn't something that could be fixed right away. It took well over a century to get to a solution - mass emigration. But not everyone left, about 1% of Earth's population remained behind and as the planet slowly recovered life went on as normal for most people. Quintana started out as an experiment for controlled environmental studies and the first stepping stone for non-terrestrial habitation. As the years went by, the city grew without a care in the world because as far as they cared there wasn't much else outside of the city. So when born and raised into a city that has everything, life shouldn't be too bad, should it? Well, life is what you make of it. In Quintana this is as much a reality as it is anywhere else. So who are you and what are you going to make of your life? |

boom·town: \ˈbüm-ˌtau̇n\ - Origin 1896 1. noun: a town enjoying a business and population boom. 2. slang: the proverbial location for sexual intercourse. 3. proper noun: the place to find your favorite heroes. Three men walk out of a bar. Into a cavalcade of photographers, reporters, and fans waiting with autograph pads, screaming and reaching for a piece of their clothing. The bartender is already giving a full report of exactly what they drank, who had one too many, and exactly what ladies got placed on the attention list. This is just like any other Hollywood scene, except for one important difference: these celebs don't get hustled into a limo to escape, and this isn't LA. This is Boomtown, and the limo is one 'up, up, and away' from the open night sky. Granted, flying while tipsy isn't advised, but it's better than beating the paparazzi in the face with a camera. Some things you just can't blame on super villain brainwashing. Yes, Boomtown. Where the spandex-clad (or not so very) go to hang their hats. From the outside, it might look like any other bustling metropolitan area. But the districts of Boomtown are laden with heroes, whether they know it yet or not. Each school, hospital, movie theater and county fair is destined to push out more suspiciously heroic activity than the annual Fireman's Kitten-Rescue Relay. Of course, where the heroes gather, so follow the press. The people so well known for saving the collective tushie of the world are hot and marketable, and often quite photogenic. While some heroes manage to slip past unnoticed, there are always the media hounds who keep the city hopping. Where go the heroes, of course, go the villains. There can be no rest for the wicked, after all, and they need a place to keep their spare dental extraction equipment, too. (At rent controlled prices, if possible.) To help keep the balance, Boomtown scientists have created hubs, so that they can travel to and from any major city to address these evildoers at a moment's notice. It's also really handy if they've forgotten that pesky anniversary present. No one's memory is perfect! (Except for The Amazing Elephant, but that's another story.) Come, learn how the better half live. No one can truly resist the urge to know what color underwear their favorite saviors sport underneath that skin-tight spandex, after all. The newshounds are here for a reason - they know a great story when they see one. But don't let them fool you, it takes more than the super-famous to keep a city running. Everyone has to pay their bills, take out their garbage, and get their groceries, no matter how many world leaders they've rescued from intergalactic kidnappers. Every cog in the massive machine that is Boomtown has its place, from the working stiffs to the elegant A-listers. The stories are generally a whole lot more interesting than what the paparazzi is reporting, too. A camera lens, however sneaky, can only see so much. And when you're dealing with heroes and villains, there's always more than what meets the eye. |
