Dark Dissension is a post-Hogwarts game set in present time 2005, dealing with war and the lead up to war.
-18+ game.
-Slash/Het friendly.
-NC-17 for themes, subject matter, and violence predominantly.
-Plot & Character based (i.e. smut is NOT a mainstay of play, and is discouraged).
-Mods are friendly and active players.
-We want people who like to play and who play things true to their character (no metagaming).
-We love people willing to cause some IC drama and get messed up!
-OOC Drama will not be tolerated.
-Characters WILL all be up for attack should attack need to happen, there is no bowing out of that, this is war. This does not mean serious injury will occur.

However famous, the owners insist artists "pay their dues" by working as underlings in the offices and playing music nightly. It brokers much touring money with big promoters and boasts professional p.r. but getting the word out? That's the artist's job.
Slack on your job and you're likely to end up low on the bill. Get caught with your pants down? The world will know. At Metro, you're yourself. And you're more. Your reputation is their reputation. So serve it well.
Of course, this is not all doom and gloom. The close relationship of diverse artists is something to be glad of. Everyone is a gold mine. No one is an idiot. There's love. There's hate. Lust. Betrayal. Intrigue. Sales.

 - Plot - Rules - Character List - Played-Bys - Team Info - Apply - - Contacts (F-Lock) - Advertise (F-Lock) - It seems Torchwood Four, headed by one Major Charlie Sheppard, had a minor malfunction involving Cardiff's rift. In fact, Torchwood Four is located right near Torchwood Three, or at least it was until it and its team got pulled into another universe. Which is where Lucian Devereaux comes in. It seems that he got a hold of a Time Agent's vortex manipulator in the far future and has been using it at his own pleasure. Well, until it backfired and he was sent to the present and made the rift flux, sucking Torchwood Four into it. Luckily, Major Sheppard wasn't there at the time. Now as for Lucian, he'd been jumping through time randomly and unwillingly as he tried to fix the vortex manipulator. During this time he realized that he'd jump from the present in Cardiff to some different point in time and then back. Along the way, he managed to bring back people with him who shouldn't be during that time, and that caused the rift to go haywire, also bringing people to the present that shouldn't be there: those that are dead, those who aren't born yet, and those in other dimensions. And so, Torchwood realized they needed to work extra hard to try and stop this and thus re-established Torchwood Four, somehow convincing Charlie to head it once more. And that is where we begin... Ever at the ready is a Torchwood/Doctor Who RP that allows for any character from either series (old and new) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place around the start of season two. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still, including The Doctor (any of them) and most of Torchwood Three. We're also looking for bad guys and aliens to be hunted down, as well as people to fill up the other Torchwood Teams. If you think you're ready, then we're ready to have you join the team! "The premise of this game, what we feel makes it unique, is not that it takes place in an isolated village, but the fact that characters from across the fandoms are sent there for a reason. It is the mun's responsibility to determine a reason, and reasons must be submitted to the mods as part of the application. (An example would be if House, from House MD, was sent to the village in order to get his Vicodin habit under control). | The Order of the Phoenix has spent years fighting against Voldemort, his Death Eaters and the very idea of Pureblood supremacy. Many people on both sides of this battle have given their lives for what they truly believed in and in the spring of 1998 the Wizarding world thought that they had received the final answer to the struggle between equality and supremacy. Harry Potter, surrounded by those who believed in him, defeated He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named for the final time. The wizarding world rejoiced as Voldemort's dark shadow was removed from their homes and communities and they were able to rebuild the lives that they had once had. Now, as the wizarding world enters the year 2003, they find themselves facing danger from the very people many of them fought so hard to protect. The barrier between the Wizarding and Muggle world is deteriorating. Is there a new group of Death Eaters out there? Is it a remainder of Voldemort's plans? Rumours and speculation run rampid as the Ministry tries to determine the cause. As more and more Muggles stumble across the magical world and it's people, violence and hatred cross barriers, leaving Witches and Wizards every where wondering if maybe Voldemort had been right after all. Now, as a new year dawns, Death Eaters and Order members will have to come together to fight off this new threat. Will old grievances get in the way and tear apart old wounds? How will new policies be hammered out? And most importantly, will the Wizarding world be able to survive as the hunted minority? |

Ever Wonder What The Lives Of The Chosen Ones Are Really Like?
Welcome To New York's Upper East Side, Where we live and go to school and play and sleep - sometimes with each other. We all live in huge apartments with our own bedrooms and bathrooms and phone lines. We have unlimited access to money and booze and whatever else we want, and our parents are rarely home, so we have tons of privacy. We're smart, we've inherited classic good looks, we wear fantastic clothes, and we know how to party. Our shit still stinks, but you can't smell it because the bathroom is sprayed hourly by the maid with a refreshing scent made exclusively for us by French perfumers.
It's a luxe life, but someone's got to live it.

In the year 2008, a virus swept North America. Ever vigilant for a pandemic, citizens boarded up their windows, stockpiled their canned goods, and turned their neighbors in to the CDC. Short wave radios fell off the shelves, evacuation routes were prepared. Gas masks and specialty filtration systems were distributed. Pills were available for those showing early symptoms. Pills that did not work. That were later replaced with cyanide as their active ingredient. For those who were brave enough to put their fingers near a loved one's mouth. The United States, Canada, Mexico, the virus swept down into South America and festered in the heat of the jungle. In some places it burned out. Superstition ruled and saved lives. But nothing stopped the virus. Three months after the first diagnosed case of Currere Excessum was recorded, NATO approved Great Britain's use of nuclear force against the United States. It was assumed that all organic material would be reduced to ash under the impact. It was assumed that the Quarantine of the Americas would be temporary, at best. Any who survived the blast would be given the highest in humanitarian attention and medical care. The only American emissaries who knew of the plan lay incinerated in Washington. The Quarantine continued. The Americas lay abandoned. Empty. Except for the Nuclear Autumn. Some died in the blast, others didn't. The virus was resilient. The ash of the blast rose into the sky, infecting the atmosphere with darkness. Clouds rolled in to stay permanently. And the creatures came out in the permanent gloom. Any survivors were quickly swept into the clutches of their word nightmares. The twilight that came at midday would be the safest time for any to attempt to find rescue. If there was any rescue to be found. Now, there is a matter of survival. The human race has been diminished to almost nothing, less than a percentile of its original population. The Hordes still linger, swarming in larger cities, feasting on the remains of those killed in the blast. But their preference is for live flesh. The land is scoured. Livestock and housepets, those that were not decimated by the blast, are killed instantly. Survivors start out alone, but they pick up others. Some they'd never trust. Some they must. Survival rates are higher in groups. The mission is survival: Feed, clothe, and keep moving before the Horde can catch up. Don't get sick. Don't slow down. And hope that one day, the Quarantine will be lifted. |

In a world ravaged by war and uncertainty, hope is dawning. It's been nearly a year since Harry Potter vanquished the Dark Lord, Voldemort. Although the war has ended, families are still wounded by the deaths of loved ones. Student's educations are in shambles, and trust is a shaky thing. Everyone is putting their trust in Minister for Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt. He is the beacon for order and peace in the still-dark wizarding world. But putting blind trust in one man, war-hero or not, isn't always a wise decision. Minister Shacklebolt has always had the best intentions for the wizarding world, but distrust is easily swayed to paranoia and in these uncertain days the war-hero Minister is more of a figure-head than anything else. |

Asphodel: Powdered root of asphodel is used in the Draught of Living Death. This plant is traditionally associated with the afterlife and the underworld. We are living in a world of uncertainty now. Before, the only worries we truly had were whether or not we would pass our examinations or if the marauders were the ones responsible for turning everyone's hair a nice shade of lilac. But times are changing and things are getting darker out in the real world. A growing army is fast approaching; friends and family members are disappearing more often and there are a growing number of events happening that can no longer be explained easily. All done by he who dare calls himself Lord. Asphodel is a game focused almost entirely on the war of the late 1970s that threw the entire wizarding world into chaos. With darkening themes and realistic events, it won't be for those who are faint at heart and can't bear to sit back and watch our most beloved characters thrown into the lion's den.
