Tag to Terry! :)
Who: Terry Boot & Aidan Chambers.
Where: Starts out at the Leaky, then continues at an abandoned warehouse.
When: September 2nd. Late afternoon.
What: Terry and Aidan try and push Project: Revive the DA a bit further. Without being drunk this time.

Even though it had been but a few days, it felt like a lifetime ago that Aidan had last seen his best friend and – over a few shared pints – they had come to their fateful decision. And like a small pebble that was thrown into a calm lake their decision to 'do something' started making ever-growing circles, the consequences of trying to re-form Dumbledore's Army already outweighing the initial decision.

Aidan wasn't quite sure whether he should be scared or excited and settled for an uncomfortable mixture of both as he waited for Terry in front of the Leaky Cauldron.

As they had discussed, they needed a place to work from and they had both been looking for one the past days (and truth be told, his neglect of his job was slowly but surely getting Aidan into trouble with MediWitch McKenzie – something he didn't quite like thinking about). As it was, they needed to find a place. Quickly. Before Aidan failed his exams because he kept turning up at work completely exhausted.

Terry raised an eyebrow. "Why would it be pink? Some girls drive motorcycles, not just ride." He laughed a little. "You get on, but I'm not sure cling to me like an ape is how I'd put it. just hold on, yeah? If Padma likes riding, I'm sure you will too." Once Aidan was settled, Terry started the bike up and they were off.

"Because pink would be more humiliating." Aidan remarked then shook his head (which looked slightly ridiculous in that helmet). "I'll hold on and...Padma is rather...I mean she likes eating that weird stuff, too, doesn't she? I forgot what it's called but I can't stand it and I saw her eating it in school, so we can't really say that...I'm babbling again, aren't I?" Of course he was, hoping to mask his uneasiness. And then Aidan felt the thrill of the ride and suddenly stopped complaining. This was fun!

"You don't need pink to look humiliating," Terry noted. "And I don't know what food you're talking about, but what you eat doesn't have much to do with riding a motorcycle." After a few moments of silence, Terry became curious. "What's the matter? No more bad comments about my bike, or motorcycles in general?" He paused. "You're either so scare you've lost your ability to speak, or you might actually have no bad comments and...wait, no, that's not possible. You might possibly enjoy this, even a bit? Am I dreaming?"

Aidan made an impatient sound and rolled his eyes (even though Terry couldn't see that).

"I sort of like it." Aidan admitted in a very small voice, then cleared his throat to distract from this blunder. Still, he had to get Terry to teach him how to drive a bike. It was amazingly fun.

"Are we there yet?" Aidan whined instead, directing his thoughts back to the matter at hand: setting up a headquarter for their little band of rebels.

"I'm sorry, what was that?" Terry joked. "Did you just say 'I sort of like it'? Can I get that in writing?" He smiled. "See, I told you. You should listen to me more when I suggest you try things."

This time Terry's eyes rolled, unseen by Terry. "A bit impatient there, aren't we? We're almost there, just hang on." He sped up just a bit more as his excitement grew.

About ten minutes later, the bike stopped in front of a large, metal fence, behind it two large, sort of gloomy-looking buildings. A sign near the front of the gate said Lanchester, Corp.."Well, this is it." Terry said, looking up at the buildings. "What do you think?"

Aidan got rid of the helmet and revealed his tousled mop of hair and a wide, manic grin. "Bloody brilliant!"

It wasn't only one building – there were several! And, from what Aidan could see they were big enough to do some serious practicing, too. His smile widened and he barely kept himself from bouncing with excitement.

"Terry, Dis is perfect! Let's go an' see what it looks loike on de inside!" Aidan beamed, his Irish accent suddenly thick due to his agitation. "We need ter make a list av things we need, an' make files wi' possable contacts an' we need trainin' mats an'...let's go in already!"

Terry laughed. "I love it when you start talking Irish at me," He said, shaking his head. He almost felt like he was watching a child. "But slow down, alright? One step at a time." Terry got off the bike and put his helmet down. "Let's just look around and get the general idea of what type of facilities we have? Though I'm sure it's nothing a few charms can't fix."

He walked up to the gate and opened it. "C'mon, let's go."

"I do not go 'Irish' on you." Aidan said with an expression of great dignity and a notable effort to speak without accent though they both knew that a growing level of agitation or exhaustion Aidan could reach levels where he was barely understandable.

He pulled out his wand, cast a Concealing Charm on them (better safe than sorry, after all), then muttered Lumos and gave Terry an impatient look.

"Yer don't 'appen ter 'ave groun' plans av dis place, do yer?" He asked, getting excited again. "'ow many buildings, their general set-up, whether they 'ave runnin' water an' electricity – do we nade electricity?"

"Right. Of course you don't. I shouldn't mention the kinds of things that happen on St. Patrick's Day then." Terry said with a small laugh, rolling his eyes slightly.

After Aidan put the concealing charm on them, Terry nodded. "Didn't think of that since the place is under my family's name, but not a bad idea all the same."

"Ah, that would be a good idea, wouldn't it? They had them in City Hall, I made a few copies." He pulled a miniature folder from his back pocket, enlarged it, and opened it up. "Alright. By the looks of it there are..." He trailed off as he skimmed the files. "Six buildings, two of them look along the lines of warehouses and they have what looks like two floors and the regular buildings have four or five." He paused and slowly shook his head. "No, these buildings haven't been used in a decade or so, they're considered unusable, so I'd assume there's no water or electricity. We can provide light for ourselves, though, water too if we need it. But let's take a look around first, alright?" Terry gave a swift flick of his wand in the direction his of motorcycle in which it disappeared before proceeding toward the building closet to them.

Aidan gave his friend a mock-stern look that crumbled very quickly as he remembered the kind of antics he usually got up to on St.Patrick's Day. And dressing up as a giant shamrock in a drunken stupor wasn't even the worst of it. "This year, mate," Aidan warned Terry sternly. "This year we're going out for St.Patrick's Day."

Having thus threatened his friend sufficiently, Aidan turned his attention back to the buildings - plural! - he thought and smiled. This was even better than anything he could have hoped for! And he even brought the ground plans!

"I'd say first of all we make this place unplottable and then we should start researching how to make a Secret Keeper for this place, so it's really guarded." He looked around, the smile slowly fading as he thought about logistics. "We need an inventory of stuff and perhaps we should think about setting up a few rooms with beds and stuff, so we can occasionally stay the night. Perhaps, in time, we'll need safe houses, too." This thing was growing by the second. They needed help. Desperately.

Terry shook his head. He'd spent St. Patrick's Day with Aidan's family- things often got very interesting, even when there wasn't a holiday going on. "I can't wait. Maybe we can bring the shamrock with us? I'm sure girls would love it."

Glancing back down at the plans, Terry nodded. "Right. I could probably get rid of the files on his land so no one comes looking for it too." He paused and considered what else needed to be covered. "It's a spell, isn't it? And I wouldn't mind being Secret Keeper." He ran a hand through his hair. "I agree with everything you just said, but we can't overwhelm ourselves. Let's stick to making this place hidden and safe and knowing what we have here so far. Then we'll decide where people can stay and set up those facilities along with food storage. We can do some plumbing too so food can be brought here or something. Sound alright?"

This time Aidan had no problem giving his friend a glare. "The shamrock was...something we will never mention again."

Quite conveniently Aidan turned back to the buildings. "For some useful spells we should activate the Hermione-connection again." The Irishman suggested and sighed. He really wished the days had more hours. Already Aidan was exhausted and with his exams coming up in a few weeks time he barely had an idea what to do with himself. He knew the day would come when even coffee wouldn't keep him awake and he feared making a mistake.

"All right, then." Aidan agreed and rubbed the bridge of his nose. "We hide this, perform some more research and deal with the plumbing."

"But green is such a good color on you." Terry laughed. "Alright, alright, down to business."

Terry's brow furrowed. "If you wanted Hermione to do the protective spells, why didn't we bring her? Though we are capable wizards who can protect a building." He studied his best friend for a minute and realized how incredibly tired he looked. "But it can wait. We've both got work and the like; I'm glad we came and got a look the area." He folded the papers up and minimized the folder to put in his pocket again. "So how about I make it unplottable for now and then destroy all files of this land and buildings so it's harder to track us down, perform more research and then deal with plumbing and all that? And somewhere in the mix we find time to bring Hermione in to help make this place safe?"

Without waiting for a reply, which he knew would be yes, Terry pulled out his wand, pointed it at the buildings, muttered a few words and then they vanished.
