Who: Megan and Hannah
What: Megan visits her friend
Where: Mungo's
When: During visiting hours
Rating: PG?

Megan was trying not to think about everything Hannah must have been through. She knew it must have been a horrible ordeal. She didn't want to know what sort of things they must have said, and she hadn't seen or heard enough about what had happened to know if they had done anything physically abusive to her. She shuddered slightly at the possibility of what might await her as she made her way through the maze of Mungo's.

Sooner than she would have liked, she was pausing outside Hannah's door, unsure of whether or not she was up to this visit. Would Hannah be different? Would she be going through post-traumatic stress disorder or something of the sort? She seemed normal in her journal, but you never know...

With a deep breath, Megan pushed open the door to Hannah's room, the bouquet of tulips coming into view as she stepped through. "Hey Han," she greeted, offering a slightly nervous smile.

Hannah took a deep breath and attempted to keep her sudden bout of nerves from overwhelming her. She was perfectly safe in St. Mungo’s. She could even do magic again. In fact, she had been doing spells all morning in spite of the annoyance it seemed to cause the Healers. This was also the reason why she was currently alone. She had finally been able to convince her father to take Jacob and go out to lunch. It looked as though he hadn’t had a proper meal since the entire ordeal started and Hannah hated to think about what he had gone through to get her back. Hannah knew that they didn’t have anywhere near the amount of money the Renegades had demanded in exchange for her return. The possibilities of how he managed to get the money and what he probably had to give up for it made Hannah sick to her stomach. In the silence, it was that plus everything else that had happened in the past few months that seemed to be the only things Hannah could think of despite her effort to distract herself.

The creak of the door though quickly snapped Hannah’s mind back to the present, and she scrambled to a sitting position as she automatically reached for her wand. Her sudden burst of panic subsided though as Megan’s voice greeted her and she was reminded of exactly where she was. “Megan,” breathed Hannah, hoping that the relief she felt didn’t show in her voice. She gave her a small smile. “Hey. How are you? It’s good to see you.”

That was exactly what Megan had been afraid of. The first thing Megan saw when she pushed open the door was a terrified-looking Hannah. Had she thought her kidnappers were back for her again? She grimaced inwardly at the thought. She couldn't imagine living in a state of fear like that. It had been bad enough when she had been afraid of being kidnapped in the first place. Having experiences to base things off of must have been so much worse.

"I'm good," Megan answered, doing her best to pretend as if she hadn't seen her friend go into panic mode. "I brought you these." She placed the colorful vase of flowers on her bedside table. "Thought they'd bring some life into the place." Megan hated hospitals. "How're you doing?"

Hannah reached down and untwisted the blankets from around her legs and then leaned back into the pillows. She felt rather silly now, after all she knew Megan was going to visit. “They’re lovely,” stated Hannah, taking a moment to admire the bright flowers. The room was far too white for her tastes and Hannah never understood how people we’re supposed to get better in such a sterile environment. It was so depressing in her mind. “Thank you.”

Hannah shrugged. “I’m okay,” she said. This had become her response to about ninety percent of the questions asked of her since she had been returned. It was enough to keep everyone from fretting over her, but still not as positive as ‘good’ or ‘fine’ that they couldn’t see through the response and call it a lie. Honestly, Hannah wasn’t sure how she was doing as she had a wide range of emotions in the past few days, some of which came at the oddest of times. “Just ready to go home. But I did get my magic back today so that’s certainly made me feel better. I still can’t believe about who it was that caused the whole thing though.” She had been convinced that it had been a part of the Renegades plans.

"Welcome," she chirped easily. Hannah didn't need to know there was a bit of selfish intent behind the bright gift.

"I know. It's positively ridiculous," she muttered, eyes narrowing at the thought of the wretched woman who had brought this all upon them. "How could she possibly have thought it would aid her cause to make so many people miserable? She must have known people would find out she had done it eventually." Megan had been miserable without her magic, and it had only gotten worse when she had sought comfort for the fact in the arms of an old flame. As far as she was concerned, squib lady was to blame for most all of her problems at the moment.

Hannah nodded. While she could agree with Megan’s statement, a part of her did understand why the woman would do it. She didn’t necessarily agree with the way she went about it, but Hannah thought MacFerson must have had a rather hard time of it if she felt the need to resort to such desperate measures. Megan seemed to be a bit more than just upset though. “Everything alright?” Hannah felt the need to ask. While she had certainly had a hard time the past few months, she knew that things hadn’t exactly been pleasant back home either.

Megan hesitated at Hannah's question. Was it ridiculous to complain about your problems to someone who had just gone through what was sure to be the worst experience of her life? It seemed a bit silly to whine about boy problems when someone had just been kidnapped and Merlin knows what else, but perhaps it would give Hannah something else to think about. She had said she wanted to get caught up on everything she'd missed.

"Er- well, yeah," she admitted weakly. "It's Spencer. We sort of-" She sighed and willed herself to blurt it out. "We slept together." And before Hannah had a chance to lecture her (which she was sure she would) Megan quickly added, "And yes, I know it was a mistake, believe me. I don't even know how I let it happen. But that's not the end of it, you know..." She bit her lip. "When he came to talk to me about it a while later, he told me he's started seeing Bredina Dunstan. Two weeks after sleeping with me!"
