Who:  Remy LeBeau & [OTA]
What:  Remy has this problem with being bored..
Where:  Near the Theater.
When:  Day 16, 8:45pm
Rating:  PG
Status:  Dropped

After the mutant had entertained himself with Le Docteur, he'd settled down atop one of those tomb stones and had written in his journal some.. looked like there was someone else here, new, it seemed, from his world. Or, a world that was similar. And he was curious. .. Okay, curious was an understatement. He was rapt with fascination at the idea that someone else here was a mutant.. it was like they'd taken Logan, then dropped another one in, to see what his reaction would be. Well, he didn't much like it at all.

But he wasn't going to voice that to anyone. He'd told the Doctor, and no one else needed to know he cared anything about Logan dying. That was his business.

So after that bout of entertainment with the Doctor, he'd gone back to the Barn for a few moments, but had been utterly bored, and feeling quite alone.. so he'd wandered back out, into the darker night, since the sun had recently set, and all the trees made it very dark, very quickly.  And with the Doctor's coat hanging from his shoulders, gloved hands pushed deep into his pockets, he was moving through the outskirts of the town between the library and the theater, sharp eyes on a look out for someone-- anyone-- to keep him from being bored (and alone).

Though Edward was more of a doll, he was no computer. The innocent creature, eternally young despite the fact that he was over fifty years old, was learned in poetry and etiquette but little else. He was sweet, but not brilliant, nor would he ever be. Maybe he might have been, had the inventor finished him and tied off all of the loose ends, but as it was, Edward existed in eternal childhood.

"No! I'm not dead! It's wonderful!" he said, celebrating with a beaming smile that lit up his black eyes. "You haven't seen me around?" Confused by the figure of speech, Edward started turning in slow circles, staring at the ground, until he felt dizzy and had to stop. "There! You've seen me 'around' now. Yes?"

The Cajun laughed as Edward spun and he nodded, eyebrows raising up into his hairline. "Oui, petite. Seen you 'roun' now." He agreed in that same smooth tone. "Wha' you doin' ou' here so la'e? Sun gonna go down an' you gonna be ou' here in 'de dark." It was a soft reminder but also a soft chide.

"Where you been stayin', I walk you 'dere, non?" He didn't particularly want Edward wandering around as he was. Sure, he knew the kid could defend himself, even if he wasn't trying to. But it didn't mean that Remy felt good about just letting the boy walking around in this town all on his own. Really, the same could be said for him, but like the Doctor, he thought he was outside the norm.

Too many people thought they were outside the norm, here.
