What: Anti-Watanuki fun
Where: Outside, somewhere near the museum and the theater

Status: Active

The snow had been melting, and, as with spring, with it came birth. The false Watanuki was, at first, surprised to find that he had been granted physical form. Then, his lips curled into an almost-sneer. Why would he not be given physical form? He was the potential Watanuki, he realized, as his memories began to take form. All the wasted energy of the real one was his to use.

He walked slowly, making his way down the road. It was all very new to him, being alive, and he was having a bit of difficulty coming into his own thoughts and body. The real Watanuki had so many thoughts, so many opinions, so much social conditioning that he simply could not understand. He also had many complex interpersonal relationships. Then there was that bizarre power he had, the one that the real Watanuki had had seventeen years to come to terms with; he'd barely had seventeen seconds.

Pushing his glasses up on his face, he inhaled deeply. The air was still a little crisp, and he'd inhaled with too much vigor. He broke into a coughing fit, doubling over slightly. He was not, for the moment, aware of anyone else in the area.

"Wow!" came the soft, happy voice that came echoing down the road. A giggle followed it. "Lucky me! I get BOTH the Domeki and the Watanuki? I was only expecting one, but I won't say no to both!"

What did not follow that voice, however, was a five inch ball of light. In its place was a girl, who barely stood at five feet tall, with long, platinum colored hair, pale skin, and two massive, transparent wings. She glowed a brilliant golden color, and her eyes were a deep shade of blue. Her feet were bare, and she had on a dress from the thrift shop that she had doctored slightly; it was white, form fitting, and its jagged hem stopped just past her mid thigh. When she was five inches tall, such details about her were lost, almost completely invisible. In her larger form, though, Tinker Bell was quite stunning.

Running as fast as she could, she giggled and began to slow when she saw them. When she reached Domeki's side, she tossed her arms around his waist, hugging him tightly. "You really are the best for coming to get me!" she exclaimed. Standing on tiptoe, she planted a kiss on his cheek. It left a golden glow in the shape of her lips behind, and it tingled slightly. She looked over at Watanuki and wrinkled her nose. "You're the second best this time. Sorry, Watanuki. Better luck being my hero next time!"

Idiot? Oh, yes, he remembered. That was what Domeki and Watanuki called each other. His eyes narrowed, the blue one becoming almost steely and the gold one almost glowing. The corner of his lip turned upwards into a sneer, and he peered over the upper rim of his glasses at him. "I'm taking a walk, Idiot. What do you think I'm doing? Why should I have to stay in there with Shannon? She's your problem anyway. As far as I'm concerned, she can take a long walk off of a short pier. Why should I have to babysit?"

"What are you doing out here, anyway, dumbass? Not like you've got something more important to be doing than defending the woman that you care so much about. Why would you leave her all alone if she really matters to you? Selfish."

At that moment he heard a piercing voice, and he winced slightly. Adjusting his glasses, he stared down the road at the beautiful girl who was running towards them. He gawked for a few moments. Who was she? His memories, hazy as they were, began to fill in. She looked somewhat like a girl he remembered. No, she wasn't a girl, she was a fairy. And she liked fruit. But she was big now? And she was gorgeous.

Advancing on them, he shoved Domeki to the side and bowed deeply to her. "Tinker Bell," he said, "I am enchanted that you could join us. I hope you know, however, that I will not settle for being second, especially to this idiot." He cocked his head at his friend. Kneeling in front of her, he kissed the back of her hand, looking up at her. "He may be a hero, but I am a gentleman."

Domeki narrowed his eyes at Watanuki. He took a long moment to study the slender body of his friend but there was nothing obvious to mark him as a fraud - all was as he remembered, right down to the golden eye. Domeki still couldn't shake the feeling that there was something off about the Watanuki standing before him but he felt that it had largely to do with the words and the attitude currently being presented. He had never known his classmate not to show concern for someone in need - even, or sometimes especially, if the someone was a stranger.

"You seemed to like Shannon a rather lot yesterday," he ventured. Domeki was doing his best to keep an even voice even as he searched for some way to test the person before him. "You did spend drink most of the night away with her, didn't you?"

"I left her alone because I thought you would be there with her," he admitted with a casual shrug. His expression still held at a cautious neutral, not feeding anything back. "I thought I could go find Bell if--"

His thoughts and words were interrupted by the sound of a feminine voice and Domeki found himself staring in surprised amusement as a short but beautiful girl ran over to join them. It wasn't hard for him to place the spirited girl as a larger version of Bell and he managed a smile and a laugh when she threw her arms around him. The kiss to the his cheek, as well as the tingling which followed, came as a surprise to him but he seemed pleased enough by the show of affection.

"I'm glad that you're doing alright, Bell. I--" His words trailed away as he found himself shoved to the side and Domeki again watched in confusion as Watanuki knelt to kiss the back of the fairy's hand. A faint frown tugged at the left corner of his lips but he held his silence and simply watched - for now.

She giggled and held onto Domeki for a few moments more. Tink's grip was intense; it was as if she did not want to let him go. "Oh, I never said that I was all right. At least I'm not alone anymore, though, and I'm glad for that. Though I wasn't particularly alone in the thrift shop towards the end there, though, but that's beside the point. I'm glad to be with people I actually know who aren't acting all that weird."

At just that moment, however, Domeki almost flew from her grip. She stood there, mouth open, as she gawked in amazement. Now, she had never seen the two of them together in the same place, but she was pretty certain that best friends didn't usually shove each other. "Hey, what was that abo--"

Looking down at Watanuki, she blushed a little and her glow turned a faint pink. She had never known Watanuki to be charismatic and romantic towards her. Was there something that she'd been missing? After all, he had asked her to the dance that she'd been planning. And for someone that she'd shot down so violently, for someone who had suffered the bad end of her temper, he seemed awfully forgiving. The Japanese were pretty nice people. Honestly, she'd been downright shocked when Domeki had offered to save her.

"Of course I'd join you," she offered up, gently tugging her hand away with a giggle. "I mean, you're the only two people that I have left. Everybody else thinks I'm a bloody stupid ass for the mood swing I suffered yesterday. Well, maybe not Dean. I'm still not sure on that whole thing. And Mister Decorations Man. But that's different. I figured I'd be alone forever. I still feel terribly about that, though, and I don't know what to do to make up for it anymore. Ugh. Everything's so odd today."

Arms crossing over her chest, she smiled and canted her head to the side. "So, where are you two staying? Where are we going so I don't have to be on my own with strangers anymore? I feel so much better knowing that I've got the two of you, now. I promise that I will try much harder to hold my temper off. It's so hard for me. I can only hold one emotion inside of me at a time, and I don't know how to not get angry at things that bother me. I guess I need lessons."

"Of course I didn't," he retorted. Drinking didn't seem like something that he'd do a whole lot of. "I barely know her. That's why I don't want to play babysitter with her. I'm sick and tired of taking care of people that I don't know. Too many damn needy people! They need to learn to stand on their own two feet. Or they need to find somebody else to rely on. I don't want the job. I just want to be myself and not have to worry unnecessarily so much anymore. Is that a lot to ask?"

"Besides," he continued once Tink had taken her hand away from him. He stood up, wrapping one arm around her waist, and pulling her close to him. "I can't trust you to be alone with this angel. You're a filthy, lustful pig, and something horrible could have happened to her. Have you seen her? It's too risky for something this delicate, this precious, this beautiful, to be left alone. Anyone could come along and smash her to bits on your watch."

He grabbed Tinker Bell's chin and turned her head towards him, his grip around her waist tightening, almost squeezing her too hard. Leaning in, he kissed her square on the lips. Once he was finished, he shoved her aside.

"Eh. Disappointing. It definitely wasn't as magical as it should have been. She's actually a little bit bitter tasting." He smirked, glaring at Tink. "Or maybe it's just all of that hate that you seem to have towards everybody. Nobody would actually want to be with you, no matter how beautiful you are. Domeki only came because it would make him look better to everyone else. He tries so hard to look like a good person."
