Here she came, what used to be left of Luna Lovegood in all her decomposing glory. Her body had shifted, struggling to walk as most of the muscles in her legs were gone as did her stomach and part of her face. Her body had been badly burned, there was barely anything left of her to even look at.

All she could partly think about was eating, gaining blood and muscle she had lost by eating some brains herself.

A gentle sniff of a collapsed nose allowed her to smell, briefly a human around her.

A mostly decayed, burned up corpse being fast? Please. She was slower than a damn snail on a dirt road. The sound caught her attention and she made a half-arsed groan as she stumbled forward in her walk, her arms out to catch him. The burned corpse walked towards the noise, slowly, having turned away from the two of the other men that were there.

As she slightly tripped, what was left of her squishy eyeball fell out of her socket, swinging to and fro.

Connor had been more than ready to take off when Andy had told him to. He didn't just typically walk headfirst into danger. There had to be a reason. Abby, or Jenny, or even Cutter in danger, or a group of innocent bystanders. Maybe he wasn't the brightest star in the sky, but he wasn't stupid, and Connor rather valued being alive.

But then the glow of lights shimmered and Connor groaned. And his groan turned into a gasp of horror when he realised what Chris was doing. He paused, somewhere between running for his life with Andy and watching his new friend face-off with one very dead young-woman.

"No!" he shouted, too distraught at the moment to care. "Dammit, Chris! This isn't your problem, stay away!" Granted, Connor didn't know what sorts of trouble a zombie could give someone who was part...well, angel. But it didn't sound good, regardless. Besides, there were two of them, him and Andy. They were much more likely to fight off the undead. Right?

Right! Connor bent down, not taking his eyes off the head that had likely been covered in light blonde hair at some point. He felt around until he felt a rock under his hand and then closed his fingers around it. "Oi!" he called to the corpse. Just how much could dead people understand, exactly? "Fair fight, over here!" He hurled the rock in the direction of the charred head. Of course, Connor was a brain, not a jock, but the rock hit the dead woman's shoulder, at least!

The lights caught Andy's attention more than the voice that came from them as another man appeared. "Okay, what the fuck?!" he gasped, eyes wide. Illyana apparently was not the only one who could teleport. "Jesus, we have a whole goddamn parade of freakshows around here," he breathed.

Luna turned toward the other man and Andy could hear Connor calling out to him, calling him off, but all Andy could do was stare at Luna. He couldn't decide if he wanted to throw up or cry. He thought maybe it was a combination of both. Even moreso when Connor reached down, picked up a rock, and flung it at her. Andy cringed instinctively when Connor hit her. Part of him was glad that Connor missed, because he could only assume that Connor was aiming for the blonde's head. "Stop," he said in a low voice, frowning.

Then, Andy took a few steps between Luna and Connor. "Luna," he said quietly. "Hey, c'mon, stop it." It was worth a shot, even if he was pretty sure that all that was left of Luna in there was the shell of her body. "C'mon it's me. I took care of you. I kept you safe until you left. I'm the one who failed you, okay? Leave them out of it." He was trying to appeal with a zombie. Clearly, Andy had officially cracked. "They're in the wrong place at the wrong time. You don't want them."

Chris moved a half-step back when the zombie turned but made no hurry to move further. He'd let her come closer and then move, aiming to stay just out of reach. It was safer for him to play cat-and-mouse with a zombie, he figured, when he could just orb away if necessary.

"Get the hell out of here, you two!" he called in their general direction, not taking his eyes off her.

Well, not until she tripped, and he gagged at the sight, jerking his head to one side as he covered his mouth. The whitelighter had seen a lot, but that was just disgusting.

That's right, her eye swung back and forth as she hobbled towards Chris. The rock distraction had been cause and Luna turned around, walking towards Andy who was speaking loud enough to catch her attention.

Another loud groan was offered as she tried to move faster but her limbs were sharp and made it difficult to do such.

No, no, no! Connor had seen enough death the last few months. He wasn't going to lose anyone else. Even if he'd just met the pair of them, he wasn't going to let either one of them suffer. Not if he could help it.

Okay, so the sight of the once-girl was grotesque. But worse things had happened, right? He'd seen people get eaten, and really, didn't that top everything? Sort of. He rushed forward, yanking Andy back by the arm. "Leave it," he said quietly, his voice barely above a whisper. Obviously the zombie girl couldn't understand the pleading words leaving Andrew at that moment. But she could hear sounds. "She's not... She's not who she was, Andy. It's not her in there. Just her body."

At least, he hoped so. Instead of yelling for Chris again, Connor merely gestured. Sometimes, even when at his most socially awkward, he was able to have some common sense. He waved at his magical friend to move it. There was no way he was leaving either of them behind. But at that moment, Andy seemed in the most danger. Not because of any apparent weakness, but because he'd obviously at some point been attached to the now singed woman.

Andy ignored the unfamiliar man and stared at the back of Luna's head, willing her to turn around. Maybe it wasn't so bad. Maybe it was just burns; he could deal with burns. Even blood...he could go that, that wasn't a really big deal, right? But when he'd started talking to her and she turned, Andy's stomach knotted and he swallowed back the urge to gag. He could hear Connor telling him what he already knew, but it didn't make him any less inclined to try.

He and Luna had shared a bond much like the one he now shared with Elliot, only he felt it was almost more intimate with Luna for lack of sex. They were close based on the fact that they liked being around one another and nothing more. They'd woken up together in the woods on their first day; she'd taken care of him when he'd been in pain from the leg wound. They'd laughed and played stupid little games with their matches and Tic-Tacs together when no one was looking. He missed her.

And Connor was right that all that was left was the body. It was in horrible shape and she looked more like a nightmare than the dreamy thing she'd once been - so bright and cheerful, now reduced to charred skin, a dangling eyeball and a rancid stench. But Andy couldn't move any further than Connor had yanked him, because he couldn't stop staring at her.

"Get off me," he muttered, wrenching his arm back away from Connor. The tone in his voice was neutral rather than nasty, but the movement said enough. He didn't want to go.

Then, his attention turned to Luna again, although his eyes never left her, however difficult she was, now, to look at. "I'm sorry," he said quietly, looking her in the eye - the one she had left in tact while consciously ignoring the other. It was more for himself than it was for the reanimated corpse of what had once been his friend. What was worst was that it was his fault she was like this.

Luna was dead because Andy had failed to do his job. He'd promised her he'd protect her and the moment she went off alone, he'd taken it too personally to man up, look for her, and keep taking care of her. Instead, he'd let her go. Andy had been too stubborn and too proud in the wake of Dean's flirtations with Luna to try again to explain himself to her so that she would understand and come home. So, now here she was, dead, walking, stinking, and rotting...and hungry, from the looks of it.

As Chris got his gag reflex under control he turned his head back to see the zombie heading toward the other two. Despite the seriousness of the situation he couldn't keep from rolling his eyes and groaning in mild frustration. Why did no one ever listen? Once he'd thought it was just the Charmed Ones that didn't like to listen; lord knew Leo had just as much trouble with them as Chris had in the short time he'd been around and acting as their whitelighter. Now he was starting to think maybe it was just the way things were destined to go for him.

Regardless, he wasn't letting anything happen to either of these innocents. Not when he could help it.

He took a few steps toward the zombie, but it wasn't so he could offer himself as a distraction this time. It was to make it easier for him to use his magic abilities. While it was writ that whitelighters were never to kill, did it count if the creature was already dead? Chris didn't think it did, not that it mattered much when it was a rule he had previously broken.

Green eyes focused on the back of her head, narrowing with the intensity of his gaze, and he reached out slightly with one hand, fingers slowly curling as if he were grabbing at the air. He was in actuality putting his telekinesis to work. In the past he focused on the heart, as that was what normally gave life, but in the movies everyone always went for the head with zombies so he was trying that tactic as well. In his mind's eye he envisioned the brain, visualizing and willing his telekinetic power to wrap around the vital organ and apply pressure in the same manner as he was curling his fingers into a fist. The power Chris was exerting was making his breath shorten up, his own heart racing, but he didn't let up focus. He wouldn't let up until he saw the zombie fall, and if he needed to crush the heart as well he would, assuming he had the magical strength left to do so.
