Who: Luna Zombie & OTA
Where: Near the Gym
When: 1pm, Day 21
Status: Incomplete

Here she came, what used to be left of Luna Lovegood in all her decomposing glory. Her body had shifted, struggling to walk as most of the muscles in her legs were gone as did her stomach and part of her face. Her body had been badly burned, there was barely anything left of her to even look at.

All she could partly think about was eating, gaining blood and muscle she had lost by eating some brains herself.

A gentle sniff of a collapsed nose allowed her to smell, briefly a human around her.

The gym seemed as good a place to start as any. Connor had agreed to meet up with Andy, mostly in an effort to find food. He knew supplies were limited at the Clock Tower, and after spending about twenty-four full hours there, he was determined to get out of there. Stat.

Besides, he'd been in this place a few days already and knew almost nothing. The first day, he and Chris had basically hid from idiots. The second day, Connor had been a whopping 6 years-old and had spent his day climbing trees, giving Rose heart attacks, and making a totally excellent Donatello. (After all, who else would a future techie and inventor play?). By day 3, he was large again, but hiding from blood thirsty birds.

So when Andy had offered him both an out and a tour of the place, he'd jumped at it. No more birds! He was free to run around like normal!

Of course, what he actually walked up to was much, much worse.

While Andy had been making plans to meet up with Connor to find food, Lexie had weighed in on his request for fresh Band-Aids, which, Andy decided, would save him a trip to the pharmacy. So, he decided he would got to the gym to meet up with her, get the Band-Aids, and then head out toward the clocktower to meet Connor somewhere along the way. The clocktower was all the way across town, so at least, Andy figured, even if the walk was a little longer to get to the gas station, where he normally went for food, he'd be able to show his new friend around the town as they went. Killing two birds with one stone. It was just a shame that it was only an analogy and he hadn't been able to literally do so yesterday when he'd needed to.

It had been a while since Andy had actually gotten to walk around rather than run for one reason or another, so he decided to leave the van for Elliot and go on foot. It took a while, but he could soon see the gym in the distance before him and with it, the outline of two people. One of them, by his best guess, was Connor. The other, he couldn't see very well yet.

"Hey, yo, Steggy, that you?" he called out. The fog and darkness surrounding them even though it was well into the afternoon made it difficult to tell for sure. Then again, Andy also hadn't met Connor as an adult, so he could only assume that it was his friend meeting him. Could be anyone, he figured, but that'd be kind of a high level of coincidence. "Who's your friend?" he added, breaking into a lazy jog to try to close the gap between himself and the other two.

There was a groan, it sounded more like blood curdling in the lungs due to the lack of having an actual working voice box. When she heard and smelled the two, she walked a little faster, albeit stiffer than before towards Connor. Had there been saliva, she would have been drooling but the badly burned Luna could not do so.

As such, she moved her arms out barely, quickly hoping to latch onto Connor.

Steggy. Well, that had to be Andy, because everyone else had taken to either calling him Connor--you know, his name--or Quasimodo. Seriously, he was going to have such an identity crisis when he got out of this place. When, not if, thanks.

Course, that 'when' would come into question when the woman...sort of, stumbling towards them became clearer. But for the moment, Connor simply glanced over his shoulder in surprise. "Oh, hey, yeah, definitely me." Unless other six year-olds had been running around dressed like the Clash meets the White Stripes. Then again, who knew what year Andy was from? But most six year-olds didn't, and Connor still had the trusty fedora in place. "Thought I'd swing by the gym, see if Chris made it back there, but hey know that you're here--"

He hadn't even noticed his 'companion'. Until Andy mentioned it. And Connor turned around and blinked. "Um. Nope. I don't think we've met?"

And that was when the undead moved forward, as if running for her life. Well. She sort of was, wasn't she? Connor took several slow steps backwards, in the direction of Andy's voice, but his eyes didn't move from the approaching figure. "Somehow I don't think she's just here to say hi," he called out, then wondered if he shouldn't have. Could zombies hear? He knew they could smell. Well, he assumed they could smell, it wasn't as if he'd ever actually met one! But he'd seen the zombie flicks on the three a.m. movie hour and they could definitely smell.

Was it possible the red-eyed weirdo bloke was right? Dammit, Connor liked his brain, thanks!

Andy's eyebrows raised as the person with Connor started moving faster - awkwardly - toward him. He raised them even higher when Connor started moving backward toward Andy and called out that he didn't think she - whoever she was - was just there to say hello. Andy started toward the two of them and stopped dead in his tracks a few feet away when he got a particularly good look at the woman - nay, corpse - moving toward his new friend. The long blonde hair gave it away, especially since it was singed and matted to her head. And bloody, which he could only guess was left over from the floor in the mirror room. He stared back at her, horrified and felt himself shudder both in disgust and fear. "Jesus..." he breathed. "Jesus Christ..." It was Luna.

"Connor..." he started slowly, taking a few more steps toward his friend until he could reach to snag the other man's collar, dragging him back. "C'mon man, let's fucking book," he said in a low voice. She looked as though she was aching to hurt them and Andy wasn't particularly fond of the idea of sticking around to find out. "Like, now," he added hastily, eyes never leaving the burned face of his former partner in crime here. He'd never seen her look more grotesque, even though he'd seen her in the mirror room; it must have been, Andy thought, because this time...she was moving.

Under normal circumstances, it was easy for the whitelighter to know if his charge was in trouble. There was that sometimes annoying telepathic connection for starters, but there was also a little alarm of sorts that went off, like a soft tinkling of bells. Chris didn't have any of that here, as he was operating on his own, outside of the reach of the Elders apparently. But his magic, thus far, still worked so it wasn't out of the question that such a connection would develop between he and his chosen charge. It just hadn't happened yet.

He was, however, pretty good at sensing when bad things were about to happen, and his current state of anxiety and awareness only played into it. Chris had decided to stay in the gym, figuring it very well could become the central location of the day given the presence of the clinic. That and he kind of wanted to keep an eye on Rose. But when he thought he heard people outside and got that feeling same as he had been struck with that morning when he noticed the machete it couldn't be ignored.

A quick pop of his head outside told Chris his senses were right. He couldn't make everyone out at first glance but he could pick up on the difference between alive and dead, and one of the three was most definitely not of the living. His bet was on the one that was moving a bit oddly. A few steps and he recognized the shadowy outline of a familiar fedora, and his protective instincts kicked in full force.

Without thinking about the danger to himself, Chris orbed over a few feet behind the zombie, almost immediately covering his nose and coughing at the smell from the undead body. "Hey! Zombie girl, over here!" He purposely called out louder than necessary, wanting to be sure he got the zombie's attention, and he took another step or two toward the zombie, putting himself practically within reach if the zombie were to move fast enough. To be a good distraction he had to make himself more appetizing than Connor and Andy, and he figured being closer and louder would help. What exactly he was going to do once he got the zombie's attention on him, Chris wasn't sure, but he'd figure it out. Right now what mattered was keeping the other two safe.

A mostly decayed, burned up corpse being fast? Please. She was slower than a damn snail on a dirt road. The sound caught her attention and she made a half-arsed groan as she stumbled forward in her walk, her arms out to catch him. The burned corpse walked towards the noise, slowly, having turned away from the two of the other men that were there.

As she slightly tripped, what was left of her squishy eyeball fell out of her socket, swinging to and fro.

Connor had been more than ready to take off when Andy had told him to. He didn't just typically walk headfirst into danger. There had to be a reason. Abby, or Jenny, or even Cutter in danger, or a group of innocent bystanders. Maybe he wasn't the brightest star in the sky, but he wasn't stupid, and Connor rather valued being alive.

But then the glow of lights shimmered and Connor groaned. And his groan turned into a gasp of horror when he realised what Chris was doing. He paused, somewhere between running for his life with Andy and watching his new friend face-off with one very dead young-woman.

"No!" he shouted, too distraught at the moment to care. "Dammit, Chris! This isn't your problem, stay away!" Granted, Connor didn't know what sorts of trouble a zombie could give someone who was part...well, angel. But it didn't sound good, regardless. Besides, there were two of them, him and Andy. They were much more likely to fight off the undead. Right?

Right! Connor bent down, not taking his eyes off the head that had likely been covered in light blonde hair at some point. He felt around until he felt a rock under his hand and then closed his fingers around it. "Oi!" he called to the corpse. Just how much could dead people understand, exactly? "Fair fight, over here!" He hurled the rock in the direction of the charred head. Of course, Connor was a brain, not a jock, but the rock hit the dead woman's shoulder, at least!

The lights caught Andy's attention more than the voice that came from them as another man appeared. "Okay, what the fuck?!" he gasped, eyes wide. Illyana apparently was not the only one who could teleport. "Jesus, we have a whole goddamn parade of freakshows around here," he breathed.

Luna turned toward the other man and Andy could hear Connor calling out to him, calling him off, but all Andy could do was stare at Luna. He couldn't decide if he wanted to throw up or cry. He thought maybe it was a combination of both. Even moreso when Connor reached down, picked up a rock, and flung it at her. Andy cringed instinctively when Connor hit her. Part of him was glad that Connor missed, because he could only assume that Connor was aiming for the blonde's head. "Stop," he said in a low voice, frowning.

Then, Andy took a few steps between Luna and Connor. "Luna," he said quietly. "Hey, c'mon, stop it." It was worth a shot, even if he was pretty sure that all that was left of Luna in there was the shell of her body. "C'mon it's me. I took care of you. I kept you safe until you left. I'm the one who failed you, okay? Leave them out of it." He was trying to appeal with a zombie. Clearly, Andy had officially cracked. "They're in the wrong place at the wrong time. You don't want them."

Chris moved a half-step back when the zombie turned but made no hurry to move further. He'd let her come closer and then move, aiming to stay just out of reach. It was safer for him to play cat-and-mouse with a zombie, he figured, when he could just orb away if necessary.

"Get the hell out of here, you two!" he called in their general direction, not taking his eyes off her.

Well, not until she tripped, and he gagged at the sight, jerking his head to one side as he covered his mouth. The whitelighter had seen a lot, but that was just disgusting.

That's right, her eye swung back and forth as she hobbled towards Chris. The rock distraction had been cause and Luna turned around, walking towards Andy who was speaking loud enough to catch her attention.

Another loud groan was offered as she tried to move faster but her limbs were sharp and made it difficult to do such.

No, no, no! Connor had seen enough death the last few months. He wasn't going to lose anyone else. Even if he'd just met the pair of them, he wasn't going to let either one of them suffer. Not if he could help it.

Okay, so the sight of the once-girl was grotesque. But worse things had happened, right? He'd seen people get eaten, and really, didn't that top everything? Sort of. He rushed forward, yanking Andy back by the arm. "Leave it," he said quietly, his voice barely above a whisper. Obviously the zombie girl couldn't understand the pleading words leaving Andrew at that moment. But she could hear sounds. "She's not... She's not who she was, Andy. It's not her in there. Just her body."

At least, he hoped so. Instead of yelling for Chris again, Connor merely gestured. Sometimes, even when at his most socially awkward, he was able to have some common sense. He waved at his magical friend to move it. There was no way he was leaving either of them behind. But at that moment, Andy seemed in the most danger. Not because of any apparent weakness, but because he'd obviously at some point been attached to the now singed woman.

Andy ignored the unfamiliar man and stared at the back of Luna's head, willing her to turn around. Maybe it wasn't so bad. Maybe it was just burns; he could deal with burns. Even blood...he could go that, that wasn't a really big deal, right? But when he'd started talking to her and she turned, Andy's stomach knotted and he swallowed back the urge to gag. He could hear Connor telling him what he already knew, but it didn't make him any less inclined to try.

He and Luna had shared a bond much like the one he now shared with Elliot, only he felt it was almost more intimate with Luna for lack of sex. They were close based on the fact that they liked being around one another and nothing more. They'd woken up together in the woods on their first day; she'd taken care of him when he'd been in pain from the leg wound. They'd laughed and played stupid little games with their matches and Tic-Tacs together when no one was looking. He missed her.

And Connor was right that all that was left was the body. It was in horrible shape and she looked more like a nightmare than the dreamy thing she'd once been - so bright and cheerful, now reduced to charred skin, a dangling eyeball and a rancid stench. But Andy couldn't move any further than Connor had yanked him, because he couldn't stop staring at her.

"Get off me," he muttered, wrenching his arm back away from Connor. The tone in his voice was neutral rather than nasty, but the movement said enough. He didn't want to go.

Then, his attention turned to Luna again, although his eyes never left her, however difficult she was, now, to look at. "I'm sorry," he said quietly, looking her in the eye - the one she had left in tact while consciously ignoring the other. It was more for himself than it was for the reanimated corpse of what had once been his friend. What was worst was that it was his fault she was like this.

Luna was dead because Andy had failed to do his job. He'd promised her he'd protect her and the moment she went off alone, he'd taken it too personally to man up, look for her, and keep taking care of her. Instead, he'd let her go. Andy had been too stubborn and too proud in the wake of Dean's flirtations with Luna to try again to explain himself to her so that she would understand and come home. So, now here she was, dead, walking, stinking, and rotting...and hungry, from the looks of it.

As Chris got his gag reflex under control he turned his head back to see the zombie heading toward the other two. Despite the seriousness of the situation he couldn't keep from rolling his eyes and groaning in mild frustration. Why did no one ever listen? Once he'd thought it was just the Charmed Ones that didn't like to listen; lord knew Leo had just as much trouble with them as Chris had in the short time he'd been around and acting as their whitelighter. Now he was starting to think maybe it was just the way things were destined to go for him.

Regardless, he wasn't letting anything happen to either of these innocents. Not when he could help it.

He took a few steps toward the zombie, but it wasn't so he could offer himself as a distraction this time. It was to make it easier for him to use his magic abilities. While it was writ that whitelighters were never to kill, did it count if the creature was already dead? Chris didn't think it did, not that it mattered much when it was a rule he had previously broken.

Green eyes focused on the back of her head, narrowing with the intensity of his gaze, and he reached out slightly with one hand, fingers slowly curling as if he were grabbing at the air. He was in actuality putting his telekinesis to work. In the past he focused on the heart, as that was what normally gave life, but in the movies everyone always went for the head with zombies so he was trying that tactic as well. In his mind's eye he envisioned the brain, visualizing and willing his telekinetic power to wrap around the vital organ and apply pressure in the same manner as he was curling his fingers into a fist. The power Chris was exerting was making his breath shorten up, his own heart racing, but he didn't let up focus. He wouldn't let up until he saw the zombie fall, and if he needed to crush the heart as well he would, assuming he had the magical strength left to do so.
