Who: Andy Gallagher and OTA
What: Looking for Sam
Where: Outside the museum
When: Day 18, 12:45 PM
Rating: PG-13 probably
Status: Active

Lexie was alive. Andy had seen her with his own eyes; touched her with his own hands. If Lexie was alive, then maybe that meant everyone else on the screens was alive, too. If so, then Shannon would be alive, Sam wouldn't be so cryptic and angry, and maybe they could talk. Sam was the one who'd said he'd wanted to talk, after all.

So, after leaving Lexie, however much he'd hated to do so, he made his way to the museum, where he knew Sam had been staying. Whether or not his friend was still there was beyond him, but it was worth a shot. After the surveys that morning, Andy felt a little too uncomfortable with the idea of writing in the damn thing to have gone with his original plan, which was to alert Sam and Elliot of the good news in the journal. He'd do it face to face, now; that was better and more personable anyway. If Elliot didn't find out on her own hearing it through the grapevine by the time he got back to her and the van, he'd tell her, too. But for now, he wanted to know what it was that Sam had wanted to talk about yesterday and to let his friend know that their mutual friend was still alive and well. Shit, maybe he'd even get to meet that Shannon chick in person at this rate.

Taking a deep breath and shrugging off his hoodie, letting it drape over one of his arms, Andy reached up with the other and knocked on the front door of the museum a few times before reluctantly letting himself inside. He ventured a few more steps in before he spoke. "Hello?" he called out. "Uh...anybody home?" After a short pause, he craned his neck reflexively to try and get a better look down the hall across the lobby from where he was standing. "Sam...?" he tried.

"Actually, I haven't checked the library's books for readability. Nothing's salvageable?" That was sort of disappointing, now that he actually thought about it. He wondered if the whole place had been explored, too. Every book looked at. If nothing else, they could burn moldy books for warmth and light. It'd smell a bit, but then they all sort of smelled a bit by this point.

"What've you got? It's hard to keep occupied most of the day. Reading might help some people get past depression at being stuck here." Like poor Shannon, who needed an escape if anyone did. Poor love. He wanted to box her up and keep her someplace safe.

"To be honest," Andy admitted, "I haven't actually been in the library to check for myself, but I know there's a hole in the roof where that tree is sticking out and with all the rain we've had coupled with how decrepit everything already looks, I can only assume. Never mind the smell coming out of there..." he replied.

When Ianto asked what he had, Andy shrugged. "A few philosophical books...some Vonnegut I haven't ever managed to finish," he responded. "And a couple of Playboys hidden back there somewhere, if Elliot hasn't found 'em and trashed 'em by now, but I don't figure those articles would kill very much time," he added with a smirk.
