Who: Leia Organa & Rey
Where: Probably the fringes of the forest, but anywhere between there and town.
When: Tuesday 16th February, late morning
What: Rey arrives in Vallo!
Warnings: Don’t expect any.
It hadn’t been a painful experience, at least not in the end for Rey. All her strength had been sapped, she collapsed. She hadn’t had time really, to be afraid, or wonder what, if anything came next.
But then she woke up; there was dappled, but bright sunlight above her, trees towering over her as she lay amongst the debris of a forest floor. There was a slight chill in the air, bringing Rey to draw in a slow breath and let it out, watching it mist a little in the air. She stayed there, just a moment, trying to make sense of where she was and how she was there. It wasn’t Exegol, it wasn’t anywhere she immediately recognised. Had she only lost consciousness in the battle? She was breathing, she felt the cold of the ground, and the slight warmth of the sun above, and she could hear the ambient sounds of life around her in the trees. This ..didn’t seem at all like death? Not that she knew what it was supposed to be like. Perhaps someone had brought her here?
Her hands found the lightsabers she’d fallen with, Luke's, then Leia's, glad to still be in possession of them both - but it only deepened the mystery, why would she be left with them exactly as they'd came to rest beside her? Slowly Rey got to her feet, finding though she still bore the injuries and the grime of her encounter with Palpatine, she ..didn’t quite feel as weak as she expected. Supposing the way ahead now was to get her bearings, understand where she was and how she had gotten there.
So she walked forward, cautiously so, the two lightsabers firm in her grip as if she was entirely ready to use them should she need to. Lost, disoriented and confused, she did the only thing she could think to begin with, reaching out with the Force, letting it guide toward anything or anyone remotely familiar and hopefully lead her toward making some sense of her situation.
