This device truly is fascinating, though part of me wonders if it can record what I speak and what I also type can it do the same to what I'm simply thinking?

More importantly, can someone explain the new rules of fashion to me? The Google I was directed to is a wealth of information but I think it might be better to get a quick lesson first.

If it could record what I'm thinking, mine would never stop. That would be wild but cut so many corners. How glorious of a thought! ... Until it wasn't, and something embarrassing came out.

The fashion here is a pure delight. Trousers, leggings, they've replaced corsets with bras and they're almost as uncomfortable but not a requirement! Sneakers are a delight and I recently acquired hiking boots and I am just simply in love. What were you wearing before? I've seen people wearing everything from armor to dresses that look like they should be artwork.

I'm not certain my mind goes blank even when I am sleeping.

Do the hiking boots require much looping and buttons as well? Or are they more practical than that? I'll have to see what this bra is like, though I've come to find corsets have quite a few uses if one knows how to utilize them in more unique ways. And I have been wearing entirely too many layers recently but its been a necessity. What are sneakers?

Oh some of my very best thinking comes from dreams and bedtime thoughts.

A little, but not nearly as much as the boots I'm used to, and offer far more support and comfort when exploring the forest. Do they? They're practically a requirement for women where I come from, and Marilla tells me that they're good for spinal support, but I just find them so unbearably comfortable and have to loosen them just so I can think. They're shoes but have an incredible amount of cushion under them and they make you feel as if you could run for ages without the bottoms of your feet falling off? I'm a newfound fan!

Night is the best time for introspection.

I never wore them before recently and I found several ways to use them. One even saved my life. But that might necessary here anyway so I'll try out a bra instead if I must. Are these sneakers good for bicycles?

I agree. I'm Anne, by the way!

How did it save your life? Oh that sounds like the most delightful story, or horrifying, I'm not sure. Either way my imagination is simply running away with itself over possibilities. I've only been here a week and haven't had a chance to try them out with bicycles, but paired with trousers I think you could win several races.

I don't think mind-reading phones have happened yet, but honestly, when Facebook gives me an ad for like, socks after I was thinking I needed to find some more it's next level creepy.

So your high school friends can track you down and/or you can do a little background checks on first dates to make sure they're not Republicans.

Is this your first mobile phone? Welcome to technology.

It is my first mobile phone, yes.

How does it help facilitate background checks? Can anyone be found on it?

As best I can tell, there are no real ironclad rules. I saw a person wearing nothing but a small collection of flowers and leaves yesterday, and no one on the street so much as batted an eye.

People are certainly more comfortable with exposed skin here than they are in the land I came from. I've been here only a few days, but that much has become clear very quickly.

My brothers would be positively scandalized. I see nothing wrong with it if that's what others are comfortable with. Though I mostly don't want to wear a corset or different layers to accentuate I don't want want accentuated.

I don't think it can read thoughts. That would be weird.

Um. Fashion can be like anything you want it to be? Basically.

It would be weird and I suspect difficult to control.

I'm learning that. It's very different than what I'm used to but in a good way.

Yeah. My cat can read minds, but he doesn't usually. Plus, you can just sing annoying songs in your head, which helps with psychics in general.

I don't think I've ever had anything different? I've always been able to wear what I want. Mostly. My parents picked my clothes when I was a kid, but I could give input.

Your cat reads minds? How does that work?

My mother chose the clothes I had available but I always picked what I wished to wear until I had to wear what was needed. It must have been nice to just wear what you wish whenever.

So far the consensus seems to be its not a thing this does.

Perhaps the rules now is that there are no rules.

I would hope it would have come with a warning were it able to.

Seems like an accurate statement. I believe Blue helped Anne with some clothes when she first got here. I'm sure she would be open to helping you as well.

Anne is the one I am talking to first on this, yes? I would like to make the acquaintance of Blue if she can help with that. I don't know the right price of things here.
