My family has always preferred to stay embroiled in politics over the oddities and complexities of magic. I can only hope that Helen made her way back home, where she's safe and likely far happier than Vallo made her.

[GANGSEY (+ Persephone)]

I'd rather focus on Adam– your preference for Friday, please: Laser tag or Escape Room? Arguments can be made here if you want to sway him to a certain side.

Food following, then the evening spent at the Quarry? Should we check with Eddie, Bev & Co for permission...?

[RONAN ONLY]
I thought, perhaps, that Adam would appreciate a homemade cake over something ordered in a bakery. So I got the ingredients for vanilla cake and chocolate frosting.

Help?

I'll take that, because I know he won't. Has he ever hated anything you've given him as a gift? You're good at it.

I found a reasonably priced volume set of The History Of The Decline And Fall Of The Roman Empire from the 1850s. Not first edition, because Adam would murder me outright, but it's a full set.

1850s and reasonably priced aren't usually things that end up in the same sentence, Gans.

Under $100 is very reasonably priced for this set.

[...] Is it too much? Should I just give him one book at a time?

What? No. It's a fucking set. Just be prepared for him to do some mental math when he sees the date on them.

I got you to say "Jesus Christ" for once. Do I get a prize?

You'll be lucky if I don't give you a wet willy.
