Due to present circumstances, I'll be moving to a different apartment at Morningside this weekend. The old one is far too much space for one person. It will be a shame to leave the laboratory behind, but staying would be wasteful. And I do not want to remember

I am considering the necessity of a lab assistant once I have settled somewhere new. Someone studying biology or chemistry or medicine, with an interest in the arcane and in improving lives. Someone organized; one of us should be. Someone in university? Perhaps high school if you are of whatever the legal age is for such things. I don't know what the laws are here. Child labor is fine where I'm from so I haven't looked into it?

Full disclosure I killed my last assistant. I do not intend to do that again, but it seemed relevant.

Does anyone have unused laboratory space I might use for my projects? Brigitte, I had heard you might, but I did not want to impose.

I had studied the natural sciences in university, and am rather interested in the melding of science and magic, but I'll confess, I do typically try to avoid putting myself in mortal danger when I can help it.

I'm not fond of it either, but I admit to having less care than I probably should on the topic.

I suppose some degree of that is to be expected when dealing with lab conditions; I'm afraid I've always been more on the theoretical side of things.

I suppose it would be too much to ask what happened to your last assistant?

I'm used to dangerous lab conditions and more durable than I look.

Not anymore. My school kind of got detethered from the world and floated off into the void.

You are busy, Diego, and I am tired the space. I will hire someone and make it painless.

But thank you.

I'm not that busy. It's fine. It'll swap out for my shoulder day, probably.

I said no, Diego. I do not want it to be a social event. I just want it done.

I do have a space on an upper floor that's got lab equipment. It's back up and currently collecting dust if you want to make it yours.

Thank you, Lena. That is good to hear. Do you mind if I come see the space sometime this weekend to determine if it will fit my needs?

Of course. Is there anything you can salvage from your current lab? Or would you prefer to leave everything where it is?

I’ve set aside a few things. Much is not relevant at present. The hexcore remained in Vallo, but it is currently contained.

I *do* have a ton of space. And Thurvishar recently updated my kitchen space, I don't think it's ever housed better coffee. AND plenty to do, that much I can promise. And the best part is there's my EXPLOSION room. Safe away from the city, recommended.

Also Jayce's forge is still here. If that uh makes it worse or better??

It doesn't make it better or worse. I see him anywhere, regardless.

May I come look at the space this weekend? And I presume you would not object to my having an assistant?

I understand.

I think I will. I am not great with... lots of empty space. I didn't have my own room of course growing up, and the University digs they provided me with were rather small as well. I've grown used to it, no?

I'd say it's good to grow and experience new things, but fuck it. Go with what's comfortable.
