Decorated from head to toe for the occasion, it might look like it cost a million bucks, but Vex'ahlia promises she negotiated steep discounts. The party starts at 7 and goes on late into the night. Costumes aren't required, but highly encouraged. All are invited, Outlander and non-Outlander alike, though you might want to get a babysitter for the little ones and IDs might be requested if you want to drink, but look particularly baby faced.
Cobwebs and dimmed candle-like lights hang from the ceilings. A light fog swirls and curls across the stone floors and spooky sounds intermingle with the sound of mood music. The spacious kitchen area has tall tables setup with black and shimmering tablecloths and adorned with all manor of halloween decorations: dripping black candles, smoking cauldrons, carved pumpkins, crystal balls.
In another room is an open bar, with all manner of drinks available. Even your most normal of drink orders will have a little Halloween flair -- some will have wisps of smoke while another might shimmer, while others instead will have blood (that tastes oddly of cherry) on the rims or inclusions of eyeballs (that may or may not be grapes or olives) and bugs (that could be gummi, but who can tell). There are also lots of choices for non-alcoholic drinks that are just as spooky as the boozy ones, for those that don't imbibe!
There is also a surprise shot available! The shot itself is clear in color, except for a very faint silver shimmer to the liquid, and tastes mildly fruity. What is the surprise, then? Well, there are a whole host of temporary magical effects that can happen when you drink one of these shots. All of the effects are available to be perused so people know what they're getting into, but they are random, so drinker beware! (A full list of the effects can be found in a comment below; feel free to pick one or comment for a random roll!) This can also be non-alcoholic, if you are so inclined!
Adaine Abernant has set up a table where she's offering palm readings for the night, and Percival's lab has been turned into a mad scientist attraction, though wards keep the room from being disturbed. There are a few other rooms that cannot be accessed -- bedrooms, temples to various gods, totally normal things everyone has in their homes -- but otherwise there's plenty of room to dance (a playlist to get in the spirit) and mingle, places to disappear to if you need a breather, and space to generally have a good time. Whether you came for the party or the spooks, it's time to get your boos on and trick or treat yo self!
