Hi, my name is Morgan, and I'm a mimic. I've also fought mimics by the dozens, so here's some advice:

* carry a wrench. A pipe wrench is best, but a sufficiently large crescent wrench will do.
* mimics can only mimic things they've seen, so be very suspicious if you see two of something that you're not sure there should be two of
* When you see a suspicious object, give it a sharp whack with the wrench
* Do not do this to identical twins, mimics can almost never mimic a whole entire human
* Do not do this to me, I have no interest in biting any of you or using you as a host for mimic offspring. I am a very bad cat but I am a nice mimic.
